Gracia was shocked at first but she slowly calmed down as Maria kept on narrating about their tribe's past histories….

She never believed that she would be so lucky to encounter a beast tribe that actually liked humans. It was not like humans were the strongest species.

In the world of Elthrod, there were many races including humans that were contending against each other to become the supreme ruler of the world, but till now no one had yet to get an edge over the others.

Gracia was the female human with mature features, she had long brown hair that was saved along with the other two humans by the grey wolves of the Jasper forest, from the clutches of the goblins.

After the three humans were brought to the grey wolf tribe, they had cleaned themselves with wet clothes, now they looked clean and fresh. Gracia was overall light brown skinned in colour.

Her including the other two had been raped for some time time by the goblins. Gracia even felt that she would be pregnant soon, but it didn't matter as her life was saved.

She could easily kill the baby in her womb, before it could fully mature with the help of a mage in the city.

As for attachments? Motherly instincts? What are they? Nothing!

This experience didn't give her any attachments, only hatred.

Gracia as an adventurer was a ruthless person, although just a newbie Bronze rank adventurer, She had experienced enough cruelty to become cold and rational in her behaviour and thinking.

After thinking about her past, she turned her head to look at her two companions that she had temporarily made before accepting the mission to collect some Jasper flowers, and also to collect some beasts parts along the way.

If luck was on their side, then they could have gotten a small elemental core from some weak magical beasts, but it seems luck wasn't on their side that day. The group of three humans were ambushed and captured by a group of goblins!

They might have been able to fight off a dozen goblins on their own but what could they do? When a hobgoblin charged along with those dozen goblins, and sneak attacked on them?

Nothing unexpected happened, they were captured and brought back to their den.

Being an adventurer was a risky decision, their lives could end at any moment of the day, every adventurer would at least know that much so these three weren't in much despair after being captured.

Out of the three human adventurers, Gracia was a sword wielder, 'Raul' the male human with short brown hair was a combat warrior, the last remaining young human female 'Elena' with long shining black hair was a mage healer who specialised in healing.

Raul was also light brown colour skinned, Elena was overall white, and paler as compared to both of her temporary adventuring companions.

If they had actually tried finding Jasper grasses on the outer region, they might have not encountered an evolved creature such as the hobgoblin, but alas! they didn't have any choice as the Jasper grasses that grow flowers had become sparse in the outer region.

Many adventurers come and go after collecting Jasper flowers from the outer area, most people wouldn't dare to go deep inside as there would be more danger inside.

Out of the four areas, most people explore the west or east area, no weak adventurer would risk going towards the south as it was the most dangerous area, filled with strong evolved creatures of different species.

This led to the scarcity of the Jasper flowers, and forced Gracia's team to take the risk and venture deep inside between the west and east area of the forest.

Anyway, now that they were saved the three mentally decided to stay here for a while, and make some connections with this friendly tribe of grey wolves. This would only be beneficial to them as low-rank adventurers.

Gracia and the two others were curious about 'Rak' the leader of this tribe. He was undoubtedly very strong, but exactly how strong? They didn't know, and didn't even have the guts to ask about this.

The three could only speculate that Rak was maybe a very strong fierce ranked beast.

….

It has been three days since Ben and the trio started travelling towards the south. They had not hunted any wild beasts along the way because they were travelling and wanted to conserve their energy until they reached the south area….but while walking, some thought struck Ben.

At a relatively plain area of grasses, a terrific fight was going on.

The fight was between a goblin and a blue coloured wolf. Job was currently fighting the wolf!

Ben and the other two were hiding somewhere close looking out for other wild beasts approaching, and disturbing her while she was hunting.

You must be wondering why 'Job' was fighting alone against a magical beast like an ice wolf? Or frost wolf? Bob informed Ben that the blue coloured wolves with ice elemental powers were called frost wolves by them.

Anyway, back to the topic. Ben heard from Bob that the south area of the Jasper forest was very dangerous, filled with terrifying beasts all over the place.

