《Supreme saint》Demonic Star Astral Essence

After he met with Anya, Doran went back to the outer court residence. It was a very large building with several rooms built in a row pattern. Doran had lived here ever since joining the academy with other outer court disciples who occupied the other rooms.
He had a solemn appearance as he glanced at a small calendar hung on the wall.
'Uh? The next ranking test is in a month! isn't time being too fast these days?' Doran couldn't help but question reality.
He had a lot of downs at the moment, not even a single ups. He had made a bet with Ian Wrighte concerning the next rankings, even when his odds of winning were very low. Doran tried his best to forget his terrible situation, but no matter how he tried, it still evaded his mind like a nightmare, making his heart ache up a bit.
He took out the spirit jade necklace that he had obtained from Anya, still holding it by the chain. Doran was a bit curious as to why he had experienced the same sensation that he felt at the strange tomb when he touched the spirit jade in the forest.
Spirit jade was a substance that could cause multiple reactions with spiritual energy. It could either enhance or repel spiritual energy, depending on how it's used. Doran suddenly remembered the beam of white light that had shot out of the black sword, and how it had caused his vision to change to the scene of the battlefield.
'Was that some sort of remnant soul?' Of course, that would be the only explanation as to why he reacted to the spirit jade.
He stared at the piece of spirit jade attached to the necklace for some time before touching it. Just then, he was shrouded by an immerse energy fluctuation, his vision distorted and he found himself in a different place.

Doran was surprised because he had anticipated returning to the scene of the battlefield, but now he found himself sitting crossed leg on a mountain peak. He could tell that this place wasn't the Jiangxi divine continent, because he could feel that the laws and principles were very much stronger. Doran had a bewildered expression, he could also feel that something was different about himself. He noticed some changes in his body, his short black hair had become snow-white and now reached down to his waist.
He was familiar with these features, he knew clearly that it was the Abyssal Sovereign and not himself, but he had somehow ended in the body of the Abyssal Sovereign! Come to think of it, why did he look like the Abyssal Sovereign? and now, he had ended up in his body? This further fueled his suspicion that he was a reincarnation.
Doran realized that this must have been a past memory because from his position, he could clearly see everything going on but he didn't have any control. The Abyssal sovereign was cultivating a technique that caused Doran's amazement to reach its peak.
His hands were rested on both laps in a crossed-legged position, there was a vortex of red light swirling around about his chest region, as he absorbed an unusual form of energy. A quick reminiscence came like a flash In Doran's mind, it was like he could suddenly remember a part of his lost memories.
[Demonic Star Astral Essence!]
'What is the Demonic Star Astral Essence?' As Doran thought of it, he was slowly integrated with the memories of the technique.
The Demonic Star Astral Essence was a secret technique used by the Abyssal Sovereign. It was a form of absorbing the essence energy of the demonic star, located in the distant nebula. From what Doran could see in the memories, this technique was a lost ancient technique created by the old demon gods and dated back to billions of years ago.

The Demonic Star Astral Essence had a major side effect, apart from providing a person with great power, it increased one infernal energy, and caused an intense blood lust. It could even result in one losing his mind to the demonic propensities if they didn't possess a strong will. The old demon gods of this strange world were very vicious and insanely powerful, this was as a result of practicing this technique.
Doran couldn't help but lament, the Demonic Star Astral Essence secret technique could have been tailor-made for him, but due to the adverse side effects, he didn't dare think of the possibilities of him practicing it. Doran had a look of uncertainty,
'Just how had the Abyssal Sovereign practiced this technique without being affected by the side effects?'
Just then, another portion of his memories opened up just like before.
[Sacred Heart!]
Sacred heart was a secret technique that the Abyssal sovereign had used when cultivating the Demonic Star Astral Essence. It was a special technique that helped relieve the mind from all forms of negative constraint and heart demons.
This discovery made Doran shudder with dread, it was because he was sure that there must have been something working behind the scenes to open up his memories. The first proof was that he had found himself on this mountain peak, and the memories relating to his problems with essence gathering had been opened, just when he needed it most.
'Couldn't be a coincidence right?' he thought. Doran found it too bizarre to be considered a mere coincidence, he was starting to get a clearer picture of the whole thing. He stared blankly with a solemn expression…
'I must have been the Abyssal Sovereign in my past life, then how did I end up as a trash in this life' he couldn't help but wonder.
Doran observed the whole procedure and soon, completely integrated it with the memory of the technique. Just then, his vision distorted once more and he woke up drenched in sweat. His body was in extreme pain, and his head ached badly.
'Argh! why does my head ache so bad, did it overdraw my soul force?'
Doran understood that this must have been as a result of the Spirit Jade overdrawing too much of his soul force. He sat down in a cross-legged position, circulating the secret technique he instantly entered a meditative state. Although his body wasn't in a good condition, that wouldn't be enough to hinder his determination, he was going to establish a connection to the demonic star!

Rise of the Realm (Dungeon Core)
Dungeons are probably amongst the strangest creatures in the world, creating vast labyrinths and wonders to explore. This is the story of one such dungeon as he makes his first shaky steps into the world, and all of the horror and majesty he will bring into the world. (This is my first fiction and I would appreciate any constructive criticism) Note: Litrpg elements start around chapter nine, and the story is a little slow at first. The World System
James Harbor was on his way home from a night shift when his world and his SUV was turned sideways, literally, by a giant beast. With a dark sense of humor, a fair bit of intelligence, and scorn for his fellow man dont expect our protaginist to be a sefless sacrificing hero out to save the world from itself. Instead join a man driven by his whims and given an unexpected headstart in the race for survival. ------------ This story is going to be refined slowly as I write new chapters, cleaning up grammar, typos, repeats, elements placed wrong, etc, I do my own proof-reading which is far from perfect so expect older chapters to be updated frequently with revisions. Release schedule will probably be at least 1 chapter a week.
