Chapter 7: The Capital

After the incident with Odin back at ‘Lobster City’ we immediately flew to the capital because of all that happened it delayed our plans and we are now currently rushing to the capital. I informed Odin what happened to us before we met her and about the place that has the same structures in our world and she has the 0o0 face well we really didn’t have the time to discuss about that place *sigh* I really want to investigate that place but because of those fanatics I really don’t want to go back there anymore.

“By the way Garyx, you two changed your names should I call you Nyx and Amethyst now?” (Odin)

“You should, when we reached the capital and enrolled the academy but you can call me Garyx whenever were alone” (Garyx)

“Okay” (Odin)

“Onii-sama I see the capital” (Jade)

“Hahaha finally we reached the capital, Jade like always let’s go down at the border” (Garyx)

“Yes onii-sama” (Jade)

We flew down the sky and walk the rest to the capital then suddenly Odin told us a very shocking news.

“Do you guy’s plan on stealing the academy’s magic and sword techniques?” (Odin)

“Why do you say that?” (Garyx)

“Well because just like in the game if we touch a skill book that explains how the skill works we will learn that skill 100%” (Odin)

“Onii-sama and I never encountered it before so we didn’t know that we can do that” (Jade)

“If we can do that then we need to learn their most basic skills and can level ourselves to their level and not attract attention” (Garyx)

“Sure let’s do that” (Odin)

“Then let’s go find an inn first and rest we flew for a long time and Jade must be exhausted” (Garyx)

“Sounds good to me but when do you think we should enroll?” (Odin)

“Hahaha tomorrow of course” (Garyx)

“Hahaha we’re back at being a student huh?” (Odin)

“Well actually I want my sister to enjoy school life while she’s still a teenager” (Garyx)

“Do you still call yourself 17 years old when you are actually 20 years old?” (Odin)

“Fine you sis-con, I don’t want to talk to you anymore as I’m tired and I want Jade-chan to be mine and hug her in the bed without you interfering” (Odin)

“Fufufu~~ I’m not a stuffed toy you know onee-san though I’ll let you hug me time to time but you cannot hug me in the bed” (Jade)

“So now do you get it akaloli? In the first place I never interfered whenever you hug Jade” (Garyx)

“C’mon stop dilly dallying let’s go and look for an inn” (Garyx)

“Hey Jade, do you want to go shopping after we took our rest?” (Garyx)

“Uhm hey guys we have a situation here can you stop flirting?” (Odin)

“Hmm? Oh what's happening? Ooh you guys are all over this damn world huh” (Garyx)

“Fufufu~~ sometimes I forget that onee-sama is a girl” (Jade)

“*sigh* fine since there’s only two of them I’ll take the one in the left you take the right” (Garyx)

“No problem Mr. Inn keeper hahaha” (Odin)

“Really Odin you were so meek when you were lost but now your nature reverts to normal *sigh*” (Garyx)

“Please as our compensation to you even though it is not enough please use our rooms and food service free of charge, anything you want we’ll get it for you as our thanks” (Inn keeper)

“Un, thank you very much Mr. Inn keeper *smile*” (Jade)

“Excuse me can you tell us your names?” (???)

“Hmm? And who you might be?” (Odin)

“Oh I’m very sorry, I’m Viscount Mark nice to meet you” (Mark)

“Oh, a noble huh” (Garyx)

Hmm this noble can be categorized in being an ikemen, his quite the looker with his blonde short hair, blue eyes, white skin that looks like a girl, outfit that’s screaming ‘I’m a NOBLE!!!!’, and he seems young to be a viscount well that’s really none of my business.

“Yes, well then can you tell me your names?” (Mark)

“Hmm, very well I’m Nyx” (Garyx)

“I’m Amethyst” (Jade)

“Odin” (Odin)

“We’re all adventurers” (Garyx)

“Thank you for saving us if there’s something that you want I’ll be happy to do it for you all” (Mark)

Hmm even though his a viscount why is it that there is no guards following him? *sigh* not that I care let’s just use this to make our enrollment to the academy go easier, you all don’t know but if you want to study at the academy you should be a noble with a considerable power and if you’re a commoner you will have to take the strength test and written exam so this chance is a great thing this will be our shortcut to enrolling.

