My name is Seung Jin-Ho.

I live in koreas Seowon town.

An Apocalypse happened 10 years ago on earth. Dimensional gates opened and monsters came out of them. They killed humans without mercy. Hundreds and Thousands of lives had been lost during that incident.

My father also got killed in this incident while protecting me , my sister and my mother.

But some of the Humans got Superpowers. They are called Awakened Hunters and Dimensional Gates are called Dungeons.

Hunter's killed the monster's and cleared dungeon's to protect civilians. Science got a 2x boost because of the Crystals obtained from killing monsters. They displaced batteries as a power source. They are called Magic Crystals.

One small size Magic crystal can cost upto 120k won.

Some of Big Ranked Hunters created groups of various Ranked Hunters to clear dungeons. They are called Guilds.

I was 8 when it all happened. I was in a shock when my father was murdered by a monster. My mother took me and my sister as she make a run for our lives.

After 10 years situation is now stable and monsters don't come out of dungeon's if they gets cleared on time.

There are three types of dungeons.

1.Temporary Dungeons:- These type of dungeons can open anywhere and anytime but once the boss monster dies they gets closed automatically. There loots are very good. A huge amount of magic crystals can be obtained from these dungeons and sometimes the boss can even drop a skill page or magic item. These two are very rare to obtain.(They are not made for newbie Hunters).

2.Permanent Dungeons:- Once the boss monster in this type of dungeon is dead it takes some time to respawn again and the dungeon get's secured for Magic Crystal farming. This type of dungeon takes time to get closed like 50 to 70 years as scientists say.(They are for miners and newbie Hunters to practice).

3.Abandoned Dungeons:- In these type of dungeons a hunter only goes when the boss is spawned. Because normal monsters in these dungeons don't give many magic crystals. But the monsters in this dungeon are strong for a newbie hunter to practice. They take time to get closed like permanent dungeon.(They are neither for miners nor for newbies).

Well....After all this happened my mother found job at a restaurant. Me and my little sister started going to Highschool but it didn't worked out well.

One day near the restaurant where my mother used to work a temporary dungeon appeared and a monster attacked my mother.

The Hunters arrived there and cleared the dungeon.

The manager said that a goblin suddenly appeared from somewhere and stabed my mother in her spinal cord after that day and till now she is in a coma.

It was my 18th birthday on that day. Me and my little sister was waiting for my mom to return home. But only a phone call came to us.

The government compensated us with 1 million won.

If your family member get's injured during a dungeon appearance then you will get compensated with 1 million won and if someone dies then his or her family will get compensated with 5 million won.

We have to get her admitted into the city hospital.

The monthly bill of bed and services charge of hospital was 900k won and my sister's Highschool fee is 300k per month.

I dropped out of school on the day it all happened and started to find a job as i turned 18. I got the job of a porter within a hunter party.

A porter carrys hunter's equipments and collects the dropped magic crystals in the dungeon after a hunter kills a monster.

I can earn a decent amount of money from this job. If there are 200 magic crystals dropped in total then 5 of them will be given to me.

Magic crystals can be cashed at any government hunter shop. They buys magic crystals for a good price and they also sell skills and magic equipments.

Today i earned 2 crystals from a dungeon raid.

A middle aged man with black short hairs wearing a armour waved his hand towards seung Jin-Ho.

"Bye Seung Jin-Ho"

"Bye Mr.Byeon"

This man is Mr.Byeon sangwook he is the leader and swordsman of the team i work as a porter in.

It's been 1 week since i joined this new team so i don't frequently interact with the other members in the team. Except him.

I only do a conversation with him if i see any mistakes in crystal counting.

After saying their goodbyes they left for their home.

As Seung Jin-Ho opens his bag to put the magic crystals in it he sees a card rolling in his bag. He picks up the card and starts staring at it.

The card was made up of steel. It has some information printed on it about Seung Jin-Ho with his picture.

"Sighhhhh....."

Seung Jin-Ho let's out a big sigh as he puts the card into his back pocket.

"I am still not awakened"

The card which Seung Jin-Ho is holding was the license given to a porter.

"It's 7 already"

He walks out from a construction ground as he sees that it's evening already. But he entered the dungeon at 6 in the morning.

It took more than 12 hours to kill 300 bead rats but the drop was only 120 magic crystals. Out of which i only got 2 crystals. The next will be in 4 days i am very short on money.

It happens very frequently that i get 5 crystals.

A normal party raids a dungeon only 2 times a week.

I earn 1.6 million won per month only. Minus 1.2 million won for hospital bill and my sister's school fee.

I am only left with 400k won. In which i have to manage the apartment's rent and our food with her pocket money included.

At the end i am left with nothing but my life with which i have no guarantee to it when i will lose it.

If someone loses his or her life in a dungeon then their family will not get anything as a compensation. That's why i am getting paid with a very handsome amount of money.

As Seung Jin-Ho was walking on the road lost in his thoughts a voice comes from his back....

"Oppa"

A teenage girl with short black hairs till her shoulder's wearing a school uniform came running towards him as he saw her Seung Jin-Ho let out a broad smile. As if he forgot everything he was thinking a minute ago.

"Hi how's your day today?"

