unknown enemy
A bloodthirsty presence began to emerge in the room. The circle of blood glowed red.
"Hahahaha, here is my offering. Take it." Sect members were confused by their leader's words, however, their doubts were answered in the next moment. The blood of Sect members began to pour out of their bodies. This scene could baffle anyone.
"Leader… What are you doing?! We would…" The 100+ people around the circle started to convulse. Blood began to be sucked from their bodies.
The members of the Sect fell dead to the ground, resentment in their eyes. The old man just smiled.
"Now it's your turn." The masked man was about to throw Toki Sakata into the blood circle, however...
*BAM!*
"Ahhh!"
Keiichi landed a blow to the masked man's chest, knocking him tens of meters.
"You come with me." He grabbed Toki Sakata and ran away.
"Who the hell are you?!"
"Don't ask questions."
*BOOMM!*
An explosion of energy happened inside the room. The blood of the dead people began to gather in the circle at a very fast speed.
"That's it! That's it!" The old man seemed to have asked for sanity. He didn't even notice that his blood was also being stolen. 1 second later, the old man dropped dead to the ground.
A humanoid-shaped creature began to form in the circle. The creature's body was completely red and appeared to have no facial features. Long crimson wings were on its back.
The creature looked at Keiichi who was fleeing. Sensing that Keiichi was a tasty prey, the creature darted towards him.
"Aaahh! It's coming! It's coming!" Toki Sakata started screaming when he saw the bizarre creature trying to reach them.
'What the hell is this?!' Keiichi was a little scared. He had never seen such a creature.

"Shut up, you idiot!" He was already getting mad at Toki Sakata who wouldn't stop screaming.
"Let's try to lose him-"
A crimson beam came towards Keiichi, he made a sharp turn and dodged the beam.
*BOOMMM!*
The crimson beam destroyed everything within a radius of 100 meters. Keiichi was even more alarmed by the power of this creature.
"Swallow this." Keiichi launched a beam of flame towards the creature.
*BOOMMM!*
The beam of flames destroyed everything within 500 meters. Toki Sakata was amazed at Keiichi's power. He didn't expect anyone could be so powerful at such a young age.
'Is he from a great Sect?'
"Is it dead?" Keiichi expected the creature to die from this attack, however…
The creature appeared behind Keiichi with its arms turned into blades.
*Slash!* *Slash!*
Keiichi tried to defend the attacks with his knife, but it broke without any resistance.
'Tsk! I need some decent weapons.'
The creature continued to attack Keiichi with its blades. Keiichi dodged the attacks, however, he couldn't counter effectively as he was holding Toki Sakata in his left arm.
Keiichi retaliated with a kick to the creature's chest.
*BAM!*
The kick managed to open a hole in the creature's chest, but in the next moment, the hole disappeared.
Regeneration.
'Is that… blood?!' Keiichi noticed something strange. Despite the creature's body being red, Keiichi thought it was just the coloration, but he was wrong. The creature's body was made of blood.
'Physical attacks don't seem to be very effective.'
Keiichi made several fire swords and threw them at the creature. He didn't want to use the wind element against this creature, because it wouldn't be very effective either. The fire element was the key.
The creature retaliated with crimson beams.

