Desperate situation
*BOOOMMMM!*
The demon was thrown hundreds of meters and crashed into many buildings.
"Ms-"
The demon got up and ran towards the girl, punching her. The girl blocked the blow, but the impact sent her crashing into nearby buildings.
"Ms!" The woman tried to go towards her but was stopped by the demon.
"Tsk!"
Seeing that she would have to fight, she looked to the elders for help, but they seemed to be running low on energy.
"Can you evacuate the rest of the people?" She asked the elders.
"Certainly." The elders used the rest of their energy to fly in separate directions to try to find survivors. The woman was surprised to see the demon's carefree expression.
"What arrogance." She covered her body with spirit energy and prepared for battle.
-
"Miss, it's urgent! More cities are under attack!
The girl rose from the rubble as she heard a voice coming from the communication artifact.
"What?! How is that possible?! The creature-"
"Miss, there are a lot of them! Strange creatures. Strange things. They're everywhere! We won't be able to deal with- *Slash!*"
The man's voice was interrupted by the sound of the shredded flesh. An agonizing silence invades the room. Sweat flowed on her forehead while her body trembled.
"This can't be happening…"
She thought there was only one city under attack, and maybe they could handle the situation, but fate is cruel. Several cities are under attack. There is only one Sect in the country with power comparable to the Blue Dragon Sect, and the others are too weak to deal with this threat.
The girl took a red scroll from her storage ring and tore it apart.
"Dad, you better show up soon." She muttered to herself as she walked toward the demon.
-
*BOOMM!* *BOOMM!*
The demon and the woman began their exchange of blows. The Crimson energy clashes with fluorescent blue.
'Strong…' She had never fought someone who could cause such a sense of danger as this demon. The feeling of death that could come anytime.

*Slash!* *Ding!*
The demon turned his arm into a blade and slashed at her. She parried the blow using her sword.
'Can he mold his body?!' She bathed her sword with spirit energy and tried to cut off the demon's head, but the demon dodged the attack and retaliated with a string of blows aimed at her vital points.
'I can't prolong this!' She thought as she used her sword to block the attacks.
The demon could shape her body, making it unpredictable. She didn't want to prolong the fight and decided to try a submission.
"TERMINUS!"
Spirit energy raged around her body. His speed increased a lot, leaving the demon surprised.
*BAM!*
Her palm hit the demon's chest and the concentrated spirit energy opened a hole in her chest.
'Ended?'
She thought she had won but was shocked to see the demon's body fully regenerate.
"What-"
She tried to quickly move away, but the demon trapped her in a sphere of crimson energy.
"Arrghh!!"
A tearing pain coursed through her entire body, making her scream. She felt like her body was going to explode at any moment. Her spirit energy wasn't enough to drive out the crimson energy.
"Hahahaha." The demon laughed at the sight of her writhing in pain.
…
'Ms…'
*BOOMM!*
A sonic boom echoed as the girl appeared behind the demon with a sword in her hand.
"Die!!" The girl covered her sword with blue flames and split the demon in half.
*BOOMMM!*
The explosion of blue flames engulfed the demon's body.
"Miss, be careful. He has regenerative abilities." After being released, she went to the girl's side.
"Are you hurt? Can you fight?" the girl asked with a worried expression.
"Don't worry…I'm fine." She responded with a heavy breath.
Half of the demon's body was completely charred, but he managed to regenerate again in a few seconds. However, this time his expression was a little more serious.

