《End Game[EG]》Ch 6:Unreality, Sakura Kanami

After Yato disappeared, Sakura sat on her bed with a helpless expression. She got a little angry when Yato disappeared without teaching her anything.
*Sigh!*
"It shouldn't be that complicated." Sakura opened the system and three options were displayed.
[◇Store]
[◇Daily Missions]
[◇Inventory]
"Well… let's check the Inventory first." She opened her inventory and saw infinite item slots; however, almost all were empty. Only one slot was occupied, by a… gift?
"A gift?" Sakura thought of Yato. "Well let's open it."
「You made a good choice to accept the system. How about a gift? I bet you will like it; however, your luck will be at stake here. Try not to die. Good luck.」
"Try not to die? What the hell is this gift?" Sakura thought she would get a good reward easily; however, Yato's words left her hesitant.
'He wouldn't put something bad in the present... right?'
After hesitating for a few minutes, she decided to open the gift. She thought it would make no sense for Yato to use these means to hurt her, because he could kill her at any time. After opening the gift, a roulette wheel appeared. The wheel spun for a few seconds before stopping.
[Congratulations, you won an awakening potion]
"A potion?!" Sakura was a little disappointed. She hoped to get some cool items.
'Well, I better not judge until I know.' Sakura opened the item description.
◇Wake up potion
A miracle potion that can reveal someone's hidden talent.
"Hidden talent?...maybe...I have a talent for magic?!" Sakura was very excited. She couldn't wait to do magic. She didn't wait another minute and opened the potion without hesitation. The smell of the potion filled the room. The scent was so good it could embarrass the best perfume in the world.

"Fufufu, look young mortals… I, the witch of nightmares, will be reborn today." Sakura drank the potion without hesitation. The potion seemed to have no taste, it was similar to drinking water.
1 minute later...
"So… nothing happened?!" Sakura was extremely upset. She thought she might have some talent for magic; Nonetheless…
"Ah!" Sakura gave a weak moan of pain. Her body started to go through strange changes.
"What is this?!..." She felt her body get hot, cold, uncomfortable, comfortable, etc. The constant changes left Sakura confused.
"Ahhhh!!!" Her body suddenly started to ache. Her cells seemed to be constantly being destroyed and rebuilt. Sakura fell to the ground with a shallow breath. She began to thrash around on the floor, looking for something that could help her.
"Onee-Chan…" She called to her sister, in an attempt to seek some comfort; however, her sister was not at home now. Her murmurs reached no one…or almost anyone.
[Awakening completed]
"Ah! Ah! Is it over?!" Sakura got up from the floor and sat on her bed. Her body was so weak she could barely move. She closed her eyes and rested for a few minutes.
"Damn Yato! Couldn't you have warned me about this?!" If she knew she would go through so much pain, she would think a little more before drinking the potion.
'Well… he warned about it…' Sakura thought about Yato's message. When she felt her body get a little better, she opened the system again.
[Unique Skill Unlocked: Unreality]
The user is able to manipulate Unreality.
Note 1: Due to the user's abilities being very low, this power is severely restricted.
Note 2: High level of imagination required.
"Unreality?!" Sakura looked at the system message, a puzzled expression on her face. Unreality involved everything that was not real, exemples: dreams, illusions, lies, etc. Sakura hoped to gain a simpler power, like shooting fireballs; however, the power she received was very complex.

"Well, it's better than I thought." Even though she found this skill complex, she was very excited about it. Reading the system notes, she thought she should train more.
"Maybe the store can help me with this." She opened the store, looking for something that could help her strengthen herself.
[Search items]
[Recommended items]
Sakura clicked on the second option.
[The amount of user points is very low, looking for suitable items…]
-
[Mental training card]
A card that can increase brain processing speed.
Requirements: mental training
Price: 100 points
Note: valid up to 7 days
-
[Mental Enhancement Card]
A card that can permanently improve the user's mental ability
Requirements: none
Price: 500 points
Note: Your Chūnibyō delusions can be thought of more efficiently.
Sakura pursed her lips when she saw the system note. She had a feeling Yato was behind these things.
"What do I do? I only have 500 points." She didn't know which would be the best option. The mental enhancement card could bring quick wins, but it was more expensive. The mental training card could bring steady but slow gains, as well as being cheaper. While Sakura was thinking about the matter, another system message arrived.
[The daily quest will start]
Requirements: Survive
Sakura didn't have time to think about the system message because she was teleported.
-
"W-Where am I?! What is this place?!" Sakura looked around. Where she was was a seemingly endless arid desert. Sakura's situation was similar to Keiichi's.
"System?!" Sakura yelled.
[59:57...59:56...59:55...]
"Huh?! What is this-"
*steps!* *steps!*
Sakura became alert when she heard footsteps in the distance, or rather, the sound seemed to be several creatures moving at the same time. Looking into the distance, Sakura saw several creatures moving towards her; however, she couldn't make out the shape of the creatures. Focusing her vision, she was completely shocked by what she saw.
"Shit! System!!!" She started running in the opposite direction the creatures were coming from.
Tens of meters away, several giant creatures were running towards the sakura. Unlike Keiichi who was just running away from ants, Sakura was running away from ants, spiders, snakes, etc. It seems her situation was worse than his.
-
In the throne room, Yato and Yerin watched Keiichi and Sakura.
"That's amazing, master." Yerin commented as he watched Sakura. She was a little impressed when she discovered Sakura's innate talent. Sakura's innate talent was very good.
"She has potential." Yerin said.
"In fact, she has potential, but you can't belittle the boy." Yato replied.
"I don't see anything special about him." Yerin said. Maybe she was just being irrational, though—the only man she admired and would forever follow was ahead of her now.
"I know what you're thinking." Yato said with a smile. "Don't be so strict with him, you know, that boy has some impressive strokes of luck." Keiichi's innate talent was less than Sakura's; however, his luck was very good in certain situations. They also had the system, so those concerns were irrelevant.
"You're right, master. Maybe he can surprise, just like that person." Yerin thought of the man who had achieved enormous power without any talent. This man was a good friend of Yato's.
*yawn!*
"Let's just watch them for now. In the meantime…" Yato hugged Yerin's waist and brought her onto his lap.
"Let me pamper you a little." He said with a smile.
"Master…"

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

A War Beyond Kings
Author: I made som mistakes early in the story that I will have to correct, but it will take some time. I have not abandoned this story, but I will be working on my computer and will not be active on royal road. "The elves start to leave their secure forest of Silvanwood for the first time in over two thousand years. Wizards are murdered in their own homes one by one to the dismay of the Jeidan Order of mages. The ancient ruins in Agnellia seem to have awoken after thousands of years of abandon. The flames of war are brewing, and the continent of Maëgor is about to witness a war like never seen before." Author’s note: This is a serious story, loosely inspired from many great works, which you will maybe be able to identify on your own. It is entirely original though. I’ll be working on this for hours every day, but that doesn’t necessarily means that there’ll be daily chapters. I don't own the rights to the cover image, and will immediatly take it down if the author requires so. Every chapter will be at least 2000 words. And congratulations to anyone who guesses on which language the chapter titles are written in.