“I like a house!!” (Odin)

“Eh?” (Mark)

“OUCH! Hey why did you do that?” (Odin)

“You idiot shut up for a while will you?” (Garyx)

“Onee-san let onii-sama handle this and be quiet okay? *smile*” (Jade)

“Y-yiee!! O-okay I’ll shut up wuwu~~” (Odin)

“*sigh* so back to the main point” (Garyx)

“Un” (Mark)

“But first, let’s take a seat”

“O-okay” (Mark)

“*sigh* I’ll get straight to the point, we would like to use your connection to enter the academy” (Garyx)

“That will be easy but why go to academy when you’re already so strong?” (Mark)

“Well we want to learn more about this world and as you can see we’re nothing but commoners so our knowledge is very limited and even though we are strong to us knowledge is everything” (Garyx)

“Hahaha I like you Nyx and as a viscount of this country I can easily let you all enter the academy as my representatives” (Mark)

“Really? Hahaha that would be great!!” (Garyx)

“Very well hahaha I’ll go to the academy today to process your enrollment, here this is my insignia just show it to the guard at the main gate of the academy and they’ll let you enter, oh before I forgot you can go at the academy whenever you like” (Mark)

“Thank you very much hahaha” (Garyx)

“Uh no thank you very much for saving our lives, well then I shall now take my leave” (Mark)

“Un” (Garyx)

As Viscount Mark took his leave Odin approaches me.

“Hey Nyx it’s still early what should we do?” (Odin)

“Let’s go to the library or bookstore maybe they have the most basic skills and learn them, Jade stay here and rest okay?”(Garyx)

“Un!” (Jade)

“Mr. Inn keeper where is the nearest library and bookstore?” (Garyx)

“Ah- yes the library is just right at the next corner and next to it is the bookstore” (Inn keeper)

“Oh what convenience let’s go akaloli” (Garyx)

“Un” (Odin)

After walking for fifteen minutes Odin and I reached the library it has three floors and very sturdy looking building, now that I look it closely it seems that this world’s architecture is quite advanced. So as we entered it what welcomed us the smell of old books, Odin almost vomited and I don’t know why but to me this smell is heaven even in our old world I really liked books.

“BUWEEE!!” (Odin)

“Oy idiot akaloli don’t vomit, it’s disgusting!!” (Garyx)

“E-easy for you to s- BUWEE!!” (Odin)

“*sigh* fine don’t enter, go to the bookstore I’m sure you’ll be okay there right?” (Garyx)

“*sigh* Un” (Odin)

Now let’s see I’m all alone, no Odin no disturbance and if what she say is true I might just learn all the skill books in this library HAH HAH HAH oh and I might learn more something about this world in here.

“Uhm excuse me are the librarian?” (Garyx)

“Yes, how can I help you?” (Librarian)

“Well I’m looking for a book that might help me learn magic and sword techniques” (Garyx)

“Oh you can look for those books in the second floor and it’s in the ‘Skills’ section” (Librarian)

“Thank you” (Garyx)

“You’re welcome” (Librarian)

I looked for that ‘Skill’ section in the second floor but when I found that section the books in the shelf are few, YES very FEW!! *sigh* I can even count the books by my finger there’s six books all in all three for magic and 3 for sword techniques, oh well let’s try touching them. After I touched the books I immediately learned all the contents of the books which were all the most basic skills, as for the magic its three books contains three elements of wind, lightning and fire which I can infuse with my sword like the enchant skill Jade uses but this is the more weaker version of hers, oh and I can use simple air balls, lightning balls, and fire balls. As for the sword techniques well there’s no need for me to learn them because I know all of them it’s just the simple parrying, countering and attacking so really no need. Hmm I didn’t thought that this objective of ours can be solve easily tomorrow morning before we left for the academy I’ll let Jade learn all of this skills *sigh* I hope the bookstore Odin’s at has the adequate skill books for us to learn, I want to know all the elements but for the light and darkness skill books I really don’t need the because I already know the most basic attacks of those elements. Anyway I should go to the bookstore and check it with Odin.

“So akaloli, why are you here and not in the bookstore?” (Garyx)

“W-well” (Odin)

“Fine, I don’t want to hear your idiotic excuse” (Garyx)

“Gunununu” (Odin)

“*sigh* let’s just go back at the inn and rest” (Garyx)

“Hmph” (Odin)
