June POV

I watched as Nanami played the game and sighed, they don't have anything fun to do here? I better ask her about it. Nanami got to the more difficult ending of the game and came out of the pod.

"That was great! what's it called again? Portal? I had such an interesting time in there!"

"Hey Nanami?"

"Yeah?"

"What do you do for fun usually?"

"Usually I cultivate or go hunting."

"Cultivate?"

"You don't know cultivation, wow Miss were you born under a rock or something? Cultivation is the basis of defending yourself and eventually gaining immortality! I'm currently Qi Gathering 2nd Realm." Nanami says proudly.

[First there's Body Refining, Next is Qi Gathering, Qi Consolidation, Core Formation, and Nascent Soul Stages, each Stage goes 1-9 Realms]

[Host doesn't really need to cultivate as the system will punish any troublemakers in the store.]

I see, but I should cultivate if I want to leave the store then.

"Hey Nanami, did you have any fun playing that?"

"Sure Miss June! But I've got to go home now, my father might be mad at me for staying too long."

"Of course Nanami, run along then"

And Nanami left the store. I sigh again bored with no one to talk to.

I feel a little happy with the new accesories icon, and take a look at the radio.

Currently My budget is 1 crystal 5 golds from what Nanami paid. I sigh again, it will take a while to get that many crystals.

Nanami POV

I walked home after going to the mysterious store, a bit happy. Playing that game was really fun! but my father is going to be a bit mad if he finds out I spent most of my allowance on such a place. I don't care I had more fun than cultivating anyway.

I get home and guess who was standing at the door. My father, he looked stern, and asked

"Where were you in the last 2 hours! It doesn't take that long to walk home, what were you doing!"

Sheepishly I tell him the truth

"I was playing a game at a store, I'm sorry dad but I had a really good time!"

"We'll see about that. Go to your room, you can only come out after cultivating for 5 hours for the rest of the month!"

I look down a bit sad because I was basically grounded for a month. Father usually isn't this strict he must be really mad when I talked back about the store.

"You better think about spending time in a no name store for 2 hours young lady."

"I will"

I slowly walked to my room. Sitting down to cultivate I close my eyes looking for World Qi to grasp and I found that it was a lot easier than before, each Qi fragment floated toward me almost subconsiously! I jump up in amazement before sitting back down to grasp as many fragments as I can.

3 hours later

The fragments started slowing down but it was still a lot faster than before! I was so excited I ran out of my room to tell my father, ignoring that I was suposed to be in my room for 5 hours.

"Father I am nearly going to breakthough!

"You are! How!"

"I think it was the store!"

"Not with the store again, all you did was waste time there, I dont think it did anything"

"Well I think It did! I'm nearly 3rd realm or Qi gathering stage!" Nanami thought about going to the store again tomorrow.

Nanami's father thought that his daughter was just fast and was too busy to find out for the time being.

June's POV

I decided to try cultivating with the systems help, I was supposed to meditate until I saw little flecks of world Qi around me and I needed to pull them into my core. I did it slowly but gradualliy picked up speed after a few hours. I opened my eyes but there was still no customers, I heard the system talk in the background.

[Ding! Host has gone up on realm in power, Host is now 6th realm Body refining stage.]

I smile mildly, it feels good to get stronger in this strange new world. Suddenly a customer walks through the door only to look at the prices and immediately leave.

I watch in bafflement, the customer was here for like 2 minutes then he left so suddenly, as suddenly as he came.

And so I decide to close up shop and go upstairs to sleep.