"His regenerative ability slowed down? He was able to regenerate from my blow almost instantly."
'Maybe it's the flames?'
-
While the elders were rescuing some wounded, something strange happened.
*Slash!*
The elder looked at his chest, which had been pierced. All he could do was stare in horror at the being in front of him. The smile on the little demon's face blossomed at the sight of the dying elder.
'Shit! We have fallen into a trap…'
-
"What is that?!" The girl looked at the sphere with a confused expression. She had ignored that sphere at first, but it seems she made a bad decision.
The demon grinned at the sight of all the blood pooling, but the next moment his expression froze. He felt his minions being killed at breakneck speed in other cities.
Yes, he had created little demons to collect blood essence in other cities. He had felt many being killed before, but he thought it was the Cultivators. However, now they were being killed at an even more worrying rate.
One, two, three, four cities. Gradually all his minions were being killed one by one. Not knowing what was happening, he decided to collect the blood essence and escape before his plan went awry.
The Crimson Sphere in the center of the city had the function of collecting and refining the blood of all dead humans.
"Looks like you're in trouble, huh." The girl smiled at the worried expression on the demon's face. She had also received a report that some "cultivator" had appeared and resolved the situation in the other cities.
'Probably the father.' She thought. 'The situation is getting back under control'
Despite not perfectly understanding human language, the demon could understand the gestures perfectly, so he noticed the mockery in the girl's speech.
"Ms!"
Sensing the danger, the woman stepped in front of the girl to block the energy beam.
*BOOOMMM!*
The girl tried to help her but felt a sense of danger coming from her back.
*Ding!*
Using her sword, she blocked the crimson stakes. She then saw the little demons coming toward her.
Suddenly, three elders appeared. They were the only ones who managed to escape the trap.
"Miss, looks like this demon has minions. We'd better go." One of the elders said.
"But-"
*BOOMMM!*
The girl tried to object, but the crimson energy beam grew stronger.
"...Miss, I can't take it any longer – you need to go!" The woman screamed as she felt she couldn't stop the beam any longer. The beam will destroy the entire city if they fail to stop it, claiming the lives of so many innocents.
"I will not abandon you!" The girl destroyed the little demons and joined the woman.
'Ms…'
The elders showed a conflicted expression. Should they help or not? They are the elders of the Blue Dragon Sect, but of course, their lives are more important than a position.
'Tsk! Cowards.' The girl thought as she saw the elders running away.
The demon dramatically increased the beam's power as it sensed a powerful presence approaching the city.
'We're going to die here, huh.' The girl thought as she felt the crimson beam touch her skin. 'I wish I had done more…'
Her thoughts began to wander through crazy but incredible possibilities.
"Arrgh!" Feeling her skin being torn apart, she closed her eyes and prepared to die, but…
"Looks like I arrived too late."
A male voice came, and the girl could no longer feel the pain of the beam in her body. She opened her eyes and saw a boy in front of her. With just one of his fingers, he made the crimson beam disappear.
"You will pay for the lives you took."

8 252Horizon
Emiluna is about to turn 16 and gain access to her first two classes. Living in a small village in the middle of nowhere, she always wanted to become a Hunter. Having learned a bit under her parents, a miller and a seamstress, she was sure she could never pick a class that meant staying inside all day. But being a Hunter is more than just a class. It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
8 177Tironia
Reincarnated on the world of Tironia, I find myself naked and alone. Apart from the fact that I've been linked with a less than helpful companion, through my own doing no less. All I want is a kick-ass name and some super-sweet magic. "Is that too much to ask for?" Apparently so. All I got, was a schizophrenic sidekick and a set of bad jokes. "Is it time to start shitting my pants yet?" Note: If you enjoy my first novel, please leave a rating or a comment. Constructive criticism is also appreciated. As of now Tironia is complete. I need to edit the chapters however as there are many, many mistakes. Once that's complete, I will begin work on Erins next adventure: Dungeon Igo. Current Chapter Rewritten: 1
8 96Exalted Toxin Lord
Life on Lang Du continent has never been simple. In a place where resources are scarce, competition makes monsters out of man. In such a place, Hua Yan begins his journey. As a youth with little to his name, he has nothing to lose but much to gain. This is the story of his battle against fate.
8 149Incant - A Wizard in Cienmiedos (Short Story)
The town of Cienmiedos requests assistance from the AWW. A level three Incant is promptly dispatched. The horror she finds in this podunk town might just be beyond her pay grade. This short story is complete. Set in the Incant world with other stories in this setting likely coming soon. Same Book Banner will be used for the short stories.
8 184Wandering Dungeon
Garrett finds himself reborn as a small crystal, a dungeon core. Why does he exist? How did he get here? His dungeon guide will have to work extra hard to make him a great dungeon, but how is Garrett suppose to become a great dungeon if he can't even create monsters? This story might sound like a standard dungeon core story and might be a little slow or awkwardly paced sometimes, (This is my first story that I'm seriously writing) but I promise it is a dungeon story unlike any others. Any and all comments and reviews are welcome. They will help me learn and become a better writer so I can provide a better and more well written story for you and others to enjoy.
