《chimera》chapter 3

Once I reach the town I a few armed individuals walk towards me, once they see me they actually start running at me. I wait until they’re close enough to talk to me. Man number one says “we have been looking for the wandering healer, we know all his characteristics and you match all of them perfectly so you must be the wandering healer”
Man number two says “if you would please come with us”
Of course I know why they want me. Some rich fat cat is probably sick or something but as I stated before I hate the rich. Those fuckers just take and take and take, never giving an actual amount.
Think about it when a poor man share with you his last piece of bread that means something cause he’s actually experiencing sacrifice. While if a rich man gave me a thousand pieces of the same bread he wouldn’t experience shit, he’d just go back to his rich fat cat life doing whatever the fuck he wanted to do.
Man 1 tries to grab my arm cause I seem to have gotten lost in my head ranting about rich folk. Before anything happens I overload their minds with a bunch of sleep chemicals. They instantly fell asleep.
I run back into the woods. I am a little relieved that nothing happened. I mean seriously they could have had entire armies. It really happened one time.
Now that I am here in my cabin I am kinda bored. So I create some cheap dirt tasting beer. Why you might ask, well because I like the really strong terrible taste. It helps put things in perspective. I also create some for my albert. I am planning on getting drunk with my dog.
-two hours of weird drunk shenanigans which I will leave to your imagination later-

Good god that was so fuckin fun, I feel like a new man. I give my albert a paw five, me and my bud here have been havin the weirdest shenanigans. Also while drunk I figured out how to rearrange the neurons to make albert sentient. Which I know right, what? How the fuck do you did you do that. Well I’ve been doing research on how to let animals attain sentiance.
I’ve been analyzing all the peoples brains that I’ve healed. Also I get most breakthroughs when I'm drunk so you know.
I start reading alberts brain waves to somehow understand him. I clear my and alberts body’s of alcohol. I then submerge myself in trying to understand alberts brain/barks.
I get so submerged that I didn’t hear the soft footsteps, the quiet whispers. I then feel really strong brain waves from albert which alerts me to something. I look up and see men in black, and heavy armor. One of them, the man who I believe to be their leader looks up at me and says “we are here to give you an offer you cannot refuse, we will give any amount of women, money or power to you if you just heal princess jasmine”
I look around me. I boost my adrenaline to have alter my perception of time.
Their trying to get me to heal the princes of the country of aldosouthia, which means their probably royalty of some kind. And I do not heal the rich for any reason. I look around at everyone I formulate a plan in my head. But ….. I wasn’t thinking albert was still connected to my brain and he could feel me thinking.
He could also feel my disapproval for the men in black so he did aas any good guard dog would and went to attack them. He bit one of the men in an uncovered area. The man becomes like limp balloon, as all the blood gets sucked out of him through alberts teeth.

Out of the corner in my eyes I see a man draw his sword. Well guess we're gonna fight. I grab a dagger out of each of my boots then I rush at the man who is about to take a swipe at my albert.
Of course me being me I reach him in a millisecond then I stab him in the heart and brain. Twice.
I feel high, hmm bloodlust? From albert. Seems he killed another one. I check behind me to see albert, and it looks like albert is sucking the blood out of someone. Out of the corner of my eyes I see a man charging at albert. I go to kill the man when I feel albert get stabbed in the heart. I quickly kill the man then look back before the actual shock of the pain gets to me.
I look at albert and find him impaled on a gigantic mans sword. I feel my heart break both metaphorically cause my best friend is dying, and literally because I’m still connected to his brain.
Through the pain I know I can’t save my friend but I do know that I can imprint this memory into my mind so I can remember him forever.
One of the men throws something at me. I start feeling dizzy and then I just drop.

Killstealer
Unfinished - Apologies to anyone who was reading but I have no current intentions to revisit this story Alex was stuck in a rut: He was nearing thirty, and his career seemed to be going no-where; He used to have plenty of friends at university, but had gradually lost touch with them. He had recently started using a dating site, but truthfully he never quite got over his ex. It could be worse; he didn't spend his nights wallowing in self pity. However, he had a sinking feeling that his life was going no-where fast. When Alex decided to take up an old hobby all he really was looking for was something fun to do on friday nights. Thrust into another world by a mad mage Alex must adapt quickly to survive. Unfortunately, Alex showed up late to game night and ends up stuck with a pretty mediocre character in this game like reality. Alex must learn to survive in this new world; just because it all seems like a giant game doesn't make death any less terrifying. This will be my first attempt at writing litrpg. I wanted to set myself the challenge of writing every week and I think knowing people might be reading it will motivate me. I've always worked much better with external deadlines. FAQ Why should I read this LitRPG? I am writing because I enjoy it and you should read it if you enjoy it. If I had to make an elevator pitch I would start off by saying my MC is a rogue type character, which seems a relatively uncommon character at least based on what I have read. I also strive to make the supporting cast three dimensional characters, and not just caricatures. Finally, I can't forget that this is a LitRPG so I have tried to make a RPG system with depth, and one that makes sense. How often will you release chapters? At least once a week is my goal. I am a nurse with a baby at home, so between my hospital and my baby I won't have time for more unless something dramatically changes. Will there be romance? I won't rule it out as I try to let my characters write their own stories. However, there will NEVER be a harem, it just isn't something I am interested in. Gore, Profanity, and Traumatising Content? I don't intend to have any of these present at obscene levels, but my tolerance might be different to yours. The tags are mostly there to cover me. The Nomad: A Starforged ttrpg Playthrough
Life in The Forge is rarely fun, least of all when you've got an AI that wants to turn you over to the authorities, a stolen ship full of creepy cult shit, and you've pissed off the only guy in the Devil's Helix who doesn't want you dead through sheer incompetence. Unfortunately for Ash, worst courier in the helix, that's his day-to-day. When he gets offered an opportunity to get back into this boss's good graces (and finally get something decent to eat), Ash jumps at the chance, even if that means getting tangled back up with figures he'd rather leave in the past. This is a solo play log of Shawn Tomkin's ttrpg Starforged, as such, even I don't know what's going to happen next! Enjoy the ride!

They never called, yet he is here (censored edition)
Introduction:Not every world needs a Summoned Hero, even if it is possible to summon one. No, really! Everywhere, no matter the time, there are always good people who can use glory, power and personal harem themselves. And the one who was summoned? He is just a resource, nothing more… Translation of the original novel by Avada KadavraThe uncensored version is available here.Authors notes:This is just my take on the whole Hero Summoning thing, where a hero happened to survive.Fatal mistake, an error in a well-oiled mechanism that lasted for generations, gave a Hero a tiny chance to decide his own fate. After all, bad guys never expect a Hero to come, yet, the fucker still does.Partially inspired by the series “You summoned the wrong one” by Aitbaev T.A. who was in turn inspired by “Rise of the Shield Hero”.I have to warn you, Aibaev’s work of fiction is pretty out of ordinary, it makes one breath fire, cry until tears turn to blood and laugh to unconsciousness in equal measure.
