Chapter 6: The battle’s End
Mitchiel continue to dodge and dodge.
Everyone watching held their breath. They could not believe what was happening.
It was the famous [Lightning Piercing Strike Attack] of the Gyphos Clan. It was such an honor to see it. It was a marvelous sight, until everyone remember who the attack was for.
It was for the loser of Ryoukai town, Mitchiel.
At first everyone thought, such a waste, if it was anyone else, it would have been magnificent, but since it’s for Mitchiel, the fight would be over before it even began. And they wouldn’t have the chance to witness the full strength of the piercing attack.
But they were wrong. They were completely wrong about everything. The fight wasn’t over before it began.
The fight continued and continued.
Mitchiel kept on dodging left and right, and kept on putting distance between him and Tymol, but even then, Tymol merely uses the cheetah’s speed. It was useless, but then Tymol could not hit or touch Mitchiel at all!
The fight was getting more and more intense as time went on. Tymol increased the skill to its borderline limit.
He no longer cared about what could happen to his body if he were to do a wrong move, he no longer cared for the side effects that could happen.
His honor was on the line. His reputation was threatened. He could not let himself be put to any humiliating acts especially by someone of no value.
With sweats falling as droplets from his forehead, he rushes forward in a one final attack strike at Mitchiel. This time, Tymol would unleash his full power.
--------------
Tymol’s older brother told him that the [Lightning Piercing Strike Attack] wasn’t simply a piercing strike attack.
It had another aspect to it.
Due to the clan’s secrecy, suspicions of spies, internal bloodline conflicts and so on and so forth, they never tell any outsider of the clan the secret of the [Lightning Piercing Strike Attack]. In fact, some pupils of the clan don’t even know about the other aspect of the skill at all.

To the common folk that do not practice Martial Arts, they would simply see the attack as a blue electrical energy that appears similar to a lightning coursing through the Artist’s body. It would disappear and reappear every split second, hence its name of lightning.
But that wasn’t all it does. It wasn’t there simply to show off as some special effect. When the Artist pierce an opponent, the lightning itself would enter the opponent’s body and wreak havoc inside.
That was what made the lightning so famous. Any opponent of the Gyphos Clan, once attack by the skill, would suffer severely and might not be able to walk again, or might need medicine immediately and some have even died from the attack.
But that wasn’t all there is to the lightning. It has the ability to do one more thing.
Any Martial Art Practitioner could tell that the skill was drawing a lot of power. It wasn’t simply gathering power to penetrate the opponent’s body and rupture his blood vessels, the skill was gathering a lot more power than that.
Any Martial Art Experts knew that there were any number of skills with a lot less power, that could still rupture the opponent’s blood vessels without gathering such a large amount of power.
Therefore, the [Lightning Piercing Strike Attack] that gather such a large quantity of power had another secret move. And that’s why the skill was famous among Martial Arts Practitioners.
The Gyphos clan doesn’t tell all its members about this, even though most already suspect the existence of another move in the skill. But the members the clan does tell, they specifically told them not to reveal the move, if they have to use it at all, in public or a tournament, and to only use the move in severe emergencies.

Tymol was going to ignore all the warnings the clan gave him. He no longer cared about the rules.
His pride, his reputation, and fame were in the line.
And even if he broke the rules, the clan wouldn’t be too harsh on him. He was one of their brightest pupil, not only that, he’s the second son of the clan’s chief’s brother. His uncle.
There was no way anything too harsh would happen to him. And with each and every worried having left his mind.
He unleashes the secret move.
----------
Tymol rushes forward to Mitchiel’s direction. Of course, Mitchiel, now officially recognized as an expert at dodging, dodges the attack coming from Tymol.
But of course that was Tymol’s plan all along. He knew Mitchiel would dodge it, just like he has been dodging each and every single strike he made so far.
But this time, it would be different. The strike he made just now was a mere distraction. The technique he wanted to use was different, and it requires only a short-distance from his opponent.
Tymol made his opponent move away from him, and right when his opponent is about to land in the ground, that’s when Tymol does it.
Tymol strikes the ground. It was completely unexpected. The lightning from Tymol’s body passes through the ground and travel right to Mitchiel’s landing spot.
Mitchiel was in midair and doesn’t have time to dodge.
The moment Mitchiel landed, the electric energy came out of the ground and stroked Mitchiel. Mitchiel shook and shook. The lightning passes through his entire body, and broke multiple blood vessels, tried to fried his brain but failed, and left him unconscious.
Tymol had over exerted himself. He not only used a technique he hadn’t practice yet but he was unaware of the side effects that came with the power. Had he known the side effects that came with activating the secret move for the first time, he would have at least hesitated, if not surrendered to Mitchiel.
Tymol fell to the cold dirty ground just like Mitchiel. His own technique went against him. He watched in fear as the same lightning that he used to strike Mitchiel came to strike him back as well.
The lightning in his body started to attack him and severely ruptured several of his blood vessels, tried to fried his brain, but failed. He fell to the ground, bloodied and unconscious.
The match ended with a tie. Neither sides won. Neither sides could defeat the other. They were evenly matched.
