Adara needed more time than Akilah had originally thought. It was difficult for her to suddenly leave everything behind. After Akilah had given her a time frame of five years, Adara took her time to process everything.
Adara told Akilah that she needed time to make all the necessary preparation for their move and bid farewell to everyone. Akilah decided to used that time to exercise her magic and memorize the things around her in case she needed to summon anything after they've moved away.
Meanwhile Adara had taken the time to mentally prepare herself for the move. She had along with Akilah gone to their parents and grandma Imala grave and bid them farewell. Adara cried and Akilah was by her side comforting her.
Adara also wanted to say goodbye to their neighbor Freya, who had always been kind and considerate towards them. Akilah was hesitant towards this idea since she didn't want anyone to know about them moving. However, Adara eventually persuade her into it saying that they are not telling her where they're moving to, just that they are moving.
Days came and went by and it was finally time for Akilah and Adara to move. Adara had expressed concern regarding how stable and strong Akilah magical abilities were but Akilah had managed to convince her that I would be alright.
“So... How does this work?” Adara asked concerned as Akilah was going around her drawing a large circle around Adara and their baggage.
Akilah looked over at Adara that was visibly nervous “No worries, it's just a little magic. You stand in the circle; I do a little chant and then bibbity bobbity boo we move”
“Bibbi Bobby what??” Adara asked looked at her bewildered.
Akilah laughed softy “It's fine, I've done this a thousand times before”

“Thousands...Honestly Aki be serious!” Adara replied annoyed.
“I am” Akilah said while finishing the circle. “Now please just trust me and stay still.”
Although Akilah was putting on a brave face in front of Adara, truth be told she was a bit nervous. This was going to be the first time since Akilah had returned to her world, that she had to use the travel spell with another person, and that person is Adara, which made her even more nervous.
However, Akilah had practiced the spell a few times before while waiting for Adara to finish her preparations. She had traveled very short distances by herself, then with items and even animals. However, being nervous while using magic was never a good combination, because if anything goes wrong Adara's body parts can go missing. Akilah had left that part out when she had told Adara about the spell, not wanting her to get more anxious.
Akilah looked at Adara “Ready?”
“Ready as I'll ever be” she replied still sounding concerned.
“Okay, brace yourself”
Akilah said and extended her hand for Adara to hold. Adara grabbed her hand and Akilah smiled at her and spoke.
“Nŏvo”
Suddenly the circle around them illuminated with a bright glow, sparks started flying around them. Adara closed her eyes squeezed Akilah hand harder. The sparks disappeared slowly and light faded away, Akilah tapped Adara's shoulder.
“Open your eyes Adara, we've arrived”

Deviant's Masquerade: The Huntsman's Quest (An Urban Magic Quest/RPG)
Jon Whitaker went to summer camp expecting a nice relaxing time as a newly minted counselor in training. He was not expecting to fight an army of monsters, work with a serial killer, enter a one-sided friendship with an eldritch horror, or study under a competing witch and dark lord. But regardless of what he was expecting, his summer is over and he's made his way back home where he can try and return to a normal -for him- life. Too bad life rarely goes as expected. --- Please Note: This is forum quest/RPG I run in the same city/setting as my other stories Hacking Reality and Get Ink'd, meaning that while a majority of the plot is made up by me, the major choices as well as what each chapter is about are usually made by the actual readers in forum votes. Additionally, given how this is essentially a story version of a Tabletop game there is also a background RPG system that while the characters aren't necessarily aware of, the readers can see these stats to know how each chosen 'Action' effects their character's development.
