《Questers, a litRPG tale》Chapter 27

The horned beast rushed towards Bai roaring its lungs out. The other beasts stopped roaming and lifted their chin looking at their friend charging at the human.
The moment the beast reached within arm's length of Bai, he sidestepped, pulling out his sword, swinging it lightly at the beast's neck. A silver lining appeared along the blade edge as the sword cut through the next of the monster with ease. Sam looked at the beheaded monster stunned. The cut was clean. Blood dribbled out of the flat surface as if it were a fountain.
You killed a silver horned casus.
You received 200 experience.
You received 200 bonus experience.
"This?" Sam was stunned at the abundance of the experience. He knew dungeons were extremely profitable but he didn't expect such a high gain. Thinking back, spending a few gold coins for such an abundance experience farm was definitely worth something.
"Everything has its price. The world dungeons give high-quality materials and an abundance of experience but you also lose your life were you to die in one." Bai explained while looking at the drops gained from the dungeon mob.
Little Blue Hills Party House.
Astra and Justin were sitting across from each other enjoying a cup of sweet tea. Both were packed ready to move out. Astra finished her tea and moved to the kitchen to wash her cup.
"Do you think Madam will agree?" Justin asked, looking at the Astra. "Madam values loyalty and talent. I'm certain she wouldn't mind you joining the house. It's better to wait till you finish this training." Astra smiled looking at the scared girl.
"This dungeon, I wish it wouldn't open so soon," Justin muttered lowering her head looking into the empty teacup.
A secluded mansion away from the City.

Maya was sitting on a couch enjoying a good cup of tea. The servant stood next to her for her orders. "This tea… who made it? Don't you know a girl can't drink such strong flavour?" She spits out the little sip that she tasted and pushed the cup away.
"Sorry, young mistress. I will punish the cook immediately." The maid took the cup and rushed off in the direction of the kitchen. "Stupid things, I should ask mom to get someone like Astra." She got up and walked away to the inner chambers.
Maya stood in front of an ebony door. Her mother was resting and she was reluctant to disturb her. After a little hesitation, she was about to knock when a sound came out from inside. "Come inside Maya, I'm still sitting awake." She opened the door to see an elegant lady, dressed in sky blue gown sitting on a bed going through some papers. Two maids were sitting beside her helping her sort through the work.
"I'm sorry Mom, I didn't intend to disturb you." She walked in closing the door behind her. "Since you are already here, tell me. What were you looking for? Where is Dona?" Lady Angelina asked with her soft voice. Lady often had to put up with the two girls who caused her trouble. She was certain the two were up to no good. Considering the time, she had a vague idea of what was in the kids' mind.
"Mom, can you come with me for the dungeon training? I don't want to go with someone I don't even know." She said with her innocent face. "Your trainers are all hand picked by the school. I can't influence the school's decision. Who did you two get?" The lady asked the cowering Maya.

"Dona received Little Dino and I got Brutal Savage." There was a hint of fear in her voice. Hearing this the lady laughed out with two serving maids both smiling. "Haha, no wonder you are so worried. Don't worry they two are in the same party. Looks like you two girls will be fine." After a small pause, she warned. "Don't try to mess around those two. They have a short fuse. They will beat you up without any regard." While she warned her eyes drifted away remembering some old memories.
Deject about the incident, Maya went out to go look for Dona. She found her in the training yard with the family trainer practising sword arts.
"So, you met lady Violet. How is she?" The instructor asked Dona in between his swings. Lady Violet is someone who possessed the highest sword skills in the kingdom. Had it not been for her demon transformation inhibiting her future growth, she had the potential to reach a tier 10 powerhouse. Although she was only a tier 5 in power, her resilient body possessed unbelievable defence making her a hard opponent for even a tier 8 damage dealer.
The honorary title was awarded by the King after she fought against a tier 8 super beast buying the elite party enough time to complete a tier 11 super magic circle obliterating the beast. Violet's unbelievable body was able to sustain the damage and survived the attack which killed the beast right in front of her eyes.
Seeing Maya approach the two, they stopped the spar, letting her approach. "Looks like we both will be going to be in the same party." Dona thanked her trainer and walked with her sister into the house. The trainer could only watch as the two walked into the mansion scheming their next plan.

Mana Soul
Like many others across the multiverse, Markus was chosen as this world's hero to fight against the steadily approaching cataclysm. Only, something went horribly wrong. Left with only a handful of memories, Markus has spent years clawing his way up from poverty and officially registered as an adventurer to try and make his fortune. Unfortunately, Artificers are the least combat-capable class of the four classes, and Markus has no connections to join an established party. With the fate of countless worlds hanging in the balance, a chance meeting will determine the course of a war nearly as old as reality itself. Warning: Markus has trauma induced amnesia and will occasionally 'act out of character' or make 'poorly thought out' decisions. These events are rather obvously telegraphed abd represent conflicts between his current personality and the one repressed alongside his trauma. Just something to bear in mind. The story will bounce predominantly back and forth between the primary protagonists every couple of chapters. The time stream is linear, so events are not revisted/rehashed/retold through the narrative format. Characters may comment on something that has occurred, but that's different. Just giving a heads up.Chapters will be around 7-9k and updated 1/week on the same schedule as my other story Ogre Tyrant over the weekend.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

One-Shots // Book Compilation
One-Shot's written about any book title I feel like including; yet, know I shouldn't make a one-shot book for strictly that universe. So, since I still want to put the writing out there, I figured this would be a great way to do that! Here is a list of titles/authors that are included:- Carry On // Rainbow Rowell- All For The Game // Nora Sakavic - The Raven Cycle // Maggie Stiefvater - Grishaverse // Leigh Bardugo- Riordanverse // Rick Riordan- Folk of the Air // Holly Black