*BOOMM!* *BOOMM!* ….
'I feel… dizzy!' Toki Sakata couldn't keep up with the speed with which the fight was going. His head seemed to spin.
Seeing that the situation was not so favorable, the creature decided to end the fight as soon as possible. A red circle began to form under Keiichi's feet. Keiichi tried to move his body, but he couldn't. Looks like his body was paralyzed.
"Shit! We're going to die!" Toki Sakata screamed again
The red circle began to glow.
*BOOMM!*
A pillar of crimson energy rose into the sky. The area was destroyed, or rather, almost the entire Sect had already been destroyed.
…
"Enough of this!" Keiichi walked out of the circle with an angry expression.
Green flames surrounded the body of Keiichi and Toki Sakata. The flames didn't hurt Toki Sakata, because Keiichi wouldn't allow it. He was already able to control some properties of Hell Flame.
To defend the creature's attack, Keiichi closed his body and Toki Sakata's with Hell Flame. Hell Flame could also consume other things. That said, Keiichi used the Hell Flame to consume the energy that would hurt him.
'This crimson energy… I had never seen it.'
The creature was alarmed to see the green flames.
"My turn." Keiichi darted towards the creature. The creature tried to dodge, but Keiichi was faster. Keiichi touched the creature's chest.
"Die!"
The green flames invaded the creature's body, charring its body completely. The creature's regeneration failed to cure it. The creature let out a scream of agony before its body disappeared completely.
"Did we win?! We're alive!" Toki Sakata screamed again.
Keiichi looked at him with a frown.
"Wait! Who are you?!" Toki Sakata realized that his situation was not as good as he thought.
"Please don't kill me! I can work for you!"
"Why the hell don't you shut up?!"
Keiichi headed towards the tree that had brought him to this place. The Sect was almost destroyed, but luckily the tree was not destroyed.
'Let's go.'
-
The masked man rose from the ground with a pained expression on his face. He didn't expect any intruders to show up here.
Seeing the circle of blood in the room losing its glow, he wore an angry expression.
'We failed!'
He barely noticed that a trace of blood was approaching his feet. This blood seemed to have a life of its own and was close to consuming him.

Mobius
Far in the future, humans have thoroughly colonized space through the use of floating colonies and artificially replicating the Earth whenever possible. Most of these endeavors have gone well, with humanity spreading across the universe like the seeds of plants floating in the wind. Yet still there lurks the great mistake, the endless station of Mobius, a megastructure which hasn't ceased its building in over a century. Dante, a man living in this megastructure, is tasked with the recording of stories told by criminals, particularly those who travel between strata. One day, a prisoner is captured claiming to be Captain Pluto, an infamous criminal thought to be fictitious by most scholars. Even more curious, he claims to hail all the way from Stratum 56, a location so far away from Dante's Stratum 999 that it would take lifetimes to traverse such a distance. Dante must discern whether or not the story is false or true, and the longer he lets Captain Pluto speak, the more difficult his task becomes. *****Average chapter length will be 10k words give or take. This isn't a very serious story for me. I'm writing this to blow off steam. Updates will happen infrequently because of this, and it will most likely be unpolished unless I begin to take it more seriously.

World Master
Hey! I once lived on your world back in 2056. But that was a long time ago and there’s probably no records of my existence. Or, maybe, I haven’t even been born yet… …I’m still figuring out of the timelines correspond. Anyways, I was or will be, or whatever you want to call it (maybe I am?), John Pitcher, a resident at St. Jude’s Hospital for the Mentally Ill. I was a computer programmer and my parents had me admitted there because I was convinced that I had been contacted by Set, the Egyptian god of chaos, about creating a world. Well, apparently, I’m something akin to the great times a hundred grandson of over 10 000 gods, and they didn’t want me to live an ordinary, dull life (well, except for the god of normalcy, but he doesn’t count). Set gave me three years to prepare myself. This begins right at the end of those three years. [participant in the NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] I originally had this as part of the prologue, then I realized that it made a better synopsis. Please note: this might seem a bit clunky because I haven't done a lot of writing, and this is supposed to be a kind of prequel to another story that I plan on doing in the future. I will not be fully explaining everything but instead will be explaining things in that other story. This is mainly to help fill in the lore of the world so that people will have at least a basic idea of how things function. Regardless of that, that story won't be written for at least another year, so deal with it. Note: I am using ideas from several different authors in order to make sure that this can be a proper story. You may or may not recognize where I got them. I am not writing a Fanfiction and do not claim these as my own. I will add to a list of titles below as I find myself using those ideas. World Keeper (obviously) The Wandering Inn The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound (not yet, but eventually) A bunch of others that I haven't thought of yet
