《chimera》chapter 1

I just finished up healing a kind old lady of her cold when , she goes and tries to shove some bread in my face, says its to repay my kindness, I politely decline.
I move along back to my camp in the woods. I pull out my bag and press a button and voila the bag transforms into a log cabin. I bought the bag off an extremely skilled dimensional mage. Boy did this thing cost a pretty penny.
Of course money is no object to me since I can just go around getting people to pay me small fees for some healing magic. Although personally I would rather cure people of dire illnesses for free.
Oh yes, I haven’t introduced myself yet. My name is James Majiouse. My current alias is Timmy, no last name, for I am posing as an orphan that never met his parents, while I really am an orphan that had a family, but the story of my family's murder is a tale I’ll save for another time.
Many people call me the wandering healer though, probably because I wander and heal seemingly incurable deadly diseases for basically free.
Now onto events happening in the present. I enter the log cabin and go straight to the basement where I keep my laboratory. I immediately get tackled by one of my closest friends albert. He is my pet/lab-assistant. I love albert and all my other pets. Of course you're probably trying to imagine albert right now so I’ll save you the trouble and just give you a physical description.
Albert is 55 pounds he looks like a small cute dog except when he opens his mouth you find red serrated daggers instead of the normal sorta sharp teeth most dogs his size have.
Albert was my first ever successful creation. I created him out of mixing a few properties of a Lycanthrope which are known for having extremely dangerous sharp teeth that suck the blood out of whichever flesh the Lycanthropes teeth touch and a normal cute mutt variety puppy dog.

The astounding thing is that I created him while believing it was gonna be a miserable failure, I mean I was so depressed after so many other failures, I might have actually quit studying the art of the chimera master (a person who mixes different animals together, and no not in that way obviously you useless perv) anyways back to the story, I was just a bit drunk when I was adding the features of a Lycanthrope with the mutt variety dog. I accessed deep into the puppy's the body took out the normal dog teeth by letting them just drop out if its mouth. I then dug into the Lycanthrope teeth DNA and found out how they work. I went back into the puppy and tinkered around with the gums cells getting them to grow and adapt to Lycanthrope teeth. And surprisingly it worked. I am guessing either the being a tad bit drunk while doing it, or something special about the dog's heritage.
I then went on to create many more chimeras, become a master of the art of the chimera, use my research to become the best healer ever, and many more wild achievements that I really don’t have time to recount.
My albert is my closest friend, I love him as much as I love the world and all my research. He is one of my first friends, since I personally don’t like people all that much.
Albert barks, reminding me that I kinda got lost in my head for a while. I pet albert a little then I get to work. I pick up a vial of acidic poison and a vial of some sticky shit I found and bottled on the side of the road, not joking, sometimes I just scan the road to check for any organic material and if I find some interesting stuff I bottle it and shove it into my bag to experiment on later.

I then really dig deep into the goopy stuff and try to replicate it. I use my magic to grow the goopy stuff giving life to the goopy stuff by using the life energy of some algae.
Oh yes a tid bit, I am a life mage someone who can use magic to dick around with living organisms.
Now as I do this I try to understand the sticky goop what do the atoms inside the sticky goop look like, how much energy they contain (heat).
While I am doing this I also dig into the acidic poison, I already know most of what there is to know about it so I don’t look to deeply I just look deep enough to get a good sense of the state of the acidic poison, just like I expect it’s in mint condition.
I realize the goop is really similar in property to a residue special geckos emit at their fingertips to climb onto things.
I then brainstorm a while on how to mix these two things together when this idea pops into my brain why not make sticky acid, acid that sticks to its victims. I then try a few different ways of mixing the acid and sticky properties of the two things.
I try to meld their chemical structure all the way down to the molecule, but I sadly don’t really have a good clean way of knowing which structures equal which property. Like lets say there are hexagons in the chemical structure these hexagons could be what produce the stick effect of the goop, or they could be what make the goops color orange.
This of course means that I need to do lots of experimentation. I yawn and look outside and find that it’s already midnight, guess experimentation is gonna have to wait. I go to bed expecting a normal day tomorrow
