The theft of the Heart of Fire | part 1
Upon approaching the planet's surface, Sakura and Keiichi concealed their presence as much as they could. They had already made preparations in advance, also including buying the most useful items they could find for this quest. Among the useful items they found, the ring of invisibility was one of the best options.
The invisibility ring v1 could put them in danger, so they bought an upgraded one for 1000 points.
【Ring of Invisibility V2】
Makes the wearer invisible for 10 minutes and blends their presence with their surroundings, becoming "undetectable".
This ring could make a person "nearly undetectable". Of course, beings with high perceptions can circumvent this. However, they thought that this ring would be useful enough for this mission.
They were facing a situation where a mistake can doom them, so they prepared as much as they could.
Keichi: 'We have to be careful, anyway.'
Yato had emphasized that they would die if they found the Kraligian King, so they were very cautious about that.
Sakura: 'We're coming to the surface.'
Keiichi: 'Is this planet habitable?'
Keiichi was a little curious. Is there another intelligent race inhabiting this planet?
Sakura: 'We'll see.'
Sakura was also curious.
-
Upon landing on the planet's surface, they were surprised.
Keiichi: 'Man, I feel like I'm in a science fiction movie.'
Keiichi never imagined being in a place like this. It felt like everything he was experiencing was a delusion in his head or something. Sakura also felt the same way, but she already had these "delusions" before even arriving on this planet.

Awei was a planet composed mostly of rock and sand, like a big desert. The ground was orange, with some significant reliefs.
The planet's atmosphere was completely different from Keiichi and Sakura's home planet. The thermal sensation was the most visible difference.

Sakura: 'This place is too hot.'
She estimated the ambient temperature to be about 60 degrees Celsius, A pretty high value for her, who was used to an ambient temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.
Keiichi also felt the sudden change, as he was used to an average ambient temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.
Keiichi: 'It's hot, but that's the least of our problems.'
The temperature was the least of their problems. Their bodies could easily withstand a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius; however, the lack of oxygen was tricky.
Sakura: 'This planet doesn't have the amount necessary for a human being to live on.'
On Awei, a human would die due to low oxygen in the atmosphere; However, this does not mean that there cannot be living here.
Keiichi: 'How much oxygen do we have?'
Sakura: 'Enough for one day and a few hours.'
They had bought enough oxygen tubes to get through the rest of the mission. They can also survive a while even with the planet's low oxygen.
Keiichi: 'We're out of time, let's speed things up.'
-
Keiichi: 'Sakura, check this out!'
Keiichi was running through the barren ground until he ended up finding something surprising. Sakura approached him with a doubtful expression.
Sakura: 'What happened?'
Keiichi: 'See, isn't that water?!'
He pointed to a small river.
Sakura: 'Heavens, that really is water!'
Sakura approached the river. By touching the blue liquid, she confirmed that it was indeed water.
'Is it possible that there is life here?'
Of course, she wasn't including the Kraligians, as they aren't from this planet and just here to get the heart of fire.
*Bizarre sound!*
Keiichi: 'Sakura!'
Keiichi quickly walked away from the river, with a wary expression. Sakura also did the same.

Sakura: 'What was that?'
They heard a bizarre sound coming from somewhere.
'Shit! Don't tell me... a Kraligian?' Keiichi prepared to use the invisibility ring or attempt a knockout depending on the situation. Being discovered now would cause a big problem.
They looked across the river, and a bizarre creature was coming towards them. It wasn't a Kraligian.
Sakura: 'I think you're right, but this way of life isn't the most pleasant.'
Sakura looked at the creature that looks like a cross between a spider and a praying mantis. She was hoping to find something resembling kittens but ended up finding a disgusting creature.
Keiichi: 'Don't seem to have any intelligence.'
Keiichi launched a fireball at the monster.
*BOOMM!*
He thought he had eliminated the monster, but he was wrong. The monster came out intact, uninjured.
Keiichi hadn't struggled when he'd released that fireball; however, it is surprising that that monster survived his attack.
'That fireball could blow up an entire building, you know.' He thought.
Sakura: 'They must be very adapted to the heat.'
She sent water arrows that pierced the monster's body, killing it.
She was right, this monster was already accustomed to living in high temperatures, so the fire element wasn't very effective against it.
Keiichi: 'Well, I hope I don't run into any more of these along the way.'
Sakura: 'Let's go, I can already see their ship.'
She looked at the giant ship in the sky with a grave expression. She never thought of fighting aliens... or rather, she never thought that one day she would fight real aliens.
Keiichi: 'I see.'
-
"Collect everything you can, we'll go home tomorrow." A Kraligian in silver armor yelled at the others. This Kraligian seemed to be the commander of this mission.
The other Kraligians were transporting boxes of materials they found on this planet. These materials could have future uses, so they decided to take them.
*Roar!*
The Kraligians emitted a roar of joy at the thought that they had completed the quest.

Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.
