SIEGHART PERMARRE POV
*Sigh* I closed the report letter in my hand. It seems, I have drawn a charm which attracts trouble with it and every time it comes; it implies to get bigger and bigger.
*sigh* I even lost count on how many times I sighed today
“What’s the incredible joyous event written in it?” old man asked in a teasing tone, not befitting his age. I got irritated with it.
“What’s written in the report Your Majesty?” sensing my seriousness and irritation man on my diagonal right switched in serious tone is a man which turns to be in his early 70s with few wrinkles prominent on his face, with dry white hair and long white beard up to the neck is the most decorated person after me the king is the prime minister of the country Warren lanmlon.
“Yeah, it’s a report of Olivia’s pregnancy,” I said while passing the report to him
“Pregnancy? Have any complications arose?” While opening the report, he asked with concern.
“No, not for Olivia’s pregnancy, it’s her race probability test result that I’m worried” I said while looking towards the ceiling, Ah! On the side note, the study is a big room with a large library on both side with many books shelved in it used for reference, enchanted with dust resistance, deterioration resistance, corrosion resistance magic. The desk and the chair I’m sitting on is enchanted with increase stamina recovery, reduce fatigue magic made up of elder treant wood.
The ceiling being decorated with lights and a large chandelier at the centre with a finely and artistically designed maroon colored mattress. Let’s return to the topic.
“It’s just that the probable race is a demon with hierarchy above the marquis”
“Race probability test, huh,” muttered warren as he went through the entire report

Yeah! As name suggests, race probability test is……….
Race probability test: Test to decide the probable race of the unborn child growing in the mother’s womb, in this a tiny load of magic power from each basic attribute, made to flow to the unborn child, against this a characteristic magic power wavelength as a resistance mechanism is emitted by the infant, this is used to figure the race, evolutionary hierarchy, range of magic attribute and the most important, the amount of magic power, which too is a rough mean to make a guess on race and hierarchy by measuring the wavelength and denseness of magic present in it.
“The race doesn’t matter, the problem is the hierarchy“
“Yeah! It’s fairly high,” said warren with his eyebrows contracted as letter V, seemingly in deep thought
“I can’t bear my unborn child falling into unnecessary conflict nor be the progeny of the conflict.” I got up from the chair and moved towards the window
“Your Majesty, we can just try our best to prevent conflict to come near imperial child,” said warren with
Yeah! That’s one of my most trusted subjects or should I say my friend? Well anyway
“Warren, tell Alfred to check the security level in the castle and raise it as he see fit, and also increase number of spies in foreign lands”
“Understood, Your Majesty” said warren with a respectful bow and left the room
3 months later…………….
It’s 6 months into Olivia’s pregnancy and there is a prominent bulge visible on her tummy, only 4 months from expected delivery date. The baby inside her tummy is quite a troublemaker. There were some complications, but it was settled with no greater problem.
I wish there were no more complication, later did I know that fate had something else stored in for us………..

On my way to the throne room, I locate Olivia on the verandah cleaning her equipment………
This girl…….
“Olivia!, haven’t doctor told you not to work during pregnancy and here you go making magic tools again,” I said with bit anger and irritation mixed in it
“Ah! Sieg, I was just cleaning equipment so they won’t catch rust or malfunction,” said Olivia with a bitter smile, as if showing that ‘I worry too much ’
“……. So how’s the champ?” I asked while looking at her round tummy.
“Well, as lively as eve- ouch! Ou-Ouch! Ugh…..”
Middle of the conversation, out of nowhere Olivia started feeling pain and suddenly lost consciousness.
“Olivia!? Olivia!!” I hurried went in her pocket and caught her before she fell down on the floor
Phew! Oh! She is quite light despite having a child in her tummy, huh, it’s NOT the time for that! I have to take her to doct- and suddenly a large amount of dense magicules from her tummy rose and magicules from air is being absorbed forming a circular ball like shape with a few rotations to accommodate the mixing for a while and got reabsorbed into the tummy again.
“Your Majesty!!” a man’s shout became clearer after every moment. I turned in its direction to find Alfred with few soldiers quickly coming this way.
“Your Majesty! Lady Olivia!? What happened!? We sensed unusual high magicules near the verandah, we came to find the reason and cause behind it. Is it enemy attack to assassinate the unborn child!!?”
“It’s not that, maybe I know the reason behind it but first let the royal court doctor to see her,” I said while taking her to her room….........
After taking her to the room doctor started their diagnosis of Olivia and the baby, I alongside with warren, Alfred, Elizabeth and Alen waited outside the room.
*Clank* the door opened and revealed the figure of an old sheep beastman with sheep like horns on his forehead wearing a robe up to ankles long, with the kingdom’s insignia on the upper left side of robe near the heart showing angels wings on both side of an upright sword with demon horns growing from the handle and a chain wrapped around the blade of the sword.
“Your Majesty, lady Olivia had suffered from magicule antagonism, but both lady Olivia and the baby are safe. She will wake up in few hours because of magicule overload, a side effect of magical antagonism,” the doctor left with the condition of Olivia.
……….. “Eh!!?” everyone exclaimed in unison.
Everyone was in a shock, Alen with her both hands covering her mouths with eyes wide open and shaking her head side wise in dismay, Elizabeth sat on the chair holding her head as if it’s the end of the world, even the prime minister known to control their emotions had emotions running wildly and Alfred was left petrified from the shock except for me

