《Young Military Rarities》C34. Who Could You Blame for the Trouble You Asked For?
“He is merely well behaved now. Master, once not being fed nucleus, he will immediately get savage.”
Suddenly interrupted, Hei Yu stopped complaining. Yun Che impatiently asked: “Why don’t you give him nucleus?”
After all, who could you blame for the trouble you asked for?
“I was just curious to know what if he had no nucleus to eat...”
Hei Yu evasively defended himself.
“Cheng’s sudden breaking through and promotion actually result from the catalysis of the spring water. This promotion is only superficial, with which his body’s internals cannot keep pace. Therefore, he has to take in a large amount of energy at once to balance the evolution inside and outside. You are the only living thing here, so he has to chase after you when he has no nucleus to eat.”
After saying this, Yun Che ignored Hei Yu and walked towards Yun Cheng. He squatted down in front of Cheng, smoothing back a few stray hairs that fell on Cheng’s forehead. The coldness he felt on his fingers reminded him that Cheng was a zombie now. Although he still looked like a living person, he had no breathing, no heartbeat, and no body temperature now.
It was not painful anymore. His heart was broken into so many pieces that it could not ache anymore. Cheng was intelligent and competent, but now...
“Don't you know? In addition to our sister and me, there is another person who misses you very much. I can feel that he loves you as much as we do. His name is Leng Yehan. It’s a cool name, right? He is as cool as his name, but he is passionate in his heart. A man like him will either love no one or love one forever, so you must be responsible for him. Our sister is strict with us. She must be angry with you if you should break other people’s heart. Therefore, even if you don’t like Leng, you must refuse him yourself. Cheng, recover quickly and respond to Leng’s love!”
Yun Che held Cheng's hand and murmured. Seeing that Cheng’s nails were long and sharp, he took a nail clipper out of nowhere. He patiently cut nails for him, after which he took out a new set of white sportswear and got Cheng dressed. From the beginning to the end, Cheng merely sat there with a glazed look in his eyes, leaving himself completely at the mercy of Yun Che. Meanwhile, he never stopped devouring nucleus.
“Much better now! You look as handsome as before. If you must be a zombie, be a zombie of superior taste!”
Arms folded across his chest, Yun Che withdrew a little and looked Cheng up and down with great satisfaction. The white sportswear embellished with some black stripes showed off his fair skin to great advantage. Twinkling eyes revealing intelligence, scarlet lips setting off elegance, he himself was the synonym for pulchritude. If one could ignore his tusks, he was arguably gorgeous.

“What a boaster! Master, you are blowing your own trumpet!”
Hei Yu unmasked Yun Che straightforwardly. Everyone knew that Yun Che and Yun Cheng looked exactly the same.
“It seems that you don’t want to leave the space.”
Moving sideways, Yun Che gave Hei Yu a threatening look. Hei Yu immediately put on a smile
and threw himself into Che’s arms, eyes twinkling pitifully: “Master, I am wrong. I will slaughter him who dares to say you are a boaster. My dear master, believe me, you are definitely the most handsome man in the world. If we go back to the ancient times, you will make Pan An feel inferior.”
Now who was the boaster?
Yun Che's mouth twitched, but the praise continued. It seemed that Hei Yu could boast and brag till the end of the world.
“Okay...I will take you out. Stop it!”
Yun Che surrendered.
“Hoo... Next time you can agree faster, then I can save my breath.”
Yun Che was dying to slap his face. He never knew Hei Yu could be so shameless.
“The space seems to have grown a lot. The mountain is wholly revealed, and there is a new stream. Is it a stream?”
Tired of bickering, Yun Che turned away and found that the space had changed. At first, it was the size of two football fields. Then it doubled, for he had stuffed a lot of things in it, and now it had become several times larger. The mist that shrouded the peaks had gradually lifted, and the whole mountain got exposed. There was a stream gurgling on the other side of the mountain. No, it would be underrated if it was called a “stream”. It would be better to call it a “river”. When Yun Che went nearer, he found that the river was clear and limpid. There were shoals of fish swimming in it. The space had existed for a very long time and never been exploited, for which the fish in the river were plump.
“You have stuffed a man in it. How can it possibly remain the same?”
Although being threatened for many times, Hei Yu still couldn’t help making sarcastic comments.
