David didn't even take 10 steps into the forest before he was attacked, by a bunny. At first he thought it comical but then the bunny turned into a blur of fluffiness going right for his chest, knocking off his extremely heavy armor. looking at his stats he saw the bunny took 10 health before [true heal] kicked in healing him completely. 'If theres anything I'v learned over my lifetime its to not underestimate my enemy even if I'm stronger.' David thought as he drew his Great Sword and got ready for a mother attack, he was nt disappointed as he saw another blur hurl award his head. David song his sword to block and herd a *Slice* followed by a *splat* from behind him as the bisected body of the rabbit landed 10 feet away, carried by his speed. 'well, that was easy.' thought David as he inspected his blades edge, no blood, it was very very sharp. 'theres no use standing hear like an idiot. Experience' suddenly a screen showed itself showing his progress to the next level.

'hu, didn't think it would give that much. I need to draw in more, but first i need a good AOE spell incase there are to many.' Then a voice spoke in his mind.
"Command Accepted: searching for spell with specified perimeters... Spells found, Listing in terms of power: Astral Storm, Devine Fire Storm, Infernal Fire storm...
'Well the first one seems good, I'll take Astral Storm please.'
"Command Accepted: Uploading Knowledge..." David felt the pain of having information forced into his brain, but it wasn't nearly as intense as before. Grunting in pain he herd "Upload Complete. New Skills learnt."
'NEW SKILLS!' Thought David as he opened the skill descriptions.

'Useful' David thought as he prepared to issue his challenge to the forest in the form of a war cry thinking 'come get me'. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRR." Frightened birds flew off as his war cry echoed into the distance. He listened. Silence. Silence. Then the ground started to shake as thousands of footsteps sounded, running towards him. getting ready with his new spell and sword he suddenly heard, "New Skill Learned" quickly opening the description as the rumbling grew he saw.
War Cry [MAX]
A cry of battle issuing a challenge to all who hear it.

"Good get all bunched up." David spoke in a malicious manner as his facial features wit lupine. Suddenly beasts burst through the trees fully intent on tearing him to shreds, then the dance of death began. David song his blade wildly severing heads and limbs wherever foe's where, he was a hurricane of steal and death. Explosions of rainbow light went off in all directions when he activated Astral Storm repeatedly. After what seemed hours the fighting stopped and David stood on a mountain of bodies composed of Wolfs, Rabbits, lizards, and dragons of all shapes and sizes. David was drenched in blood,'a King of battle' he thought 'on a throne of skulls'.He looked at the wasteland that surrounded him, and smiled.

Runicka: Tournament of Monsters (A GameLit Card Game Fantasy)
The runes are changing, and with it, the game itself changes. Taygion Ardwella finds himself stranded, alone, and on the run from some very determined guards who claim Tay's stolen from them. They're right, but that shouldn't mean Tay has to give back what he took. He's only been in Stormwall for a week and already, he's earning the ire of the most powerful and notorious House that controls the city's underground. And when their scion challenges Tay to a duel of cards, Tay will find himself thrust into a game of sorcery and strategy as he attempts to both find a way out of this mess and find his own way in the world. To do both, he'll need to learn to accept guidance and coaching where it's sorely needed, craft a deck of unimaginable power, and not die whenever his opponents try and cheat him out of a hard-earn victory. But not all is as it seems in the shadows of Stormwall, and if Tay can figure out the importance of what it is he's stolen, he may just have a chance at saving the game of Runicka. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Runicka: Tournament of Monsters is a high fantasy, card game-based adventure novel with enough magic, worldbuilding, and characters to fill a Sanderson series. I would consider it a part of the GameLit subgenre. This series in particular is not an isekai, and will start and end in a high fantasy setting complete with its own lore and backstory. It is a progression fantasy, and I am writing it inspired by all the Yu-Gi-Oh mangas/animes, and all the hours I've invested/wasted (depending on who you ask) playing TCGs like Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a work in progress. In your journey through Stormwall alongside Tay, you'll probably find typos, grammatical errors, and maybe a confusing sentence every once in a while (although I hope to keep these to a minimum). That said, comments and suggestions on where I can improve are not only encouraged but greatly appreciated. And finally, expect new chapters every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~**Currently on a small hiatus. I have a bit of a workplace crisis going on. I'm still writing, but I don't have time to polish and publish. Chapters will return on a regular basis soon though!!**

The Dark Star Sings
Protected by powerful mages and soldiers, the citizens of the Antarian empire don't ever wonder what monsters lurk just past the shadows. One such species, the demons, exist solely to feast on humanity. Heralded by shifts in the stars, they twist the minds of their prey and savor the emotions laced into their flesh. No walls keep them at bay; no blade pierces their flesh, and no spells singe their skin.A single, strange, man named Valerian specialized in hunting demons. He travelled across the continent-spanning empire, purifying them as he went for many years, perpetually shadowed by a young boy named Aidan. The child did not care about saving people. Valerian was just all he had left. But then one day, Aidan held Valerian's hand for the last time. Six months later, with the hands of time soon closing the curtain upon him, Aidan found himself pondering Valerian's parting words as a girl riddled with scars stood before him, glaring at him with the same eyes he once possessed. She was the dark star, the plague child, the bringer of the end. The grandest demon of all. Aidan took a deep breath. "I want to save you."

Lost Things
"In this disordered continent, where everyone seeks to be the heroes of their own tales, there are still some rooms for smaller stories to breathe." "Past, present, and future—keep your eyes open, and see where they lead you to." This story follows three housemates’ lives: Carson Calding, Virgil Barion, and John Salore—onto their adventures of finding Carson’s past, Virgil’s present, and John’s future. Despite their clashing backgrounds and circumstances that forced them together, they’re definitely going to find the things they had lost, for sure. Each entire chapter will be updated biweekly. There'll be three smaller parts per each chapter. Note that this story was written to be an interactive one, with polls at the end of each parts deciding on what happens next. Though, the polls for this story won't be available on Royal Road updates. (I also upload this in Arcane Odyssey forum, and it's currently the only place where I open the polls and use the poll results from.)
