《Devour》(36) Chapter 4: A Monster?

After the Ancient finishes with his speech, Bm, Sierra, and the Ancient walk out of the arena and proceed straight to a private cabin to watch the fight.
In the middle of the arena:
"You will have my support, Ancient! It's an honor! Thank you for everything, and hope you enjoy today's show," The announcer declares like his talking for everybody in the Dome as he lets a ball go slowly float filled with magic to the center.
Watching the ball slowly floats in the air, everyone stares at it attentively and waits for it to burst.
Sun's dagger starts to shine like the sun in the sky, while Moon's dagger starts to produce thick black smoke like a moving shadow in the air. Jio observes the twins and studies the daggers' power; he notices that Sun's dagger contains light and fire magic while Moon's dagger is like the Dark One's demonic power but on a weaker and safer scale.
The ball floating in the air is a tradition from the day the Ancient arrived on this land and challenged all the clans controlling Sera Madre. The Ancient releases a ball of light, and as soon as the ball explodes, leaders of each clan fall, leaving the Ancient the winner.
Stories constantly change through the endless stream of time, for the beautiful lie or the painful truth which moves a person's soul.
Looking at the ball floating in the air, Jio did not expect it to be loud and with a paralyzing effect. Lowering his guard, the twins already made their move and had the upper hand.
Remembering what's going on, Jio looks around the arena and only sees Sun with his dagger, and Moon suddenly appears behind him as he blocks the razor-sharp blade with his left arm. To the twins' surprise, they immediately change tactics because the armor protecting Jio's body can not be taken lightly.

Jio uses his wings to fly, staring at the twins below, waiting for the twins' next move.
*I could finish the fight, but where is the fun in that?* Jio thought and hoped the twins would learn something today.
What perplexes Jio is how Moon got behind him so fast until he saw and felt their daggers' energy and understood what happened.
Moon's body melts to the shadows like smoke slowly sinking, becoming one with shadows inside the Dome while Sun ablaze from head to toe, shooting straight at Jio.
*SOUL POSSESSION! Have the twins already learned and mastered their weapons? Not bad!* Jio thought with admiration, but the twins must learn defeat and fear to get stronger in the future.
As a magician himself, Jio can pinpoint Moon's location among the shadows, and with Jon's ability to absorb magic and energy, Jio lets Sun land his attack. Using the power from Sun's dagger, Jio spreads his wings of fire, illuminating the arena like a phoenix, cleansing darkness all around.
Jio knows Moon will use his shadows to sneak from behind and attack, but now she's falling after Jio's shadow disappear. Looking at Sun in front of him, Jio clenches his fist tightly, striking Sun's stomach, and grabs him by the neck.
Jio throws Sun to Moon.
"If you want to defeat me, you two better think of something cause a simple trick like that won't work on me," Jio states and takes a Lightning Stones out.
From the viewers' perspective, Jio takes a Lightning Stone and starts eating, but in reality, he did everything for the show to entertain the crowd. Electricity begins to spark and make a cracking sound around Jio's body, like how Mickey uses his soul necklace.
"WHAT IN THE HELL! MISS GECKO's FRIEND CAN EAT MAGIC STONE?" The announcer announces while everyone focuses on Jio's body, waiting for any reaction or side effect to take place.

Nothing happened, but everyone could feel the Lightning Magic flowing in Jio's body.
Trying to grasp the situation and comprehend Jio's action, Jio disappears from the twins' sight only to witness Jio's figure right in front of them. A sharp and paralyzing pain instantly spread around their body, and they found themselves flying in the opposite direction.
*Let see what the twins will do next if they survive my attack and adapt* Jio thought while standing mighty in front of everyone as they cheered for him.
Jio launches himself to Moon and lands multiple untraceable punches while Sun tries to rush and help his twin sister only to see her unconscious in the ground while Jio looks at him. Sun tries not to blink, but his eyes can not follow Jio's speed and survey his surrounding while the cracking sound coming from Jio's body floods the arena.
Sun wanted to run, but his feet won't move, and he stood motionless, undergoing fear he had never experienced before, and Jio reappeared in front of him.
[DEATH]
In Sun's eyes, Jio appears to be bigger while looking down at him, and the snapping sound grows louder.
[DEATH]
Sun can not stop the inevitable.
Everyone watches the twins undergo all of this, and there's nothing they can do about it. The twins are like family to the Siera Madre's inhabitant, while Jio is unknown to everyone except for Bm.
The twins can't stand up, and one by one starts to protest Jio's action.
He should have taken the twins easy.
"This is not a Monster Way! But... We can't do anything about it..." The announcer announces with a hateful face written all over his face.
Jio ignored the boo's and thought. *Just like humans, and I understand. Bm told me to teach them a lesson... I'm not sure, but this should work*
Jio notices that the twins' body starts to adapt to his attack and waits for the twins to stand up and get their strength back to attempt to defeat him.
"Too slow," Jio lets out and takes healing pills for the twins.
Everyone watched Jio closely and approved his action until he started eating more magic stones, and everyone could imagine the impending horror.
While lightning and wind rush around Jio's body, he watches the twins recover with despair in their eyes and fear deep inside their hearts and head.
"You two disappoint me! Remember this! YOU FIGHT LIKE IT'S YOUR LAST!" Jio shouts and slowly walks around the arena.
The twins look at each other, and Jio senses their energy moving from their body to their weapon and converts that energy to magic. Jio remembers that his father, Mr. De Vil, once said that it's possible to fuse with someone, but it requires an unthinkable process and method to achieve such feat.
*The energy is powerful but unstable and unpredictable; this should be fun* Jio thought
The Dome starts to get covered with darkness and light simultaneously and gives the symbol of yin and yang where the twins are standing. Jio can interrupt the process, but it won't be fun, and it may put the twins in a life-threatening situation.
