The next morning.
Kyle and the other arrived at the meeting place, its a big building located on the right side of the entrance of the academy.
The meeting place was already filled with people. Students from the second year to the third year were gathered there.
In front of them are the teacher led by Vice-principal Gregory McCain. The members of the student's Council led by Emea, the Moral committee led by Luxor Memphis Luxon and some other clubs.
Even the Principal Jasmine Rhea Yydrassil was present. It seems she was already back from the world summit.
It was the first time, Kyle saw the principal. He can't help and thought, 'Wow! nice form, she is not bad. Nui said that she is her aunt. Jokes aside, she powerful, if I were to compare her to those old fossils that spied on me when I first show up. She is just a tad bit weaker, and besides, she's not that old.'
A few minutes later, the remaining students came. Jasmine Rhea Yydrassil advanced before she coughed loudly, like this all students focused their attention on her.
Clearing her throat she started her speech with a light smile.
'' Welcome, students at the Heaven Manor Academy, Sorry I was out on an errand, it's why you didn't see me earlier. ''
She continued by saying. '' As you know, today we are here to start an expedition. As it a tradition for the second year and third year to go on Expedition in one the forbidden zones every year, this year is not an exception. This Expedition will transpire in the Lost Forest, located outside the capital. The danger Level of this forbidden zone is 4, it means forbidden zone Level 4, you must be cautious. The expedition will last one month. I will teleport everyone to the location of the expedition. So, teachers please get your students in order. ''

Immediately each teacher started working.
After a few minutes everything was already in order.
Jasmine Rhea Yydrassil clapped her hands after a Kyle and the others disappeared from where there were.
After a few seconds, when they opened their eyes again, they were in front of a giant never-ending forest.
Kyle and others even before entering the forest could feel the change in the gravity here. It seems that the rumors were true. Kyle marvel at Jasmine space power, she is indeed powerful.
The others students can't hide the admiration present on their faces when they thought about what their principal just did, they felt proud to be in her academy.
Jasmine advance after making sure that all the student's attention was gathered on her she said.
'' Now I'll explain the rules of this expedition. As I said earlier, this expedition will last one month. Each student will be teleported to a random part of the Lost Forest. Be aware that the gravity inside is more than the one you are feeling now. Do not go too deep inside the forest. It's a survival game, some may die if you are careless.
However, surviving is not the only goal of this expedition, there is another goal, that's to nurture not only your survival instinct but also to increase your real-life combat experience. True powerhouses were not made in a greenhouse but through real-life hardship. It to say, if you want to be a true powerhouse, you need to experience real-life combat with your life on the line. ''
Jasmine took a mouthful of air before continuing.
'' The true goal of this expedition is to hunt a lot mutated beasts. During the one month of stay here. Each student's will be graded according to the numbers and strength of the mutated beasts they hunt. Besides, if you survive for Ten days without triggering the bracelets on your wrist, you will be rewarded with 100 contribution points, for twenty days it will be 200 contribution points and lastly, if you managed to last until the end you will get 500 contribution points, outside your spoils. I'm sure you all know the utility of contribution points. ''

