《True Essence》Forth time in the challenge

Gen was sleeping when suddenly he heard a voice calling him, "Gen ... Gen ...", "Hm?", "Gen ... da.", "Hello? Who is it?", "GEN! Wake up!", "Ahh!", Gen then sat up in bed and saw Dehji in front of him and said, "What's this Dehji!? You almost gave me a heart attack.", "You have twenty minutes.", "Twenty minutes? Like ... WHAT!", Gen then jumped out of bed and started packing up as fast as he could while talking to Dehji.
"Why did you wake me up just now? I can't do anything in twenty minutes.", "Come on Gen. I've been trying to wake you up for over an hour now. Until I saw you breathing, I thought you were dead. It seems that the four days in the desert have tired me more than I expected.", "Yeah. Do you think you can make it through the eight days?", "Yes, I have a plan", "Got it. Well, I'll wait for you at the front door of the challenge.", "Okay"
Dehji then left the room, and after a few minutes Gen also came out of there with a kinda small backpack, and went towards the kitchen. After a few minutes in the kitchen Gen came out of there and went towards the door and asked, "How long?", "Two minutes", "Okay, I'll be right back". He then went back into his room, and after a minute came back out with a package on his back and a change of clothes.
Seeing this Dehji asked, "Are you going to take your weapons inside? You've already spent a few days there, so you should know, but I'll remind you anyway. There are no animals of any kind in there.", "I know, I'm taking them because I'll need them for my plan. Well, it's time, let's go.", "Yes." Dehji then opened the door. Gen and he walked through it, Dehji then said, "Good luck Gen.", "Thanks.", and then Dehji went back through the door and closed it.
Being alone Gen thought, 'Well, let's start with the plan. First of all, I'd better get some rest. One night's sleep wasn't enough to recover from those four days,' Gen then pitched the tent, went inside, ate something, and went to sleep. After a day and a half had passed, Gen woke up and thought, 'Much better. Now I can start looking for the black spot. Gen then started walking in the same direction as always and after a few hours found the black spot again.
He then thought, 'Ok, time to start. Gen then took the package off his back and unwrapped Light and Scar, he then took Scar and tied the end of a rope to her, and the other end to his arm, he then got into a throwing position, and in his other hand he was holding Light. He then said, "Well, then let's ...," but in the middle of his speech, he stopped and got a empty look on his face, and suddenly, his eyes changed to a golden color, and just then he finished his sentence by saying, ".... go!"

Gen then closed his eyes and asked in his thoughts, 'How long can I have her back Eli?', 'One minute. And it won't be completely.', 'Okay, get ready to release her', 'It's all set, you just give the signal', 'Right.'. Gen then began to breathe, breathing out, 'Choooo!', and breathing in, 'Ssshhh!', and as he finished he looked towards the black dot, and thought, 'Now!' Just then, Gen felt a power course through his body and go towards Scar and light, he then threw Scar and said, 'Javelin!'
Scar flew towards the black dot at a frightening speed, she was much faster than the time Gen used her on the stone lion. She went further and further away from Gen, to the point where the rope connecting the two was about to become completely taut. Seeing this, Gen jumped up just as it finished stretching, and took advantage of Scar's momentum to carry his body through the air.
He then flew for a few seconds, and covered a great distance, until he began to fall. Scar had lost strength after carrying him, and when Gen saw this, he pulled her back to himself using the rope. He was about three meters high and still going forward, he then put his body horizontal, started to breathe, 'Choooo!', 'Ssshhh!', and with his left hand that was holding Light he struck the ground, getting up into the air again, only with his body spinning horizontal. He then took advantage of this rotation to throw Scar again, thus flying forward again.
Gen began to repeat this process several times, and through it he was advancing rapidly through the desert. But after a while when he was falling, he used light to stop his fall, striking the air before he hit the ground, and just after falling to the ground he stood up and thought, 'I've managed to cover about the same distance that I would cover in two days by walking during this minute.
He then looked at the black spot and saw that it seemed to be the same distance away as always, and then thought, 'I haven't made much progress, but that's to be expected. Last time it took me four days to get a little closer to it. Maybe tomorrow I'll see a difference,' Gen then put down his backpack and took out his tent. He then hurriedly set it up, climbed into it and thought as he ate quickly, 'I'd better rest, I've used up a lot of energy this minute. Probably by the time the minute is up I'll ...', but before he could finish his thought, his eyes shifted back and soon after, he fell into the bed he had made and blacked out.

