《I Live To Play VR-MMORPG》Chapter 16

Putting my life problem asides, no matter what I still can't forget this goal of mine.
Immersive VR-MMORPG.
To achieve that there are important stages that technology has to achieve before it could be turned into a reality.
The first stage was to create Artificial Intelligence capable of mimicking human emotions and actions.
In other words, what we needed here wasn't normal Artificial Intelligence, what we need is AI that capable of imitating human behaviors.
This stage was the easiest to achieve as I have the program needed in my head already.
The only problem with this stage is that it's time-consuming.
The reason was simple, for an AI to make one human expression, it needs to be fed with a large amount of data, understanding why humans make this expression, when or how, etc.
In other words, Deep Learning because obviously there will be more than a thousand data involved.
Not only that, but I also have to find a way to obtain the data needed.
The prerequisites to the data are that the fact each behavior came from more than one human.
The AI has to be capable of generating multiple human characters at the same time.
The solutions to this problem, there's no other way around.
I can only think of a way to shorten the process, by building a more efficient computer so it can process and feed the AI more information at the same time.
And yet again, to achieve that right now is impossible and out of all available solutions I have in mind, this solution was the viable one.
With my current condition, I can't do things properly with this outdated computer.
Only after James finally send me his bank account number, I can start my project to make a supercomputer.
Being said all of that, I can only write the codes in notepad and after I finally created the supercomputer, I only needed to copy the line of codes over to Anonymous Shell.
Hearing the familiar sound of the motorcycle being parked in front of the store, I knew that it was Father.
I only wrote a few lines of code and Father was back already.
Before Father could ring the doorbell, I went to open the door for him.
"What happened? You look very tired."
"Nothing. I'm just tired after arguing with my boss."
An argue?
"Well, it's more like competing to work."
"For some reason, he just starting to- Ah, nevermind. It's not a bad thing, you shouldn't worry."
Since Father said so, I shouldn't ask too much.
"I bought Chicken Soup and Fried Rice. You should eat now before they get cold."
"Shouldn't we wait for Mervin?"
"It's fine, he went over to my workplace and told me we should eat without waiting for him."

"Okay then."
I managed to only write thirty lines of codes but it's better than nothing. I then closed the computer and went upstairs to eat my dinner without waiting for Mervin as per Father's request.
After eating I went back downstairs to continue to write the program, at the same time it's to open the door for Mervin.
"Huh? Andy?"
"Why are you here? Do you realize what time was it now? Go to sleep!"
Bam*
Mervin smacked me on the head with his fist.
-----
The next morning, everything was normal, I was called by Mervin, I took a bath and then eat and lastly, I went to school.
The school was also normal and boring as usual.
Mainly, because the students wanted to go home early as starting from tomorrow the holiday for Chinese new years starts.
If I want to mention something unusual, it would be about Micheal's Mother.
For whatever reason, his mother arrived as soon as the school was over.
Micheal was shocked too, seeing her mother arriving earlier than before. He didn't get to chat and play with me for a bit longer.
Though while I said that, the unusual incident only applies to Micheal's mother.
Most of the students' parents have arrived early, waiting outside before the school ends.
Asian parents...
For example, Yulia's mother. She was already waiting at the school's gateway before the school ends.
That's the main reason both me and Micheal didn't have the opportunity to talk to Yulia after the school was over.
Anyway, now I'm alone.
I should go back.
-----
[Convenience Store]
Hm? Old Man is back to sleep?
I said that because recently he wouldn't do that anymore, all because of Hero.
Now seeing him taking a nap on the cashier counter, it's unusual of him.
But when I saw the notes that were scrambled on the floor, I finally understood why Old Man was sleeping.
I picked up the notes on the floor, using the notes, I slapped his head with it.
Slap*
"Hm?"
"Oi, Old Man! Wake up. What's wrong with you today?"
"Give me another minute..."
Slap*
"Ow! stop it!"
"Ehem, How much have you progressed? How much did you read?"
Hearing my questions, Old Man that wanted to berate me for hitting him suddenly averted his eyes, avoiding my gaze and pretend to look at the scenery outside.
'This is definitely not a good sign.'
"Just tell me what's wrong? Which part you don't understand? I'll explain it to you."
When Old Man heard that I will be helping him, he finally turned around to look at me. He then shamelessly said. "Everything!"
