"Yes O'Connell. I am the man who was found near your house last night. Aye Allan, I'm telling what's true." Turner spoke to O'Connell from his chair in trembling tone.
"You're trying to say you were the person who killed my mother last night? You were the one who almost choked the life out of me and – and – you saw me as a child? Child?" O'Connell wanted to get up from his chair but he could not so he started pulling the cuffs in hope of uprooting the planted chair.
"Saw you as Jesus. Yes, you're the same child whom I had tried to kill back then but failed for yours as well as mine own good." Turner said with scared expression, "I won't lie –"
"I am not Jesus and you fucking killed my –"
"I didn’t mean to shoot your mother. I had shot Payne, not her! And you wanted to know what was making you target of Aitóuntes since last evening? Because –"
"Because I'm Jesus? I can't be." He shrugged, sniffed and looked around. Then he returned to Turner, "Either you're insane of I am because I don’t know what happened to me as a child!" he snapped and stopped with a thought in his head in a second.
The thought was why he didn’t have any childhood memory. Listening to Turner had convinced him to think that perhaps Turner's blow was the only thing which had done massive memory damage. Doctors also had speculated the main and memory loss could have been result of a collision.
O'Connell recalled she used to tell him, "When you were about to turn ten, you disappeared somewhere for a week." She had told him he maybe was picked up from school by some goons to get enough money for doping. But she never had mentioned he had a head injury when he had returned back. She would have told him about the wound if he had returned home with it. As far as he knew, he never even had a single scar on his head but Turner was claiming he had died due to his swing.

There was a reason why she had never mentioned about his broken head. It was because when O'Connell had returned back, he did not have any. They were healed…
As if healed by a healer.
Hand…Touch…Light…Face….Suffocation…
"Oh Lord! The vision wasn’t just my imagination. It had taken place for real. IT WAS REAL!"
"Yes it was." Turner licked his dried lips, "You're Jesus sp the society was saving you. You know what, thou have resurrected and your resurrection was made possible my Payne. She filled life back in you and pulled you out of the pit."
"If I'm Jesus and if I am reincarnated then who can the woman be? What she can be? I don’t even think it is her real name after all." he looked at Turner, "She's Mother Mary?"
Turner took a long breath but didn’t stand up and gazed at O'Connell's pale face.
"I know what is inside your mind, Allan. You are thinking what if you're Lazarus and she is Jesus after witnessing revival. But believe He wasn’t a female and even if he somehow had returned back in a female body then I would have seen her whipped back – which I never saw. Believe in me, if she meant she was Jesus then she would have let me known about it."
But still O'Connell didn’t ask any question and kept it to himself.
"What are you wondering about now? You've got to know everything you needed to know. Aitóuntes, Payne, your memory and D'Amares…"
"I am wondering –"
"Makes me wonder you are thinking of why no mask was discovered from your house. And I'm thinking why I kept that rose for two decades."
"The rose." He giggled with a shrug, "What did you do with the rose, which dries in a single day, for whole twenty years?" O'Connell didn’t know but he had a strange smile on his face.

"The rose never dried, boy. It was with me until last night but it isn’t with me any longer. I guess nobody is going to question about finding a rose inside a house while they have corpses everywhere."
"But where did D'Amares' mask go? Holy hell, now I officially am a vicious criminal who may be sentenced of life imprisonment. I'm just supposed to keep breathing behind the walls in terms of living."
"I've got no idea where did the mask go. It was the only one thing which could make things easy for you and complicate even worse for them. But I also hadn’t seen any mask. Maybe I forgot to notice it when I saw an agonized child with whipped back about to take his final breath."

Rise of a Scarlet Devil (Regular+Draft Version)
A young girl slain during a war was brought back to life by some unknown force millennia later. She could only remember a vague face within her memories, uncertain as to who it was but there was one thing she did know. She needed to kill that person. But she was too weak, she needed to hide, to grow. She needed to flee from the battlefield her enemy reigns over. And to do so, she needed to run eastward, towards Helios, a safe haven for those who have lost their homes in the war. And where she would grow to become the strongest Hunter under her own strength. What was it that brought her back? Only time will tell. #Author's Note The novel is organized like this:Regular Chapters (Act, Title, Part (ranging from 1 to 9))Draft Chapter DisclaimerDraft Chapters (Entry Number, Perspective, Title, Part (ranging from i to ii)) Regular chapters are edited chapters that reflect the story aspect more while Draft chapters reflect plot progression more. An occasional interactive chapter will appear in the drafts but nowhere in the regular chapters. Expect changes when reading between Regular and Draft chapters as some events in the story may change in length or entirely removed/changed. Only read the draft version if you want a future view and/or opinion on the story and design elements. The main character is a human from a fantasy world reincarnated as a devil. The story possesses Reincarnators, Transmigrators, and Summoned Persons. though mainly focusing on Magic and other abilities such as Aura and Skills. Wizards (those who prepare arcane spells) and Mages (those who use elemental magic) are separate but seen as the same by common inhabitants of the world but clearly defined as different by more influential persons and by the circles themselves. The main character WILL not be a Mage or Wizard but will incorporate mana into her attacks to aid her as does any high-rank combatants. The system in the novel quantifies a person's abilities and keeps record of them but does not define natural ability, occasionally granting special abilities as skills to a person once prerequisites are met. There is no leveling system and no occupational systems in the novel featuring only a stat based and skill based system. Also, this novel is my first and will most likely be trash.
