《Revival Factory & Other Novellas》Cover Up Order (Ch.7)

The Glock's nozzle was pressed against his skinny vampire like cheek and he kept squinting down to its nozzle hoping nothing would come out of there as a result of his foolishness. He couldn’t dare to look up at Deighan's face.
"What did you just put in here?" the middle aged cop with heavy arms and fancy Stalin like mustache said. For few seconds, Hansen presumed Stalin – one of the most hated historical figures, had come from straight from his grave just in order to scare the daylights out of him.
"N – N – N Nothing Mr –" he managed to mutter.
"I heard you shut the damn drawer you skinny." he snapped and he scanned the entire room which looked normal from every perspective. "Room's clean but your clothes stink." Then Deighan pushed him hard, "Something is unusual here Benjamin Hansen, isn’t it?"
Hansen could spot his TPD Police Badge other than his pistol. For some seconds Deighan (who looked like he was wearing a fishing hat instead of sergeant hat) look all around and then started smelling the air, making a squeamish sound.
"Where's Marcello?" he snapped like he was inside a dark interrogation room and like Hansen was suspect of a misanthropist act.
"Who – who - Marcello?" Hansen breathed out like he was doing nothing more but whispering in thin air in front of a man who was double of his weight.
Both men then heard a heavy sound of something hit on the floor upstairs by something. In act of defense, Hansen did not even move his lips for he doubted what was source of sound upstairs, right above them. It seemed like somebody was stomping upstairs.
He doubted someone was doing it.
"Marcello," Deighan said, ignoring the sound right above them, "a man who walks in cloak, hood and has a rucksack on his shoulder and, most importantly, almost every night since few days he's been spotted here. Every night…every night he gets inside your house, each time with the sack on his shoulder…" Deighan whispered.

Hansen knew nothing what he was talking about. He had no idea about anyone entering in his house except a girl who had come from nowhere.
Upstairs, the girl could see a police car parked outside the house she was trapped in, through the glass window. The van would never have come in her sight if she hadn’t heard sound of engine stop. She had to squint to her left, almost rolling her pupils back inside her eye sockets. It was somewhat like she used to pretend like a ghost by rolling her eyes upside when she wasn’t confined. She could hear the cop was shouting, "Open the door." She could be saved if the cop heard her. She couldn’t shout but could still stomp her tied feet. She yelled but she also knew no matter how loud she attempted to shout, her voice wasn’t even going to reach in next room. She stomped the wooden floor.
She did it twice.
Then she didn’t count and thought she had gone insane.

Phantom Storm
"Have you heard, the entire Bonanno crew was brutally murdered!" Exclaimed a youth in his early teens. "What? you're lying, again!" Another similarly aged child responded with crisp denial in his tone. After all, the crew was infamous for their ruthlessness. An eery silence passed between them. Soon enough, the teens' curiosity trumped his ego, and he found himself inquiring in a meek voice. "So...Who did it?" "I heard my father talking about it while he was drunk. Guess what he said?..." The child responded, he was a natural-born storyteller. Listening intently, the other teen urged him on. "It was done by a single person. When the police arrived, the bodies were charred black, likely the work of an electro mage. Most had an arrow or two lodged in their body, and a few were even chopped into neat little slices by a sharp blade." He paused, inhaling sharply. "All the victims had shocked expressions on their faces. As if the enemy was invisible or something. That's why they call that person the Phantom Storm!" concluded the adolescent with an excited glint in his eyes. 2 CHAPTERS PER WEEK (Canada time) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] -------------------------------------------- Follow Itsuki as he is reincarnated in an unfamiliar world, left to discover where he belongs in such a place. Witness his exploits. Watch him build his kingdom, receive a rare class, and overcome trial upon trial. This story is about a man trying to redeem his past errors, constantly striving for better, overcoming immense pain and loss. Our character will improve, learn, become better than yesterday, and strive for more power. All the while working his way up the food chain in this brutal and unforgiving new world. *Disclaimer:* - The protagonist starts weak and a little naive, but I guarantee he will become quite capable over time. There will be no sudden power gains. The protagonist will have to work hard for what he gets. - This story is not about a loner, he'll have a few companions, and they will not be useless. - Some romance will be explored but not take away from the story. The main character will not be dense. Absolutely no harem will happen, but there might be a few love interests, no more than 3. - I will try my best to not follow cliches and stay as original as possible. - This story is my first ever, whether online or in real life. Thus, I might have grammatical errors here and there. The story might have a few plot holes and other such minute mistakes, as well. But I guarantee to try my best. Please give me feedback so that I can deliver a better story and learn to write better.

After Z
The signs were all there. A mysterious fever spreading in the wake of the pandemic. Increasing incidents of unrest with surprisingly little coverage by the media. Breakdowns in basic services. Nick had thought for years that total social collapse would come in his lifetime – he just never expected that collapse to come from the unquiet dead. As soon as he was sure enough that the potential danger outweighed the awkwardness of admitting that yes, the dead were rising, Nick grabbed his bug out bag and bugged out. It felt, at times, that the zombie movies, comics, and games he’d grown up with had been preparing for this moment. And Nick was right. But also very very wrong. After Z is an apocalyptic occult interactive serial about survivors hiding from the dead in a forest preserve. A new chapter is posted every week, and every week supporters vote on which way the story flows. This story will be added to daily until it's caught up with its current state elsewhere; if you don't want to wait you can read ahead on my blog.

Rebirth, but not quite.
A boy is born in a fantasy world with knowledge of modern earth, however he does not have personal memories of living or dying before. Good news is he was born in militaristic branch of the royal family and the variety of forms and uses of magic in this world are great fun, bad news is with status come expectations. Follow him as he makes his place in the world all the while escaping boredom with all his might. This is a story without a big baddie trying to destroy the world, without gods choosing heroes to give powers to and without systems that determine what you can and can't do. This is my first fiction and i'm open to suggestions. I plan on using a few cliches while putting my own spin on things, if i write something that feels too much like every other fictions, please say so.