Ursus Ex Machina
Ozzy was a man of the wild. Raised in a remote village atop the world's mightiest mountain, he'd been taught to respect and revere the natural world. The realm he was born into had been there long before him, and it would remain there long after him. Sure, there was the occasional madman who threatened to destroy it, but such boasts were always empty. No one individual was actually capable of demolishing this beautiful blue-and-green ball Ozzy called home. No matter what terrible magics these villains wielded, they were incapable of causing permanent harm to the environment. Even if the planet was completely devastated, it would recover. Life would find a way to flourish, same as it always had. That was what Ozzy believed from the bottom of his heart, so he never once felt the need to save the world he loved. After all, it was never truly in danger. The world would be fine no matter what. The people were a wee bit endangered, but that was another story altogether. However, what would happen if Ozzy suddenly found himself devoid of his beloved wilds? What would the man do if the realm he knew - one of wonder, magic, and chaos - was replaced with a man-made environment of concrete, industry, and steam? Ozzy could never imagine such a thing happening, and yet that was his new reality. After losing a fateful confrontation with a mad wizard, he and his friends found themselves transported to a strange world so thoroughly alien that every waking moment feels like a fever dream. Separated and scattered to the four corners of this land, each of these adventurers will need to adapt, survive, and overcome if they hope to reunite. They would also need to do so quickly. The sooner they are able to find one another, the sooner they can figure out a way back home and have another crack at putting an end to the villain's plans. Whether such a thing was actually possible in a world with barely any magic in it was a valid concern, but Ozzy had more immediate things to worry about. For instance, why did the air smell like a perpetual forest fire? How did ships sail through the sky as if it were water? And most importantly, was the pavement he was hurtling towards at high speed much softer than it looked? Probably not, but a man could hope.

Paladin
When the first derelict alien spacecraft fell to Earth, humanity took what was found in it and propelled themselves to new heights. In their new Golden Age, humanity developed technology that they had only dreamed about. The following years saw hundreds more ships crash into the planet, spurring even greater technological leaps. An unassuming spacecraft, one of the dozens that fell yearly, descended on Siberia in 2021. The world took no particular notice of it. However, this one contained something beyond the miraculous technology that had made humans so prosperous. Three years later, in a top-secret underground facility in eastern Colorado, the automated construction of an army of Paladin Mobile Infantry Suits was underway. With this new, state-of-the-art weaponry, the military would turn the tide against the alien incursion that was consuming the planet. Humanity fell before that could happen. Sam was an engineer responsible for overseeing the facility. Now alone, he lives in utter boredom and near insanity, his only company the base’s pseudo AI and an army of empty Paladins. With the world gone to hell around him, and the things that caused it still living above, he decides that he is much better off staying exactly where he is. Unfortunately for him, that is no longer an option. This is the first novel I've written. The first fifteen or so chapters are going to be a little slower. I want there to be time to get to know the characters before they start blowing stuff up. Also, though the MC will be strong relative to the world, he won't be OP, and won't win every fight. Not every fight will be physical either. Currently, I'm aiming for something like 5 fairly short chapters a week, after the introduction part is done, but we'll see how that goes. Thanks for reading, and please let me know if I've made mistakes!