Besides vegetables, Yun Che hadn’t eaten fresh food for a long time. In his eyes, those fish had already turned into delicious dishes. He was therefore very satisfied and didn’t want to argue with Hei Yu. His eyes were on the distant lofty mountains: “Given that there are fish in the river, will there be any game in the mountains?”
If there were any, they would have enough meat to eat in the future. Yun Che had no choice but to to look for meat, for his little chubby nephew was an incurable carnivore.

“Don’t be stupid. What do I live on if there are no games?”
The master's IQ seemed to be a little worrying.
“Do god beasts also need food?”
Yun Che was surprised. He thought that absorbing aura was enough for god beasts, as described in novels and TV series. Was it possible that his Hei Yu was a fake god beast?
“Why are you looking at me suspiciously? I’m a real god beast!”
Hei Yu angrily defended.
“It’s my fault. I should have noticed that. I forgot that you were so greedy that you had tried every means to beg for an energy bar.”
Yun Che pretended to acknowledge his mistakes, while he was actually being sarcastic. Hei Yu struck a pose of attacking Yun Che. Yun Che waved him aside: “Don't pester me. We are arriving at the Southwest Base tomorrow. Zhou Zeyu and his companions may keep silent in face of so many questionable points, but others won’t. Go out with me. I will take you to the Southwest Base.”
The reason why he entered the space was to bring Hei Yu out. Also, he wanted to take a look at his brother. The change of the space was unexpected.
“Oh...”
Out of character, Hei Yu didn’t say much, which even surprised Yun Che. Then Yun Che turned to Yun Cheng: “Cheng, we are going out. These nucleus are enough for you to eat. When I get everything settled in the Southwest Base, I will take you outside the space.”
He didn’t expect Yun Cheng to reply, but Yun Cheng unexpectedly took a look at Yun Che with his vacant-looking eyes, which warmed Yun Che. At least he could react to his voice. That was to say Cheng was still curable.
Hei Yu turned himself into a Tibetan mastiff of normal size. The master and his beast got out of the space after making sure no one was outside.
“Huh? What a stink!”
Hei Yu complained the moment they stepped out of the space. Yun Che said: “ Nothing stinks. What’s wrong with your nos...”
It was a gas station. There was nothing but the smell of gas... How could... Yun Che stopped saying, and his face became sullen. There must be something wrong. It was the time of doomsday, and zombies were everywhere. The only reason why there were no zombies was that they were killed. Then where were their bodies? Why weren’t there any smell of rotting corpses?
The nose of the beast was much better than that of human. That was why Hei Yu could smell the stink Yun Che had ignored. Yun Che suddenly wore a sullen look, and an atmosphere of tension suffused the station.
Noticing the change of his master, Hei Yu shook his body and turned into a larger size. Yun Che sat astride his back and headed towards the back of the gas station in the darkness of night.
“Hmm...”
About a hundred meters away from the gas station, there was a large pit with a diameter of about four or five meters. Zombies inside the pit kept roaring. When Yun Che and Hei Yu landed on the edge of the pit, a flash of lightening suddenly lit the sky.
“Hoohoo...”
Under the lightning, zombies in the pit could be seen clearly. The pit was filled with incomplete corpses, mutated zombies and their internal organs. The smell of rotting bodies and blood was more than disgusting. The zombies either lost their hands or their legs, and some of them even lost half of their bodies. Out of their instinct for survival, they were still struggling and reaching out their hands for help.
“Damn it!”
Obviously, the zombies were intentionally dumped there. Even Yun Che, who had become indifferent after all the cruelties he saw in the time of doomsday, was gnashing his teeth in anger. Unmistakably, it was those people in the gas station that did this.
“Master...”
Hei Yu looked at him worriedly. Yun Che said nothing. He took out two buckets of gasoline from the space and poured it into the pit. Then he threw a burning cigarette lighter in it.
A sudden flame blasted into the sky, and the roar of the zombies continued. Yun Che had already left. The only thing he could do for them was to end their lives.
“I thought you would only care about the people you love.”
Hei Yu turned into the size of a Tibetan Mastiff again and caught up with Yun Che. After a pause, Yun Che continued walking, with a cigarette dangling from one’s lips: “I don't care much about unrelated people. However, I am still a human.”
He had to be cold-hearted to survive in the time of doomsday, but he had never forgot he was still a human.
