The naive and the wicked
"You will pay for the lives you took." Keiichi's cold gaze concealed an enormous amount of anger. He had encountered many cities being attacked by little demons while on his way here. He blamed himself for not being able to save everyone. But he managed to keep the cities from being destroyed, and few people died.
'But I arrived too late.'
He failed to save the people of this city. Millions of dead. Millions of innocent lives taken.
"W-Who are you?!" the girl asked while looking at Keiichi.
"Huh? Looks like we've met again." Keiichi replied.
"...Again?" The girl was confused.
"Miss, I think he's-" As the woman was about to talk about Keiichi's identity, a burst of energy happened in the center of town.
The crimson orb was emitting a blinding glow.
"This thing…I have to destroy it." Keiichi said as he watched the orb. "Back off. I'll take care of it."
Keiichi's fingers were covered in flames.
"᳀Looks like I found a troublesome insect."
"!!!"
"...What did you say?" Keiichi felt he was going crazy listening to the demon.
'Wait, I gained the ability to understand any language.'
The demon was also surprised to see that Keiichi understood him.
"᳀How do you understand the demonic language of the abyss, child?"
"It doesn't matter. You'll pay for killing so many people!" Keiichi yelled.
"᳀Hoh? Are you worried about these dead bugs? This is strange. I sense something evil coming from you, child. Your nature is as bad as mine." The demon said with a smile.
"What? I don't know what you're talking about. I'm not like you!"
"...Hahahahahaha!" The demon began to laugh crazily.
Keiichi frowned.
'Something evil…inside me? That's it…'
"Hey! Do you understand this thing's language?!" The girl suddenly grabbed Keiichi's arm.
"Why the hell are you still here? Didn't I tell you to leave?" He looked at the girl strangely.
"You don't boss me around!"
…
"Sorry my Miss, but we can't leave." The woman said as she approached. "Why do you understand this monster's language?"
"It's an ability of mine. I understand any language. Well, I don't have time for questions. Back off!" Keiichi pushed the two of them away and darted towards the crimson sphere.
The demon quickly tried to stop Keiichi. His arms turned into blades that tried to cut him.
Keiichi covered his fists with mana and threw a punch that blew up the demon's body. Of course, he regenerated soon after.
The demon realized that it had no chance in melee combat, so he decided use ranged combat. However, his priority was to prevent Keiichi from destroying the Crimson Orb.
The little demons around the city started to gather around Keiichi as he felt a sense of danger. Their numbers added up to thousands.

'Why is the difference between them so big?' Keiichi thought as he saw the little demons.
The little demons are much weaker than the blood demon.
'Wait- I almost forgot about that. Magic eyes!'
◥ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◆ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◤

-
Additional Info: Imp are creatures of the abyss, belonging to the lowest tier
Description: Goblins from an alternate universe?
◥ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◆ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◤
'So that's why, huh. They do not belong to the same species.' Despite having fought Imps who possess power equivalent to an average cultivator, Keiichi still found them very weak. Their intellectual capacity was also below average.
He decided ignore the system joke about these imps being similar to goblins from an RPG. Despite their appearance, they have some similarities. Imps have pointed ears, a small body, long horns on their foreheads, and black wings on their backs.
"Now..."
The thousands of imps rushed towards Keiichi with bloodlust in their eyes.
-
"We need to help you." The girl said as she prepared to help Keiichi.
"Miss, wait. We'll get in the way. We'd better stay here." The woman advised.
"But-"
The girl tried to retort, but she knew it would only be a burden. The demon seems to have gotten serious, and his power has increased. They wouldn't stand a chance.
For the first time, the girl felt a sense of impotence.
-
*BOOMM!* *BOOMMM!* *BOOMMM!*
As the imps attacked Keiichi, the demon tried to kill him using energy beams, but he dodged all the attacks.
"Disappear!" Keiichi concentrated his mana and created a giant flame blade that wiped out thousands of Imps. Seizing the opportunity, he decided to use his magic eyes on the demon.
'Magic eyes!'
◥ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◆ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◤

–Manipulation of energy (mana)
–Body control
–Adaptability: Your body can adapt to different situations
–Blood manipulation
–Bloodthirsty Evolution (Species Ability): Bloodthirsty can increase their power by consuming blood. The increase depends on the purity, quantity, and quality of the blood.
-
Description: A boss? Be careful, this guy could destroy your planet in the future.
◥ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◆ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ◤
Keiichi didn't expect something as crazy as this. He felt that this demon called Virzarod could become a bigger problem than Basmakal. Also, his ability to manipulate blood was very dangerous.
'It seems that he can only manipulate his own blood and that of normal people.' Keiichi thought.
Cultivators possess the spiritual energy that protects their bodies. Virzarod could only use his blood manipulation on himself and people much weaker than he is.
'The species ability explains how he became so strong in such a short period of time. So he already claimed many victims before he attacked these cities.'