Gen then woke up the next day, and as he got up, he saw a half-eaten piece of fruit on his side of the bed, and thought, 'I was so tired yesterday that I couldn't even finish eating,' so he picked it up, and finished eating it for breakfast. He then left the tent, and started to put his things back in his backpack. After putting everything away, he picked up his weapons again, and as he picked them up his eyes changed again.
Gen then thought, 'Well, let's see if I can get close to the point today,' he then began to repeat the same process as yesterday. After using most of the minute he had, Gen stopped, and looked toward the black dot. Looking at it, Gen thought, 'Nothing, hm. I seem to be going less way than I expected, but that's okay. By tomorrow I'm sure I'll have covered as much distance as I did in four days last time.
Gen then put up the tent again and after eating went to sleep. When he woke up the next day, Gen repeated the same process, and at the end of it he saw that, again, he had not approached the black spot. He then thought, 'Impossible. I've certainly walked further than last time, how can I not get closer? Why is this happening? But before he could finish thinking, the minute ran out, and he collapsed in the middle of the desert.
He then woke up the next day full of sand and very hungry. He then thought, 'I didn't even manage to pitch the tent. I have to be more careful, luckily nothing happened, but I could have even died in my sleep.', 'Growl', 'I'd better eat something, I'm starving', Gen then washed the sand off his body, washed his face with some water, and then went to eat.
After he finished eating and got up, he went to get his weapons, and immediately after getting them his eyes changed again, and he then repeated the process of the other days. Gen kept doing the same for the rest of the days he had in the desert, but he couldn't get close to the black spot. On the last day he finished the process a little earlier, and then began to think, 'Why can't I get close to the spot? Last time, in four days I got a little closer, but this time, I've walked enough for about ten days, and I can't get even a little closer. It seems like I really go back to the beggining every time I sleep. If that's the case, it's impossible for me to get there.
Gen then sat down on the ground, and looked again in the direction of the black dot. But as he looked at it, Gen was startled and said, "What! Why is it closer now? I didn't do anything. He's closer than last time, what's going on-", but before he could finish, he fell back onto the sand and fainted. After a few hours, a door opened next to Gen, and Dehji walked through it.
Dehji then looked around and said, "Gen, where are you, it's been eight days, let's go back ...", he then looked at the ground beside him and saw Gen lying in the sand, he then said, "Why are you sleeping in the sand Gen? Did you forget your tent? Hey, Gen!" Dehji started to shake Gen and even slap him in the face, but Gen didn't wake up. He then put Gen on his back and said, "It looks like you're exhausted. So I'll take it as obvious that you would decide to come back with me, but I'll tell you what. When you wake up, we're going to have to talk about this thing you've been doing, about how you've been exhausting yourself into a coma."
Dehji then went through the door with Gen, went toward his room, and when he arrived put him on the bed. Because Gen had slept on the desert floor he was full of sand, and when Dehji put him on the bed, he ended up spreading sand all over the bed. He then said, "Wow, that makes me so nervous! You really have to stop fainting like that, it makes me want to put you down so you don't make a mess of the bed. Well, there's nothing else to do now. Enjoy your last night here, Gen, I know you'll find another way to solve your problem."

8 87The Bronze Players of Recreation
The world of Creation has seen a recent explosion of what can only be called an adventurer’s culture over the past few decades. People who were once looked at as nothing more than lower class mercenaries rose to the ranks of heroes and legends as adventuring became recognized as an idealized lifestyle of overcoming hardship and finding triumph. With the establishment of a guild-based government system on the continent of Terramania, adventurers were soon legitimized and adventuring became a phenomenon universally accepted around the world. Redlette had retreated from this world to live on Earth for the remainder of her years, having been born and outcast by the gods of Creation. However, upon meeting a friend that she treasured dearly, she found herself longing for a return to her world—she wanted to experience it properly and go on adventures with someone whom she holds dear. Putting a plan into action, she meets with her friend, an awkward, nerdy boy by the username of Herring who she’d only known through years of playing online games with him, and invites him to go on this fantastic adventure with her. An adventure in another world had always been an impossible dream for Herring, but when he suddenly found himself with the opportunity to embark on one, he knew it wouldn’t be as simple as books and shows made it out to be. Redlette was notorious for rushing into things without thinking them through, and he was flighty and weak. In the games they played together, they rarely grasped victory. They were losers through and through, both in hobby and life. Despite this, though, he takes the leap and sets off with Redlette into the world of Creation. Together they only had one goal: to have fun and go on the adventure of their lives. This time, they’d establish a guild of their own and be free to take on whatever exploits their hearts desired. This is the story of the founding of their guild. Author’s Notes: -My writing style is largely based off of the absurd amount of light novels I’ve read and anime I’ve watched, so it may come off as cartoonish or exaggerative at times. If that isn’t your thing, I’d steer clear of this story.-Not an MMO story.-No numerical stats.-Relatively slow pacing.-Posts are between 2000-5000 words weekly after Chapter 1.
