Chapter 15: The Real Bosses
Ryoughai just displayed their new found strength that they gained in only one year. They truly are Martial Arts Prodigies.
The best of the best, it won’t surprise anyone if they all got accepted as Imperial Guards. They are the real monsters in this tournament.
Ever since everyone witnessed their strength, sweats and goosebumps passed by most of the representatives of the other clans. The only ones who remained calm were the ones that had members who attained the ranks in the top three.
Everyone else was sweating and acting weird when they saw the Ryoughai’s martial arts, all except Mitchiel.
Mitchiel was just curious about them.
“Whoa, now this is something you don’t see every day” thought the Emperor. “Whoever is teaching those disciples know what they are doing. That guy’s movement technique was fast, and if I didn’t suspect him to have split-second movements, I myself would not have noticed that fast-paced movement”
“That was really terrifying, wasn’t it Mitchiel?” asked Reige as he gulped.
“Yeah that was a little” replied Mitchiel.
“A little?” asked Reige. “You sure love to underrate people”
“No, what I am trying to say is, they are good, really good” replied Mitchiel. “But I heard stories that fast-paced movements come at a price”
“Hmm” replied Reige. “I sort of remember my grandpa saying something like that…. like a blood-like something”
“Yes, something has to be done to their blood” explains Mitchiel. “To attain a lot of speed, one has to change one’s mantra nature itself to that of a swift wind, which requires changing the flow of your blood”
“Isn’t that dangerous?” asked Reige.
“Yes, extremely so” replied Mitchiel. “They must have undergone some harsh training and taken pills to help them along”
“Damn Ryoughai!” said Reige with disdain. “Every year they grow exponentially stronger. Monsters”

“More like prodigies” thought Mitchiel. “This takes me back to the good old days when I was growing up… so similar”
--------
“Ok, ok, ladies and gentlemen, let the next round begin. Ryoughai Vs. Ertenous” stated Orlandis with that smile and happy voice again. “Ertenous has a member that is in the top five in last year’s YAMAC. Let’s see how well they play”
The crowd cheer but mostly for Ryoughai. Whatever the skills of Ertenous, the people in the crowd did not think they had it in them to win against this year’s Ryoughai.
The Ertenous group arrive to the stadium. Each got into position.
“So what will it be this time?” asked Orlandis. “Battle royal or Teamwork?”
“Battle Royal” stated a bored Gondocks.
“Ok, now we have it. A battle royal with Gondocks vs. Ertenous all by himself” said Orlandis in the microphone as he steps out of the stadium. “Let’s play”
Gondocks got into position.
The members in Ertenous prepared their weapons. They all had swords and did the signs for the eagle, cheetah, and tiger. They were all ready and prepared.
Gondocks took what look like one step and reappeared behind the Ertenous’ member that was in the middle. Before that member could have a chance to turn around, his throat was already slit. Blood gushed out.
Gondocks turn around to witness four attackers using their cheetah skills to its borderline limit and trying to attack him.
Everything moves in slow motion. Everything slows down.
The Ertenous’ members’ movements slow down, depicting each step they take one by one, step by step, and movement by movement. Gondocks’ eyes glow this bright yellow-reddish color and his eyes seem more hawk-like than before.
In front of his eyes everything slows down, nanoseconds into seconds, seconds into minutes. Gondocks simply walk towards the first attacker. He was now in front of him. The first attacker was still unaware of Gondocks presence in front of him.

With no ado, Gondocks slowly takes out his small knife that is inside the sheath, remove the sheath, and pierce his opponent hard in the stomach.
Everything is returned back to normal time flow. Before anyone realized it, Gondocks was already in front of his first attacker, not only that, he has already pierced the poor guy in the stomach. The guy would be lucky if he survives.
The three others in Ertenous team stopped their movements. They were now in shock and staring at Gondocks.
Gondocks looks at them the same way a person would look at a silly creature with neither interest nor disdain. Simply with no emotion whatsoever.
----------
The rest of the Ertenous team got together and decided to use a Formation Martial Arts Technique. They would use a skill that requires all three of them, that way, Gondocks won’t be able to harm them with that move he just used.
They activated the Defense Water-Gear Formation.
It is a skill that summons a water-gear at all the critical places in the human body, your head, your stomach, ankles, throat, arms, feet, etc. It gives you defense against fire and wind. And since it is a water defense, it also grants a small healing percentage in case an attack does manage to pierce through.
After activating that skill, one of the Ertenous members (the one that got fifth place in last year’s YAMAC) activated [Expert Claw Reach] and [Expert Claw Attack].
Those two Martial Arts Skills allows the person to expertly reach someone even if that person is a couple of distances away.
The [expert claw reach] can extend to great length and throughout the whole stadium!
The expert Claw Attack allows the person to expertly attack the opponent in a fast attack with low chances of getting dodge.
It is one of those almost un-dodge-able techniques since it is so fast that even if someone has [hawk eye’s time specs] where one is able to see the small movements in time, one would still be unable to see the Expert Claw Attack. Since it would still be blurry.
It is with that knowledge that Ertenous team decided to utilize not only this formation but also those two claw skills.
---------
They needed something that could protect them from Gondock’s advances and while protecting them, they needed something that could do serious damage to Gondocks. That’s where the [Expert Claw Attack] skill comes into play!
Relnandes (the one that got fifth place in last year’s YAMAC) was about to show to the whole colosseum why he got fifth place in last year’s YAMAC and why Gondocks got eighth place. Their level couldn’t be more different!!
And even if Ryoughai is rumored to be able to get super strong in only a year every year, can that equate to his talents?
Relnandes managed to get fifth place when he is only thirty-one years old.
Gondocks is already twenty-nine. And the best he can do is eighth place?
Relnandes was about to show to everyone what it means to be in the top five and what it means to be in the top eighth. The difference is only comparable to a dragon and a lion.
And Relnandes is always the dragon!!
One of the fiercest battles was about to commence! The battle of the real Bosses!