All students expressions changed when they heard this, they must survive at all costs. Looking at the black bracelet on their wrist, they vowed not to activate it, because in case of extreme danger you can trigger the rescue mechanism inside it. Instantly a teacher will come at your rescue. Besides, this black bracelet has another function, is to records the number of mutated beasts, their strength, and even have private space inside, that one could use to store mutated beast crystal core in it.
Jasmine continued.
'' Also, fighting between students is authorized. If any of you beat any student, you will be rewarded with 10 contribution points, if that person is a genius like the one in the special class you will get 20 contribution points. However, killing or crippling others is forbidden. If you do it, you will sentence to death in the worst case. You've been warned. ''
'' To finish, there is no need to be afraid, if you are careful enough. Once again it's forbidden to kill and for your own safety do not go too deep inside the forest or else even with the rescue mechanism inside the black bracelet and the protective shield we won't be responsible for your death if we found out that you've gone beyond the authorized limit. See you in one month ''
After saying that she clapped her hands once again, Kyle and the other students disappeared, when they were teleporting, Leon looks sinisterly at Kyle and smiled, a wicked smile. Kyle only smiled in return.
•••••••••••••••••••
On the other side of the Lost Forest, a group of red-dressed men were standing at the edge of the forest.
The leader of this group is a thin man, his body is radiating bloody auras, the aura of a massacre, this man must have killed a lot of people to be able to emit this kind of aura. The others are not too different. The red-dressed group numbered twenty. They all wore white masks with a red circles on them, the red circle looks like blood.
Suddenly, someone between them said lecherously.
'' Ah! I can't wait to have a little fun with a bunch of beautiful school girls. Fresh meats are best. ''
The man who just said this become frozen after saying that because it's as if a snake was behind his back wanting to devour him. It was the leader killing intent that makes him feel like that. He can't help but sweat like he was in the middle of a desert.
After retrieving his killing intent the leader said. '' You've been warned, we are here to only kill the crimson eyed youth, nothing else. I don't want to anger that battle junkie now that she has stepped into the God Tier. Stay put ''
'' Roger, boss I understand. '' the man replied.
Few minutes later, the twenty vanished, strangely it was after Kyle and the other disappeared.
Jasmine looked in the direction of the vanished red-dressed men and smiled.
A storm is brewing.

Cheep!?
Charles Monroe survived the disappearance of his parents, did his best to hold things together for himself and his sister. He survived when she, too, vanished, leaving behind nothing but a cryptic note. He was devastated, but he kept moving forward as best he could. Cancer didn’t put him down, and after suffering through several rounds of chemotherapy, Charles Monroe thought that things might finally be looking up. That is, until a virulent strain of ebola swept through the city. With his immune system strained as it is, the odds don’t look good for Charles. Now, on the bridge between life and death, he hears a voice claiming to know where his family went. It claims that it needs his help and that it can give him a second life, one far away from all the pain he’s ever known. So, Charles answers as any reasonable person would. He says no. Charles isn't ready or willing to die yet. But, as with everything else to this point, even his choice to keep fighting is taken from him all too soon. With no other option but the dark oblivion of death, Charles chooses to make a deal with the spirit of a distant world that's seeking a wild card in its battle against the gods, monsters, and mortals that threaten its existence. Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent

Monsters with powdery black skin, and glowing orange eyes. Monsters who seemed hell-bent on consuming. Destroying everything in their path, the monsters swept eastwards towards the kingdom of Elendial. A war raged. And humanity crumpled. Retreating deep within their strongholds as the land became ruled by the corrupted creatures spawned by the Chromagnum. Then a leader arose, and humanity rallied. King Magnus drove back the slavering hordes and fought to bring peace to the land once more. However our story does not chronicle King Magnus’ rise to power. Nor does it detail how he collected the elites of the kingdom and forged them into the sharpest of blades. No. Our story tells the tale of young Ril Renar. An orphan. Alone, rejected by society. Ril travels across Elendial searching desperately for a family to call his own. Along the way he will find friends and struggle mightily to convince them to make a space in their hearts for him. Book 1 - Complete (0-30) Book 2 - Ongoing (31-) This story is a softcore progression classic fantasy with LitRPG elements. The story is about searching for family, love, loss, sacrifice, and of course power. The content warnings are mild.

The Emperor's Chef
"Cook like your life depends on it, kid. Because it does." Charles had an enviable future lined up for him. Training from the age of five by some of the finest chefs in the world. Schooling at a top culinary academy in the capital. An honorable position as heir to House Boulier, a line of merchant-lords who have charmed the rich and powerful with their cooking for centuries. And in a single night, it all burned to ash. When the outbreak of war destroys his hometown, Charles is charged with escorting his family’s sacred treasure—a recipe book passed down for untold generations—out of harm's way. But his simple mission grows complicated when he’s captured by one of the most feared battalions in the world: the Spears of Mercy. Life as a prisoner in their war camp is brutal and uncertain. Charles has few allies and even fewer strengths to rely on. Only his skills in the culinary arts, honed over a lifetime in the kitchen, are deemed useful enough to keep him alive another day. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. If you like the story so far and you're interested in being an early reviewer for the final product, feel free to message me. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.
