Survivors of the floor vs The zombie hordes

Everyone finds themselves on the 1st floor which is a situation that is different from the previous two mission, where they can take advantages on the falling zombies. This time, it is that all the zombies and survivors are all teleported on the first floor. This time the 1st floor has 3 staircases along with the lifts that are on the left, middle, right area of the building. The area is like afterwards of a battlefield where it is full of corpses, like dead zombies where their flesh are all being eaten, and pests like dead rats, and lizards and a lot of insects body parts and fluids which give off the stinking smell. The smell is so pungent that anyone does not want to stand too close to it but there is no escape since the mission has just started.

Everyone is getting their weapons out and are ready for the battle as there is no escape from it, so it is better to quickly end this mission asap. This time around the zombies growls all at ones, like some kind of tribal roar. But most survivors have already prepared for it as the rewards are getting too much for the normal mission if once the zombies are dead. We can actually own the whole building as the safe zone.

Due to the large numbers of survivors (people), it is nearly impossible to have the sudden idea of doing any formations and etc. As we are facing a weaker force than the previous mission. There are 2 walls of zombies, 2 smokers, 10 dickers, 20 hunks like zombies, also there is a group of oversize insects fighting against the zombies, most survivors are surprised that pests can now 3 to 5 times bigger than the normal one that is even rarely seen as most of the time, humans only read it in the book or see it on the TV.

"Keep the straight line and the rest get ready to swap with the frontline or heal him with any healing items, line up as a box so no zombies can get in between the flanks," I shouted, as some do listen, some go on working on their business.

What ends up is there are 3 boxes and there are some survivors eager to kill some zombies as a result, they refused to listen, thus the formation has holes or gaps between them. At the early start of the few turns, the survivors are doing fine as we are advancing forward clearing up the zombies, but more and more hugger type zombies start to hug and block other survivors on their vision and making allies survivors more acceptable to friendly fire.

Hugger zombies can hide behind the normal zombies by prone themselves on the floors, during their turn, when the nearby survivor is too close to them, they leap and hug the survivors, which do damage like regular zombies but with their weight and body can slow down the survivors from moving and as well as making friendly fire by survivors fire possible by 20 per cent.

Once after our turn, during the insect's turn, they seem to swarm their ways through the zombies with their attacks. As there is a group of 5 now 3 feet that are around 1 metre long lizards attacking the hunks, a few groups of oversize ants which are a colour that is mix with red and black swarm against the zombies, the huggers are useless against them as the hugger can only to hug an ant, while the other ants can still attack it. The cockroaches and houseflies use their abilities and wings to bypass the wall of zombies to attack the dickers and the strangest part are, at the start of the battle, those mutated pests are not being seen and now they are attacking the zombies by ramming and bitting them. They also attack us and the ants can do heavy damage to the survivors who are using melee weapons against them which is most of us. A group of rats are ambushing the zombies and run away from zombie's attacks as the zombies are moving slower than rats (rats have a skill that can attack then move away furthermore they have more movement speed (space) than the zombies).

In the zombie's turn, they close up their formation of walls and they attack the surrounding insects and pests and managed to kill some weaker pests and do some minor damage to the survivors. Zombies like Dickers, smokers and hunkers are forced to fight in melee range as the pests are getting swarming on them even though they manage to kill a lot of them, but there are still having a large group of pests.

Back to the survivors turn, we move forward, advancing forward in order to clear the walls of zombies, people slowly start to spread up that is not as wanted. As everyone wants to get a higher contribution for better rewards, they start to refuse to listen to the orders from me. Well, survivors are scattering around and focus on killing the zombies.

Once again on the insect's turn, the pests start attacking the survivors and managed to kill some of the zombies including making one of smoker exploded and 7 hulks are dead.

It seems that Dickers have improved themselves on time as the previous encounter is that when they are being enraged, there is reduction of man confidence level drop by 20%, now it is the same, but on top of that a add-on debuff of negative 5% of overall stats which is more devastating, making dickers on rage way more scary than normal ones.

Notice 90% of ectoparasites like example mosquitos, ticks have died, overall stats of the targets have recovered 45% of its stats.

Well, the insects continue to swarm the zombies, a small group of them are starting the survivors.

Some insects like mosquitos bite survivors which give the survivors many different debuffs like reduce defence, reduce attack and etc.

Zombies start to kill those insects better due to a smoker are killed and exploded and kill most of the insects in the blast area. Some hulks start to charge forward in a formation which kills anyone in their way. Dickers use their triple dick shots to clear any pest in their range.

In the later 2 turns, pests continue to swarm the zombies out of nowhere, but the numbers are getting smaller in each turn, as the zombies manage to clear most of the pests. Survivors manage to advance forward and cleared the 1st wall of zombies and end up fighting with the pests. Antitoxin pills are used often as pests normally attack survivors with debuffs.

Suddenly, the pests have swarmed behind our ranks and attacking our rear rows, which I am at.

Shocked or shiock? (1) I really do not know how to react, but I already have my gun ready for pests to have a good time of spraying. The pests did kill off some survivors who are not so well equipped.

I continue to shoot and shouted while the other turn their backs to attack the flanking enemies.

"Front rows continue to attack, kill off those pests"

Of course, some people really have to turn their back. to see what is wrong with rear rows

A lot of the survivors get attacked while having their backs turned at the same time.

WOW cool, survivors are so good, told them not to turn their backs and they turn it for fun. That is great. now it is - 20% attack and -30% defence for everyone, it makes everyone look like they are totally defenceless.

I continue to shoot these bugs or pests...

Now I am getting flanked by these pests and allies are getting distracted for no good reason. This is getting more fun. I want to turn my back to help those survivors but I cant as now the bugs are flanking my rear.

After 6 turns of non-stop clearing, my gun is releasing smoke as the gunpowder smell are all over the place where I fired. The pests are finally cleared. As we turn our backs back to the front row/ line.

There is a 3 side battle which consists small group of survivors left which is around 8 to 10 people who are scattering around, 30 plus lizards and 10 groups of insects, a small group of zombies, 1 smoker, 3 dickers and 6 hulks.

I run toward the insects and shoot them while some from the rear start moving forward by following me, barely manage to kill 8 groups of insects as they are small and agile which enable them to dodge normal attacks at ease.

At the same time, the zombies manage to kill 6 survivors and a few lizards, and the smoker finally exploded kill all the survivors and even more pests along. In the end, 6 lizards survived it also it heavy injured all of their hulks and killed another 3 of them.

The zombies again being enraged. The pest debuff weakens itself again. Some of the hulks have died in my fire. As lizards and hulks are so heavily damaged that they could not move properly. The rear line survivors, in the end, managed to kill all of them despite having a tough time killing of the hulks and having half of the rear died due to their counterattacks.

After 5 hours of non-stop clearing, we finally clear the whole building, now it is around 1 am

Finally, my safe zone has occupied the whole building which consists of many small apartments that people called it flats, condos and etc. Whatever they name it, it is just a small apartment for people to live in.

Basically, my safe area building is the so-called trap in between other building like mine, there is a food court nearby, a trashed apartment right in front of my building that why we can see what they are doing. A bit further is another block of the building. Behind my building, there is another same size building, furthermore than that is a straight road.

I just stop at there, now it is time to defend against the unknown enemies on the 1st floor, I set up the newly patrol sentry bot and send everyone back to rest. As it is too tiring to care, I and my family all go back to the room to have a sleep first.
