In a castle, on a hill, there was a king. The castle was surrounded by the ruins of what use to be the seat of a great empire. The king sat on a golden throne in the main tower surrounded by his Companions, and at his feet where the the leaders of the empire bowing to him. The king then spoke, and simultaneously all the heads of the leaders fell from there bodies and 10 figures filed into the room and removed the heads covering the bodies with a black substance recreated from there mouths, and the bodies where no more. The king then thought back on the past 5 years of gathering notoriety and making the army that now served as his main fighting and police force.

“David!” showed one of the prisoners he was in the midst of defending from the bandits that captured them, tying to warn him of the incoming blade that aimed to separate his head from his shoulders. With speed defied what should be possible of a human, David spun and shattered the incoming blade with his own, going on to slice the attacker in half. Making short work of the others in a similar manner of extreme power he freed the prisoners escorting them back to the city. Seeing his work was done David made his way to the guild in order to turn in the quest. opening the front doors, he heard groans and laughter from the other adventurers who started betting how long it would take to complete all the quests on the board where they took jobs. It took only 3 days to turn in all 500 quests some of witch took months to get to with the fastest of steeds. David knew he could do it in a day tops but he wanted to make there game interesting, making his way to the desk he placed the last paper on a stack a foot tall and telling the elf stating there to put the funds in his account. There was much bickering over money the next hour by the other adventurers, much to the amusement of David who sat taking a break on one of the many seats in the common area. The game was played once a month by David who found it depressing that this would be over in a year once he took the empire as his own. He would want to take time off in the future and new he would be spending his time questing as an adventurer. David still remembered when the game was invented.

As David thought about what his first quest would be a party of adventurers where encouraging the newest of there party to go and talk him. "Common man! go talk to him." to witch the young man then said "Fine fine, sense you won't ever shut up about it if I don't." the young man then made his way towards David and asked "Sir would you like help finding a suitable quest?"
"Yes, in fact. I would. Need help finding a quest of suitable difficulty, these all seem to easy."
"Really? well that is to be expected from the only X rank. Well if your so skilled why don't you just take all of them at the same time?"
"Good Idea!"
"What really?" the boy only meant it as a joke but regained his composer as his fends made there way over as they had been listing in on there conversation "Well sir we couldn't help but overhear you, and we would like it if you let us time you?"
"Do as you will"
"Thank you sir! EVERYONE! The X rank is going to take all the quests who wants to bet on how long it will take him?" and thus the game began.

The King then thought on the Army he made over the corse of a week.

"I have decided that I will make an army that will act as the police and fighting force. My empire will span universes and dementions so we will need to keep everything in check." Explained David to his companions. "Thus I release you to do as you wish for a time, whale I make the army." They all agreed that he would need privacy. And thus died the deeds that gave them there titles, but that is for another time. David then willed himself to his realm that was stored in his ring. The realm would have another section that was to be used as a machine with the purpice of mass producing weapons, armor, and food, everything an army of countless soldiers would need, this took half of the section the other would be a facility that would create his soldiers. But first he had to create the first of the creatures that made his future army. They where based off of the Minotaur, a bulls head and hooves with a mans torso and arms, but these creatures where different as they were equipped with impenetrable armor, Plasma blades, Plasma cannons hidden in a robotic left arm, grenades that destroyed matter within a 5 meeter radius, scanners of all sorts, missiles, and black saliva that is so acidic it could eat through almost anything helping them eat there enemies. He made different units that where different sizes one the side of a tank that welds a massive plasma cannon that turned into arms and missile launchers. Thousands, Millions, Billions of these creatures where made so many intact that David had to make another section that held nothing but one massive building that when hundreds of floors high and Billions of floors underground where all the beasts where to be stored. Hear they would never tier and never hunger, until they where relived unto the battle field.

Then there was the battle he had just won, an uninteresting one to say the least.

"I'm sending each of you with a force of 10,000 to take the main cities and then report back to be hear." The companions agreed and set off whale David sent his force of 10,000 beasts to take the main city. all he needed to do was show that he was the one calling the shots and made his way to the throne room where he sat and waited for his companions and the beasts to move all the citizens to a camp he set up. As David waited he smiled thinking of the many future takeovers he would make come to fruition, all starting with this one.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.

White Mage in Another World [Pre-Redux]
[This is the old version of the story before my drastic rewrite. it still has mostly the same plot and some of the characters are the same, but almost everything else is different. If you are really curious you can read this version but its barely worth reading in my opinion.] A young woman named Andromeda is taken from her world to another filled with fantasy and magic. She finds that she can use "Medical" type magic and becomes a white mage.
