《Apathy At Gifted Academy》22. Chasing a Girl into the Sunset

The two boys blocked the door by standing in front of it after Sayuri left.
What was I going to do?
There wasn't really any good method of me getting through without ploughing through them but I still didn't want to do that. Doing that would likely cause more problems than it would solve.
I took the little keyring that the student council president gave me and shook it producing a slight jingling noise.
"You think you're going to distract us or something?"
Slowly I took a seat on the ground.
"Huh?"
"What are you doing."
The two boys looked at me bewildered as I sat on the floor.
This was going to be a long day.

Sayuri was making a mad dash down the stairs. Her first plan had been quickly exposed and now she was going onto her second plan.
She had been manipulating Trista for a long time, ever since she first came to the school. She used her like a tool to do her bidding. Her ultimate goal was to make Trista become something special to Oliver, so eventually, he would not be an invincible unbreakable wall. She would use Trista to create leverage.
Ultimately her plan would succeed.
Loud banging footsteps echoed through the stairway as she ran down as fast as she could. As she looked up, she noticed that she wasn't being chased by him as she'd assumed.
She eventually left the stairway and went to the reception area. She texted the boys who were guarding the room but neither of them replied to her message.
What was going on up there?
She began making her way to meet up with the person who was with Trista. Sayuri had actually heard Oliver tell Trista about the call don't text rule, but there was no way they were going to replicate Trista's voice so just texting Ollie using her phone was the safest method.

She made her way down the path until she met up with the third-ranked first-year student, Eris.
"Is this all part of your plan?" Eris asked.
"Yeah."
Eris was holding Trista's phone in her hand.
"So where's Trista?" Sayuri asked.
"I'd assume she'd just about found out that her phone is missing."
"We'd better get a move on then."
The two of them began making their way towards the mall.
Why aren't the boys replying to me?
Sayuri and Eris eventually made it into the mall. Sayuri took out a note and began making her way across to one of the stores.
On the way, they noticed that someone was following them.
"We better split up." Said Sayuri.
"They'll probably just follow you, though, I don't think I'm on their radar."
Sayuri looked down at her phone again, noticing her messages were being read but not replied to.
"It's ok, I can handle the rest of this alone. Go back up to the dorms and see what is happening."
The two of them split up and Sayuri continued into a clothing store.
She could still briefly see someone following her.
She passed the note to the cashier and began making her way into one of the change rooms. She peeked behind her and noticed that the person following her was a girl. She noticed that the other girl also passed the cashier a note.
She's part of the student council as well.
This was not what Sayuri had expected to occur but she was still perfectly calm.
Instead of hiding, she decided to just stand in the middle of the area, waiting for her to arrive. She noticed that the other girl was Maia.
"Hey, Maia."
Maia was shocked by the sudden greeting.

"Uh, hey."
"So what are you doing here."
She took her phone out and began texting something. At that moment, Sayuri decided to walk past and assimilate into the population of students hanging out in the mall.
She made her way through the mall, noticing that Maia had stopped following her.
For some reason, none of the three people she was texting responded to her.
What was going on up there?
Noticing that nothing was really happening, she took a seat on a little couch in the middle of the mall. Despite her goal being to not be caught by Oliver, she still wanted to get some action. After a little while, she walked over to one of the stores in the food court and bought a bucket of chips.
She slowly ate the chips by herself on a seat in the food court.
I feel kind of lonely.
She thought back to the first time she ever spoke to Oliver back at his old home. The memory made her smile a little bit.
She checked her phone again, no one had replied to her.
Ah, this is a little bit sad.
She had just about finished her bucket of chips, shaking the last few crumbs and tipping them into her mouth.
Eventually, her phone vibrated in her pocket.
Ooh.
It was Eris.
The message line was two words.
"He's gone."
As she read the message, she couldn't help but laugh. The subtle smirk on her face gradually became a wide delightful smile.
She replied.
"You can go home now."

Young master Damien's pet
"Who touched you?" he asked, his eyes brooding down at her and when she didn't answer, his voice thundered in the room, "WHO?" The butler who stood near the wall spoke shakily, "Sir it was Mr. Reverale," Damien's face turned sour, his jaw ticking in anger he turned his face to the side where the butler stood behind."Bring the man here.""N-now?" stuttered the butler. It was the time of night.Damien who hadn't broken his eyes contact with the girl in front of him pushed his hand against the wall which previously rested beside his beautiful girl's head. Turning his body, he first looked at his butler who had his head bowed. With great courage, the butler came to meet his master's eyes, "Do you have any other better time? Or should it be after I wring your neck?" Damien asked calmly tilting his head. Not a second later, the butler ran out of the room to return back with Mr. Reverale after twenty minutes. "Damien, are we having a late tea party?" Mr. Reverale came to greet but the master of the house had other plans. Spotting the knife that was stuck to the apple on the table, he reached for it to pull it out. Just as Mr. Reverale went to exchange a handshake with him, Damien took hold of his hand to place it on the table. In one swift movement as if he were chopping onions, he chopped the four fingers of the man off his hand making him yelp and cry in pain."No one touches what is mine. I am sure this will remind you the next time you even think about touching her," sighed Damien as if he were tired of telling people to keep their dirty hands off his belongings.