Of course, he was a little confused reading the description. Is the system serious or not?
"᳀You…" Virzarod felt as if his existence was being read.
'᳀A precognition ability? Or perhaps clairvoyance?'
"Tsk! How troublesome." Keiichi made a fireball using Hell flame in his palm. The demon instantly backed away.
"Are you afraid of that?" Keiichi asked with a smile.
"᳀That flame…are you a descendant of the infernals?!" the demon asked. His body was shaking.
'᳀Impossible, he is that human I met earlier!'
Hell flame conveyed a sense of familiarity and discomfort to Virzarod. He didn't know what that flame was, but he'd felt this same sensation before, a long, long time ago. When Keiichi first hit him with that flame, he felt he would die. He could regenerate by a drop of blood, so how could he feel a sense of death?
Virzarod was lucky to have left a small piece of his body near the ritual, or else Keiichi would have eliminated him at that moment.
'᳀I felt that that flame could reach my soul, but the boy doesn't know how to use it. Luck.'
In fact, Keiichi couldn't use 1% of Hell Flame's maximum potential, or else he could have erased Virzarod with a single touch.
"What the hell are you talking about? Infernals? Abyss? I have no idea what that is."
"᳀It's impossible for you to use this flame as a normal human. I've traveled many worlds, but I've never seen a human as strange as you."
"Tsk! Whatever. I'll kill you today!"
Virzarod focused his energy on his finger and fired a beam stronger than the previous one, but Keiichi just created a mana shield and blocked the beam smoothly, preventing the city from taking damage.
Seeing that he has failed, he created Crimson Spears and threw them at Keiichi. At the same time, a few imps appeared and struck him in the back.
"That won't work on me." Keiichi incinerated all the Imps and stopped the spears with his hands.
"᳀Useless!" He said as he watched the Imps die.
Keiichi shot towards the demon and pierced its body with fire arrows. The demon could barely react to the attacks. His body began to burn as he screamed in pain.
"Tell me, how did you get in this world?!" Keiichi doused the flames and held the demon by the throat.
"᳀You should ask that of your compatriots who have opened a rift in the abyss." The demon responded with a smile.
"What?! How did they do it?"
"᳀Probably with an artifact?"
…
"Well, you can die now." Keiichi covered his hand with Hell flame and was ready to kill Virzarod, but...
"HAHAHAHAHA." Virzarod began to laugh crazily.
"What's the fun? Isn't death scary?" Keiichi asked with a doubtful expression.
"᳀You are powerful, boy. Too bad you're too naive."
The city suddenly began to glow. A magic circle covered the entire city.
"What did you do?!" Keiichi grabbed the demon's neck with a wary expression.
"᳀Hahahahaha. This is a magic matrix. If you kill me, the matrix activates automatically, and the city explodes! Can you hear those screams? Screams of sadness, pain, despair." Virzarod said with a smile.
Keiichi focused his vision on the city and could see that there were still survivors. Virzarod did not intend to eliminate every human. After all, he could use them for negotiations if something went wrong with his plan.
"Bastard!" Keiichi didn't expect to fall into a trap. He didn't know much about magical matrices, so trying to destroy it is a bad decision.
"᳀Ops, forgive me. I ended up starting a countdown by accident." Virzarod said after a snap of his fingers.
"What-"
The matrix began to glow even brighter.
'Are you about to release energy?!'
"᳀You have 5 seconds, child."
Keiichi ran towards the survivors. Of course, he covered Virzarod in a dome made of Hell Flame to keep him from escaping.
'᳀What a scary child.' Virzarod thought as he looked at the Hell Flame. The last of his thoughts was to touch the flame. That would be suicide.
'᳀You underestimated me, child.'
Virzarod used his blood manipulation to create a clone out of the dome. After that he passed his consciousness into the clone's body.
-
"What-" The girl looked at Virzarod as he appeared near the crimson orb. There was only one thought in his mind: Stop him.
*BOOMM!*
The girl ran towards the demon.
"Ms!"
-
"Hahahaha!" Virzarod took the crimson orb which he had shrunk in size and now looked like a fruit. Without hesitation, he swallowed it.
The burning sensation. The feeling of power. His body grew increased in size, and his energy expanded substantially.
'᳀Despite the joint essence of millions of these insects, I still haven't managed to evolve, huh.'
Virzarod suddenly felt a presence at his back. Without looking back, he dodged the blow.
'᳀So it's this girl. She has a special blood essence, but I don't have time for that.'
Virzarod emitted a pressure that brought the girl to her knees.
"᳀You should have run away while you could." Virzarod created a spear of blood in his hand.
"... How-" The girl tried to get up, but couldn't move an inch of her body.
"᳀Die." Virzarod threw the spear towards the girl's head.
"Ms!!!"
*Slash!*
…
"!!!"
The girl looked wide-eyed at the person who had saved her life. The person who has been by her side since she was a child. The person who was your companion, friend and most of all… a mother. Now, that person had a spear stuck in her chest.
"AZUMI!!!"
*BOOOMMMM!*

A Superior Being Will Always Rise ... Even If They're A Goblin
Jellal is a man who's been reincarnated as lowly goblin. While an average person may fall into despair upon being reborn as a goblin, a superior being (self titled) like Jellal's rise to greatness could never be stopped by something so trivial.

Within this world, he will struggle to overcome both past trauma and future hardships as a Pathfinder Candidate, even as "players" start to overrun this new world with their immortal avatars.
