《A Fool's Wish》Chapter 5 Page 4 - Headquarters

Akilah had undone the rest of the soldiers’ spells and given them the same one as Flo. She had commanded them to lead her to their headquarters, which she found out was an old fortress in the outskirts of town.
Once she had reached their headquarters, she broke the spells on the soldiers, leaving them with only the memories that Akilah had implanted into their heads. She had still left Flo under her spell as she needed him for her plan to work out. Arriving at the entrance Akilah called out for Flo and told him her orders, he then went over to inform the gatekeepers of their arrival. After a while of talking and side glances from the gatekeepers at Akilah the doors to the fortress opened up. When entering the fortress Akilah could feel the sharp glares she was receiving from the crowd of soldier that had begun to gather.
A tall and burly man strode up towards Flo, he was a hulking giant of a man standing at least one foot taller than Flo and bore an intimidating facial expression.
The man talked to Flo for a while before turning his attention towards Akilah. He walked towards her; she could feel the ground vibrating with each step he took.
‘Scary’ Akilah thought to herself ‘but he’ll definitely help prove my point’.
“So” the man said in a deep gravelly voice, while stopping in front of Akilah, towering over her.
“My unit captain is telling me that you’re responsible for what happened to my soldiers” he said and scoffed.
“Now you see, normally, if anyone else told me that a weak and frail boy like yourself had beat up my soldiers I would have laughed at their face, deemed them insane and stripped them of their rank.” He said as he pulled his shoulders back stretching them out.

“But you see Flo is one of my most trusted unit captains, so I can’t really do that with him…You understand” He said and locked eyes with Akilah.
She instantly knew what he was going to do and leapt out of the way from his punch. ‘A powerful punch’ she thought ‘had that hit me it would have broken several of my ribs’. Seeing as Akilah had not casted a protection spell on herself blocking out the impact of any attacks she was left with relying on defensive combat techniques. However Akilah had implemented the same training regimen as her henchman days and therefore was able to build up her body to become very agile and quick on her feet. And since her last encounter with the soldiers Akilah had also developed some quick combat magic techniques, ones that she could use in combat without fear of detection.
“Impressive…You managed to doge my attack” the man said “You’re quick I’ll give you that kid but are you strong though” he said as he lounged forwards for another punched, that Akilah managed to doge leaving her with her back against a wooden training dummy
“What happened kid, you came in here having convinced my unit captain that you had beat up my soldiers, are you just gonna run away now?!?” He bellowed.
His voice piercing Akilah’s ears ‘even his voice is powerful’ Akilah thought to herself ‘I did right by going on the defensive’.
The man came at her with full force again this time attacking her with a kick, Akilah managed to doge yet again, but the training dummy was shattered at the point of impact. Akilah had leapt over him, leaving her now facing his back. The man turned to her; anger spread across his face. Akilah knew that she couldn’t keep avoiding his attack, she needed to make an onslaught of attacks on him, repeatedly hitting him with magically boosted attacks. But she needed to wear him out before that; make his anger rise and his precisions fall, that way she would find an opening.