"..."
Everything!?! Did he even read the notes I gave him? He has studied math before right?
"What do you mean by everything?! Did you even read the notes I gave you?"
"Of course! Do you see these eyebags?"
Old Man pointed to the black circle under his eyes. It proved that he tried to read the notes and probably because of that he didn't enough sleep.
"Sigh... Alright, I'll explain to you from the beginning."
"First is this. You should be able to understand this part right?"
"Which part? Oh... this... I don't understand."
"Do this question. Try to convert binary to hexadecimal for me. Let me see what you did..."
...
...
...
Phew*
It turned out to be fine, he was just not sure about some parts and misinterpret the meaning of the words I have written.
"So, Why am I learning this?"
"It's the most basic knowledge and the most important out of all is to exercise your brain. Either way, they're useful, just bear with dealing mathematics for a while. After this, I'll teach you some coding."
Enjoy this while you can, later on. Later on, you'll suffer even more.
There's still calculus that Old Man haven't met. That's the final boss.
I didn't say those out loud, but at the same time I was unconsciously giving out terrifying aura.
Thankfully, Old Man didn't notice my sadistic smile, as he was studying.
Leaving Old Man to study, at the garage. It's my turn to watch the store for him.
While there's no customer around, I opened my email to check on James.
I hope James has already got his Visa and permission to create a bank account.
Opening my Inbox, I found a letter from James attached inside.
-----
From James
It'll be a while before my Visa was finalized, but I did manage to create a bank account
The account number is XXXX XXXX XX. the pin is XXX XXX. from bank XX. Under my real name.
Inside the bank account put most of my leftover money and of course yours inside too]
-----
-----
Finally, with the bank account ready I can spend money on the internet!
With his first task finished, I can now ask him to do other things but first I need to ask if he has bought a house or not.
------
Have you bought a house?
If you did tell me your address as I'll be sending items over to your side.
-----
After I replied, I prepared myself to do some shopping on the internet.
The first thing I did was to buy a domain and web hosting service from a trusted host.
When the website finally created, I started working on the online version of Hero where players can finally interact with each other now.
Following that, I executed what I planned before which is allowing the player to spend money on the game.
It took me a while to set everything up.
After everything was arranged properly and the website is up, I need to promote the official website.
To do it, I have to rely on my audiences.
I can approach the advertisement company and ask them to promote Hero but that was unnecessary.
I'll leave that to James in the future as I don't want to involve in Hero anymore.
This is my last contribution to Hero.
I announced the news of the official website to all the platforms, including Newgrounds.
To persuade the players, I also added a reward for the one that plays on the official website.
There's also the fact that I added interesting features and contents.
If that's not enough to persuade them I don't know what will.
About the offline version of Hero, I'll just leave them as it is. I won't delete them as they are still generating income.
For now, all of these should keep the game alive for a few months.
That time should be enough for James hire someone capable enough to take over Hero.
Once he can manage everything on its own, I'll give Hero to him on the condition that he still has to follow what I told him to do.
Now that Hero's problem was resolved, I need to focus on making the supercomputer.
It has been a while already. James should have replied by now.
[Jalan XX RT XX RW XX, No X]
With James' house address obtained, I started to look for the component I needed to make a supercomputer.
Solder, Ohmmeter, bunch of resistors and capacitors, motherboard, RAM, SMD Crystals, wires.
Basically, everything that I deem useful, I'll buy it.
A total of over fifty thousand dollars was spent instantly just by buying the components I needed.
It'll be a while before they arrived in Indonesia, so I'll have to patiently wait again.
Sigh*
To think I'll have to wait more than a day for my product to arrive. Previously, not even an hour, the product will arrive delivered by a flying drone.
'What? Time passed so quickly?'
While I was so immersed shopping that I didn't pay attention to my surroundings for the whole time.
Did I really not notice?
Looking at the clock hanging behind me, I was relieved.
It was only 4 P.M and the store was closed already.
Old Man for some reason closed the store early without notifying me or maybe It's me the one didn't hear him?
After moving my body around a bit, stretching my body, I'm ready to go shopping again.
If James has known this, he wouldn't put all of his savings inside the bank account.
I'm not done spending money yet.
Fifty thousand worth of component definitely not enough.
Back to shopping!
