“I heard you were looking for me” Akilah said as she stepped forwards from the woods surrounding Rae and Etila’s house, wearing the same disguise she had worn the day she fought the soldiers.

The guards turned their head around facing Akilah, looking at her as if she were insane.

One of the guards spoke up “What the hell are you talking about? Piss-of kid!”

“I said” Akilah spoke up while walking towards them “I heard you rats were looking for me”

The guards now looked visible annoyed at Akilah provocation.

“What did he say” one of the guards asked the other one

“I think he asked for a beating” the other one replied.

“So, you wanna play it that way, okay then, let's play” Akilah said and rushed forward towards one of that guards.

By the looks of it Akilah could tell that they weren’t highly trained soldiers, in fact she suspected that they were new recruits that wouldn’t put up much of a fight. Before either one of them had any time to realize what was happening Akilah was behind one of the guards, she sliced both of his legs from behind, right above the knee joint, as to make him kneel down, then pulled his head back by his hair and pressed a knife to his throat. Akilah wasn’t planning on dragging it out the fighting, as this all felt like a hassle for her, she wanted to end this as quickly as possible. The other guard just stood looking towards Akilah in bewilderment, as he couldn’t believe what just happened. While the other one was wincing in pain while trying to get out of Akilah grip, however Akilah had her foot pressing on one of the wounds on his legs.

“Now you” Akilah spoke up while looking at the other guard “Go and call for your leader before I lose my patience and” she said while pressing the knife harder on guard throat “before he loses his head”.

The guard standing scowled at Akilah “You bastard, what makes you think-”

*stab*

Before he could finish his sentence, Akilah had stabbed the guard in his left shoulder and the guard let out a scream.

“Don’t make me repeat myself” Akilah said while slightly turning the knife, still in the guard’s shoulder, the guards let out another scream “Go. Call. For. You. Leader.” she stated.

The guard faltered for a second, it seems liked he wanted to attack Akilah but didn’t want to risk his comrade getting more hurt. Nevertheless he quickly gripped his swords and was getting read to attack until the other guard sounded off.

“Please just go do as she says Jhal…My legs…I can’t...”

“You heard what you precious comrade said right, he’s in agony. Are you gonna prolong his pain by wasting time and fighting me or are you gonna do as I say?” Akilah said with a sense of arrogance.

The guard looked at Akilah and the back at his wounded comrade in her grip, his face drowned in hesitation and doubt, feeling like he had no others option he dropped his sword and faced Akilah.

“You’ll pay for this" and with that he turned around and ran to get his commander.
