The silence of her surrounding, chilling her body. Everyone is already went home for rest. But her, she continues her work. It is very late, almost midnight, she is still inside the company.
Now that her work is done, she must turn off the computer properly. After that, she stretched her body, she’s been focusing on her work. Probably her eyesight have gotten worse. She stood up and clean everything on the surface of her desk.
After that she went outside the office, and went walking on the hallway. Silence remains, but her footsteps are echoing even above floor. She walk upstairs, she believe that the CEO is still there even at this time.
The CEO’s office is located on the very top floor. He is a guy who also overwork, it’s only normal for him to work that much since he is the CEO. Piles of papers stacked together, his expensive looking laptop is what he usually use during work, and other than that he is more focused on his work than the girl who is still inside the company.
Both are workaholic, no one can beat them.
As the girl reached the upstair, suddenly, she heard a loud voice. She was flabbergasted and almost fell down. Her head might have gotten injured if that really happens.
And she wonders, what was that loud voice is about? Sounds like the CEO is having a hard time dealing with his work this time, and it is rare for the girl to encounter him with that kind of side of him.
That voice is very loud which even made the birds from outside to be surprised and took a flight. It also echoed down floors.
When she walk on the hallway on the top floor, she saw the CEO’s office. As expected, the light is still on.

“But why the door is opened?”
The girl wondered about it and assumed that he might have been forgotten to close it because he is way too focused.
Now that she is calm after being surprised, she approached the door, and opened it widely and said…
“Excuse me… Sir?”
Instead of a response from him, she saw a person who is wearing a black coat, black pants, black shoes, and covered his hands with black gloves.
Girl’s thought “Who the heck is this black guy?”
As soon as the girl uttered, the guy immediately turn around and looked at her.
The girl saw his face… But partially. He is also wearing black mask.
Girl’s thought “Does he like to wear black clothings?”
Judging from his appearance, he might be an employee here because his coat has a logo of their company in it.
But what is this guy doing here?
The girl greet the guy with a smile “Good evening sir.”
Since the girl came here for CEO, she tilted body in right side, then she saw the CEO.
His eyes were closed, leaning on his chair, and sleeping in an unusual position.
She wonders that perhaps, the loud voice was just a yawn? But that can’t be the right guess.
The girl stepped one time on the right side and walk forward to see the CEO closer.
As soon as she saw the CEO, the girl dropped her bag, her eyes widen, her body stiffen and shaking. The girl was completely shocked.
The CEO was stabbed. Seeing as the blood drips continuously, the CEO might be already dead as soon as the girl went inside the office.

While she is shivering from fear, she asked to the black guy “A… a… are… yu.. you the one… who stab him?”

The guy did not respond, but immediately pulled the knife from the CEO’s chest.
After that, he turned around and aimed at the girl with his arms extended and holding a knife pointing at the girl, knowing that she just witnessed an ongoing scene.
He charged, and in a flash… The girl didn’t have a chance to run away because she can’t move her body anymore.
As a result, the girl was as well stabbed on the chest.
Her view getting blur and darkens, before she died, the culprit went outside the office as his job of killing a person is done.
The girl should not have been murdered if she did not witness his doing.

8 hours later…
On the news, 2 people were murdered inside the CEO’s office in the Well-known Game Development Company.
--
That ends her life.
May Sanchez died at the age of 29.

It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.
