“Gaya,leave us alone”
She bowed her head and obeyed, now Dali and Dante were the only ones in the tent.
“Ever since my wife passed away,i have not been able to find a woman strong enough to give birth”
What the...what does this have to do with me.....
“I have several woman but everytime i try sleeping with them they cant handle my strength,by the time i wake up in the morning i find them dead ”
He was really making a saddened expression, but not being able to have sex gotta be painful so Dante understood.
“Gaya is my only child and she tries her best to prove herself but in the end she is only a woman, the tribe’s top warrior will pick another one to lead soon and my daughter would end up as his whore”
He placed his giant hands on his shoulders and stared right through his soul
“I want you to become my adopted son, prove yourself to the tribe and become that chieftain.I know for a fact that you will be more worthy”
Dante was very surprised by the change of events but still asked him why did he think he was worthy when he was just an outsider.
“Its the totem on your forehead”
He took out his shirt and his bulging muscles came out, then he showed him some weird tribal tattoos that he had.
“This is called totem, the shaman elder gives you one the moment you reach 13 years old, however the human body cant handle them on places without muscles.
So normally the totems are drawn on legs arms or back, but you have that right on your forehead, just shows that you are a child of heavens destined for great things”
Now that he understood what the guy was on about,he thought that this might work out on his favour and decided to take a seat without pretending to be respectful any longer.

“I am going to be honest with you, chief Dali.I intend on unifying all tribes and conquer land outside of this damned place”
The moment the outside was mentioned,Dali froze.Their predecessors had told them how strong immortals and sorcerers lived outside of the place, they were ordered to never go outside.
“I know what you are thinking, but just like the rest of the tribes you are misinformed.
The totem drawn in my forehead is what allowed me to learn the truth, the heavens gave me this gift and wanted me to bring salvation to all tribes and give them a place in the world”
Once he finished his speech about being a messiah that would bring them salvation and that it was his fate to do so,he added.
“Do you want to know the truth that the heavens told me?The truth about this place?”
At this point Dali had forgotten all about his previous issues and was just nodding his head like a little kid.
Dante’s hand was up and chaos fire manifested on his palm.
“This is spirit power, everyone can merge his spirit with the spirit of a beast, individual or elemental based on natural talent.Normally you would be able to do so too however the death planes its what doesn’t allow you to”
His faced showed anger,he was such a simpleton .He got happy when Dante said you should be able to do it too but when he told him about the death planes effect his face showed anger again.
“The death plane’s air is polluted with evil miasma, the miasma poisons your spirit channels and does not allow you to use spirit sorcery”
He called it sorcery to brainwash the poor guy more.
“But i can grant it to you,i can grant it to the entire tribe if I wanted.

And thats how i will unify all tribes”
The tent was lifted and an old woman who looked about 500 years old came in.
Her hands were holding a wooden staff and she covered herself with a cloak made of animal skin.
“You are correct child,it is true that the poisonous miasma does not let us learn spirit sorcery, but how could a child like you come to know such a thing”
How could it be possible, not only did the “chaos pupils” not sense her,Dante could also feel a faint spirit power coming out of her.
Surprised though he was,he managed to pull himself together and continued his bullshit story .
“It was when my tribe got wiped out,as the only survivor I blamed being weak and tried committing suicide by falling of a cliff
After losing conciseness, the heavens gave me a dream,no it was more like a story”
He could barely contain his laughter, especially once he saw the dramatic expressions on their faces.
“In the story, our predecessors were banished by the outsiders into this forest as a sacrifice to the beasts inside.
Once every 3 years they brought people in so the beasts could feast,it was the only way of keeping the beasts in check or otherwise they would form beast tides and attack the outsiders.
But when they saw that they were just becoming food for the beasts, they got a better idea.
They granted the tribes totem techniques to make them strong, and they stay safe outside while us tribesman have to risk our lives killing the beasts and lowering their numbers for all eternity “
He released a saddened gasp and tried facepalming ,but the old lady’s staff fell down and she almost passed out.
“Elder,elder are you okay”
She lifted her hand and told Dali to stop approaching her.Anger could be seen in her eyes....
“I always had my doubts, but to think we are just tools to thin out the beasts...
While they are on the outside free to use spirit sorcery,we remain inside this damned place imprisoned to serve our little purpose “
Even though the whole vision and child of heavens were Dante’s bullshit, what he said about the empire using them was true,in a way he understood what being imprisoned mean.
“When i woke up,i found myself on a soft bed made of leaves, next to me lay an eagle egg while on my forehead my trident totem was glowing”
He used spirit energy and made his trident totem glow just to make the whole thing even more dramatic.
The elder came closer to him and touched his forehead, the chaos energy entered her finger and her spirit even though already super damaged by the miasma sensed the chaos energy, her entire being shook.

And Simon answered their call with a single statement that nobody understood "Et super mos absit hoc hodie!" "Yah!" "WWWaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!" "AAAlllllaaaaallllaaaaallllaaaa!" "EeEEellllleeeeeelllllleeeeeeuuuuuuu!" I, too, yelled a battle cry at the top of my lungs. I had no idea what Simon had just spouted but from Camilla's giggling, I could guess that Simon thought that spouting nonsense was his way of getting out of the earlier predicament. "I forbid death upon this day," Camilla said. "What?" I answered a bit at a loss. "Ancient Latin," she replied smugly, "He said 'I forbid death upon this day'." I laughed aloud "Then he is gonna be really disappointed in everyone here," Camilla did not reply and instead took a deep breath. I did the same, zoning out everything in my surroundings. The environment became a world of electrical pulses traveling across several networks. I perceived the world through my lightning and sped my heartbeat to inhuman levels. I was present now, at this moment, at this point in time. I could feel the electrifying air saturating my lungs, the electrified ground vibrating at the rhythm of the approaching enemy. Then I took a step forward, everyone followed in tandem. Camilla the first, and then the others. Then I took a second step, and this time everyone followed simultaneously. Third step… Fourth step… Fifth step… Then light jogging… Speeding up… Running … Running faster…. Then suddenly, everyone disappeared into motes of light particles that re-constructed itself hundreds of feet above the horde, dozens of miles away from our initial position. We were literally 'diving' into battle.-------------------------------------------------------------------Despite a rough childhood in the slums, Omari had everything a guy could want - a loving girlfriend, an understanding sister, a wonderful teacher, and his dream job. The beginning chapters are a bit slow, but if you can get past that, there is a chance you'll love it. Happy Reading.
