Akilah dodged another one of his attacks by jumping backwards, still facing her opponent though. Akilah figure that she couldn't go on the defensive any longer, having her opponents fighting strategies she finally decided to go on the offensive and fight back.
“It’s true” Akilah spoke up “I did beat up those lousy good for nothing soldiers”
“He finally speaks” the man replied, “What happened tired of avoiding my attacks so you decided to now talk your way through it?” He said and slammed his fits against the palm of his hand “Well that’s not gonna work kid, the only way your leave this fight is through a body bag”
“I didn’t come here to fight. I came here to hand myself over in exchange for information” Akilah said not yielding from her stance.
“I don’t think you understand the predicament you’re in kid! You’re not in a situation to be making deal!” he said with the anger in his voice.
Akilah chuckled “No old man, I don’t think you understand the situation at hand” she said and looked at him. She could see the anger in his eyes but also the tiredness, she had sufficiently drained him of his energy “and now the finishing touches” she thought as she preferred herself for yet another attack.
However, this time instead of jumping away she crouched down, with the lower part of her back touching the ground and her one of her legs up and lifted, peppering for a kick. Right before her leg touched him Akilah whispered “Amplio”, a spell that amplifies any action or object the caster wishes, in this case Akilah used it to amplify the impact of her kick.
To Akilah’s delight the spell worked perfectly, as soon as her foot touched him the man flew several feet up in the air, before making a painful landing on his back. Akilah could feel the shift in atmosphere, moments ago everyone was watching the fight in delight, figuring it would have a obvious outcome. Now however the atmosphere is stiff everyone is looking at the fight in shock and terror seeing their leader get kicked and beaten to the ground by a kid half his size.

“So do you believe me now” Akilah said while stretching out her leg “or do you need more convincing” she said but did not allow him to answer before she pounced on him. As he had had the air knocked out of him, he has not yet regained enough energy to get up which made this the best time to hit him again. Akilah jumped towards him landing with one foot on his stomach, knowing that this could have lethal consequences Akilah decided to town down the amplification of her attack, making it a painful but not deadly attack.
As soon as she made contact with him, he choked up blood and that’s when she knew that she had played around enough with him, now it was time for business.
She knelt down one leg down in order to get close to his ear and whispered “I told you old man, I’m you guy. Now unless you want to visit deaths door, I suggest you let that grandpa go and we have nice chat instead”

A Titan's Crusade
Erik Thayne spent most of his life being brutally ridiculed and tormented for his weight and physical appearance, among other things. A social pariah and diagnosed with an eating disorder no one has an explanation or treatment for, Erik spent years trying to overcome his issues with his personal image and escape the ridicule and vicious torment of his peers. After years of dedicated effort, and a fresh start in a town away from his childhood and adolescent tormentors, he had finally begun to truly realize what he'd been striving for all along. Only, fate apparently has other plans because in the blink of an eye, Erik found himself snatched from Earth and taken to another universe, another world, where he is offered the chance to be more than he'd ever imagined. Now, he has to fight to restore the Balance between Chaos and Order on a world of swords and magic, in a universe governed by the System's laws, which resemble those of RPGs from Earth. Erik learned to embrace the things about himself that others taught him to hate, using them to reforge his physical identity into something more removed from his old self-loathing. But can he learn to embrace the darkest parts of his mind just as he did the reviled aspects of his body and become who he needs to be to succeed in the task set before him? It might just prove easier to stalk in the dark as a monster than to walk in the light as a man... *This is my first time publishing anything I've written to a public audience. Due to formatting issues, I forwent traditional stat-screens for something a little less problematic, delineating stat screens by separating them from regular text with horizontal lines in a lighter-grey coloration. Let me know if you like them or not. Criticism is entirely welcome, but please don't hate on my work after only reading 1 chapter. This is a writing project I intend to complete but I have committment problems so we'll see how long this goes on. Also, fair warning, as the description implies, the main protagonist is intended to be someone who has been treated cruelly, developed antisocial tendencies, and ultimately has to question his own humanity--or lack thereof. This story is not intended to be brutally dark but I will definitely be trying to follow a darker theme. It is intended to be violent and some scenes later in the story might be...alarming. There will likely also be some light, non-graphic (think more implied with crude jokes and conversation than actual details, there will be no full-blown sex scenes)relationship scenes planned later and if you're opposed to either a bisexual or gay main character, stay away. I haven't yet decided which way he's going to swing but the odds on him being straight are relatively miniscule, and I've always wanted to write a story about a gay man who basically looks like a lumberjack because who doesn't like giving conventional stereo-types the middle finger? This will NOT be a harem story, and I have no intention to focus on romance over action--it's a consequence of character development where I'm concerned, not the be-all-end-all of the story. The cover-art does not, in any way, belong to me. It was an image titled the Druid King (by duskanmarkovic according to the file name) which I found on Google Images. Until I can get something commissioned, this is the best stand-in image I could find.

Delve
Truth hides behind action. Delve. A word with many meanings. It may refer to an abyss, a dark place of no return or may also be a refuge, a haven of retreat from the harshness of the outside. None of those are right to me. For me, to delve is to seek the truth. Delving into that dark abyss and coming back with answers. To leave that safe refuge and suffer the pain of the outside just because it is real. This is the story of me delving deep into the truths of the universe. Suffering things that should not be suffered in search of things that should not be known. Once a common man, drowned in the same questions that have plagued humanity since the beginning of times, now I have found my answers. Now I have meaning. Delve, and you shall have yours as well. Jack is a regular citizen of modern society: he works on an office, uses public transport every day, receives a meager salary, and drowns his frustrations with entertainment and alcohol. Maybe, the only thing that sets him apart from many others, is his unique outlook on life. Despite feeling an unfillable void in his soul and suffering from deep depression, he still sees as his duty to be a functional, exemplary member of society. All in order to prove his life-goal point: no matter how good you are, life is still shit. This point-of-view, however, will be challenged by circumstances as a mysterious encounter with a weirdly dressed man takes him to a strange and dark cave. In this place, he will have to fight for his life against fantastical creatures from fiction, and more importantly, get face to face with his own nature. In doing so, he will uncover secrets about the cave that will change both him and all he ever thought to be true.