This made him a bit nervous about going there, he decided to get some more strength, and also let his subordinates gain some strength before going there.

Otherwise if they went there with their current strength level, then maybe Ben would be able to take care of himself with the system, but his subordinates would definitely die. After all, he wasn't as strong as the goblins thought of him.

They only saw him coming out of a dark portal, and thought that he was very strong because they had never seen any beast do that before.

Therefore, Ben wanted these goblins to get a bit stronger so that they could protect themselves, and even travel with him.

He started searching for some prey that his subordinates could fight with, and voila! He found a slightly injured lone frost wolf going in a certain direction.

It seems like this wolf had just fought with some strong beast but the opponent turned out to be terrifyingly strong. The opponent killed all of his hunting members, and he was the only one that luckily survived.

Ben speculated.

He wasn't wrong though, as the speculation was very close to what actually happened.

Now, back to the fighting…

The frost wolf growled a bit attempting to slip away, but Ben moved forward and blocked his escape road. The other two goblins also blocked the other paths with sharp weapons in their hands. Their weapon was just a long, thick stick but a sharp jackal tooth was tied up to the upper part of the stick. This made the wooden stick a bit threatening to the wolf.

The wolf hesitated, he knew that he was going to die so what to do now? Seeing that he was cornered, and forced to fight with a goblin the frost wolf became angry! He lost his mind and went berserk.

Suddenly!

"Why are you so angry?🎵 be calm...let's be friends🎵"

Grwwww!! Grwww! Grw gr…..

After hearing the words of his opponent goblin, the wolf surprisingly started to calm down, and went into a trance.

No!

The wolf frantically shook his head to get out of this trance-like state, but it was too late for him as Job was already standing close to him.

Pchik!

Awoo! whimper! Whisper!

Job went close enough before stabbing the neck part of the frost wolf with her sharp wooden weapon.

She used her body's strength to forcefully push down the wolf, and started twisting the weapon to quickly kill her opponent!

After being acknowledged by the system, her power stat boosted by a bit and reached 25 from 20. With her superior strength, along with the pain and exhaustion being felt by the wolf, Job was easily able to push him down, and suffocate him.

Whimper! Whimper whim…

The wolf kept whimpering until his voice got fainter….and fainter….before the wolf completely stopped moving...It had died!.

Job didn't even feel exhausted after the fight, surprisingly it was too easy for her to kill the wolf!

This experience was the first time ever for Job…...she could still feel the nervous beating of her heart, and the weakness that she was feeling right now proved that she was very nervous to fight with a beast that she was used to being very afraid of before!

She could only do so with the amazing power given to her by her boss!

Job didn't know why but after killing the frost wolf, she was feeling some kind of heat inside of her and even wondered whether she had somehow grown stronger?

'Maybe I am hallucinating…' She shook her head to get rid of these confusing thoughts.

Bob and Pop were shockingly staring at her. They were amazed by her power.

'She just sang something and was able to kill that wolf? That is too strong of a power!'

Pop was starting to feel a bit jealous but he quickly got rid of those thoughts, and closed his eyes to stay silent.

Being with three intelligent beings made Pop's own consciousness a bit stronger and sharper. He was slowly being able to speak their goblin language properly.

Today's experience made Job even more grateful towards Ben, and she became even more devoted in following him.

'With his help I can definitely become even stronger. After all, he even has plans to conquer this forest...if we follow him now then we would be his strongest and closest subordinates in the future!....no matter what happens, he is the only hope for me to become stronger right now...I can't betray him no matter what!'

After thinking of this, she turned her body towards Ben and bowed down silently.

Ben stared at Job and opened his mouth "You can get up...for now...rest for a while...we will keep hunting till you guys get strong enough to at least protect yourselves."

After saying this, he turned his body and left for somewhere.

"Don't worry about me, I will be back in a while."

"Yes boss!" Shouted the three, they kept staring at Ben before his figure disappeared from their view.