She is my little sister Seung Hyun-Jae. When i see her smiling i forgets my all tensions.

"It's good. What about you?"

"Just earned 2 magic crystals."

"Wow! Thanks oppa. You should have worked very hard to get these 2 stone's. While i can't do anything to help."

Seung Jin-Ho taps on her head and speaks in a light tone.

"You should focus on your studies. Exams are coming. Okay?"

"Yes."

They both stopped at a district division and Seung Jin-Ho said

"I will come home after cashing the crystals so you go home first and eat dinner it will take me 4 to 5 hours because of the crowd okay?"

"Okay."

As Seung Jin-Ho started moving to the opposite direction Hyun-Jae grabbed his jacket and frowned.

"You will come home right?"

Tears started to come out of Seung Jin-Ho's eyes as he listened those words but he didn't turn around and said.

"I definitely will."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

Both of them goes their way as the sun sets in the middle of the scene.

She still remembers that day when mom didn't came back she was 12 back then it was very painfull for both of us.

As Seung Jin-Ho enters the shop a man around 70 year old with white hair wearing black coat greets him with a smile. There are two bodyguards standing besides him. They are hunters.

"Hello good sir, how can i help you?"

"I would like to cash these 2 magic crystals."

"Give me a minute sir."

"They will be 240k won. Do you want something else from the store sir?"

"No, Thank you."

"Would you like to transfer the amount to hunter account?"

"No, i am not a hunter so i will take cash."

"Okay sir."

The man gave 240k won in cash to Seung Jin-Ho.

"Thanks."

"It's a pleasure doing business with you sir."

Seung Jin-Ho started walking towards his house there was no crowd at the shop so he cashed the crystals very fast. He took a shortcut to his house from a dark street alley. He was walking at a fast pace when two men came across him one is bald and he was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans other one has green spiky hairs with a white t-shirt and black jeans on.

"Hey stop."

The baldy shouted.

"You talking to me sir?"

"Yes, now put that bag on the ground and go."

Seung Jin-Ho was a 18 year old teen he doesn't have the strength to handle both of them at once. But he didn't want to give his earnings to some thugs.

"I will not give you what is mine."

"Ho"

The green hairs then pulled a knife out of his pocket and pointed it towards Seung Jin-Ho.

"What did you say?"

Now Seung Jin-Ho is scared. Money can be earned again but life is one and only. He is not scared for himself but the thought of his sister scared him the most.

He putted the bag with money on the ground.

"Good, now go."

"Hey he has seen our faces what should we do?"

The baldy asked.

"Stop."

The green hairs shouted.

"Should we do that?"

Green hairs said as he looked at baldy with a confused expression.

"Hmmm.....yeah we should do that."

"Hey look i will not tell anyone anything let me go i have a little sister at home who is waiting for me."

"Sorry friend i don't think you will see her ever again. Hehe"

As soon as Seung Jin-Ho heard that his pupils shrunk.

"Now move towards that direction."

Seung Jin-Ho followed their instructions in order to look for a chance to run. They took him to a subway station where a board was hanging outside the station.

As Seung Jin-Ho readed it he got stunned.

The words on the board are :-

ABANDONED DUNGEON AHEAD MOVE ON YOUR OWN RISK!!

At that moment Seung Jin-Ho knew that they will throw him into an abandoned dungeon. He started sweating.

A dimension door of blue colour appeared ahead.

"Go in."

Baldy said.

"Please let me go sir i will not tell anyone about this."

"Move"

Green hairs shouted.

As Seung Jin-Ho saw a chance he turned around to run.

But the baldy kicked him in his stomach as he got sucked in the dungeon.

Seung Jin-Ho saw both of their faces smiling out of pleasure as he faded away in the blue aura that sucked him inside.

Seung Jin-Ho landed on rough ground there was dark everywhere.

As he got up fastly and runned towards the door to exit the dungeon but he feels a sheering pain in his back.

He touched his back and felt that something is clinging onto him.

He pushed that thing backwards with his hands with full force.

He turned to see what it is as he turned he saw a green colored monster of small size. Seung Jin-Ho identified what it was.

"A goblin."

A goblin is not a strong monster if he is alone but in groups they can take an E ranked hunter down easily.

As they stared at each other Seung Jin-Ho felt dizziness. He remembered his teammates told him once that goblin covers their weapons in poison.

I am poisoned.

*ting*

Huh...A knife is lying there. Same to same the one green hairs carried. Did i snatched it while i was falling into the dungeon.

Dizziness increases in his body as he falls on his knees.

The goblin slowly walks towards him.

"Kekeke"

He is laughing. A dog sized monster is laughing at me.

The goblin stabs the knife again in Seung Jin-Ho's left shoulder.

"Ahhhhh."

A memory flashes into Seung Jin-Ho's mind as he groaned in pain.

"You will come back home right?"

"I definitely will."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

Jae i can't keep up my promise sorry. But i will not die alone.

Seung Jin-Ho grabbed the knife near his right knee.

The goblin twisted the knife more inside his shoulder.

Seung Jin-Ho gathered all his remaining strength in his right hand and swinged the knife upward.

As the attack was on point-blank range goblins throat got slit opened. Blue Blood spilled on Seung Jin-Ho's face.
