《Dragon God Resurrection》Chapter 16: Three burial grounds.

Marr slowly walked up to the cave entrance and very carefully inspected the floor on the region after some time he realized that there was a thin line in the middle of the earth. He cleared some earth and the classical setup of a pitfall trap could be seen.
Marr carefully paid attention to the borders of the trap as he went around it, the river had no traps but walking on water with armor would alarm the soldiers. As he got inside the cave, two opposing opening could be seen.
The cave was very spacious and had a nice temperature as torches completely illuminated it.
Suddenly a small blue colored light came out from the opening to the right.
Marr recognized it as a sign from Merrich and decided to go inside the room to the left.
While he was getting his axe off his back, a soft lute melody started playing. Marr smiled as he got up and entered the room to the left saying.
“Hey what a nice melody is playing in the other room.”
The room Marr just walked into was quite big, there was a huge tent in the opposite wall to the entrance, many boxes could be seen around and a bonfire was light up in the middle of the room. All the orcs were sitting around a table as they drank some strange red colored liquor.
As he said this word’s all the Orcs got up and drew their weapons. A big Orc that seemed to be their leader looked at Marr as he said.
“Who are you? What are you doing here?”
Marr had a sinister expression on his face as he looked at the Orc leader.
“Listen to it, it’s quite fascinating.”
As the Dragonborn finished saying these words, many miserable screams where heard from the room across.
The Orc showed an ugly expression as he raised his axe while pointing at Marr and ordered.
“Attack!”
A group of 15 orcs charged towards Marr with axes in hand, Marr simply started dodging the multiple attacks from the orcs.
The Orcs had impressive coordination and were very well-trained soldiers, their attacks were well-timed and very precise. Marr was continuously dodging the attack, and couldn’t help but praise the Orcs in his head.

[There’s some serious effort put into these guys. They are actually predicting my moves and attacking where they assume I would be at. If they were any faster, I would be in trouble.]
As Marr realized the Orcs couldn’t keep up with him he decided to end it at once. Suddenly, the Blades of the Jennu Ariiogarurt light up with a pale pink color and blue lighting arcs coursed through the axe.
Marr dodged one more attack and instantly made a rotatory movement with his whole body. A circular ray of light that had the same pale pink color and lighting coursing through it expanded with the Dragonborn as the center. The orcs where all cut in half but no blood came out of the wounds as they were instantly cauterized by the ray of light.
Clear astonishment could be seen in the face of the orcs and even regret as they were unable to determine how they died.
Marr inspected the room and realized that the only survivor was the leader that had a deep wound on his belly. The Dragonborn walked towards the Orc and raised his axe, as his axe came down a headless body fell to the ground.
Marr inspected the room to see if he could find anything useful.

Merrich followed Dayer for a few minutes till they reached a small waterfall, Dayer looked at Merrich as he said.
“There is a narrow tunnel behind the waterfall that leads to the cave.”
Merrich nodded, and he went toward the waterfall, Dayer kept going through the forest and soon disappeared.
As the Halfling got close to the cascade, he realized there was a small cave behind it. He went inside the cave and saw the tunnel Dayer was talking about.
Merrich took out his lute and walked towards the tunnel as he was walking he started hearing the sound of people talking. He kept going and hid behind a rock while he observed the situation.
The room was big, there were some boxes on the floor that the Orcs used as chairs, big boxes could be seen all over and a small fireplace burned in the middle of the room.

Merrich inspected the situation around the room using a magical familiar. A small blue colored light flew around the room, the Halfling counted 20 Orcs inside this room.
As the blue light went outside the room, it ran into Marr that gave a warm smile to it and nodded.
The Halfling prepared his lute as he got up and walked out from behind the rock he was at. A beautiful melody was heard as all the orc’s in the room slowly felt into a daze.
The music coming out of the lute was simple but seemed to form a certain resonance with the surroundings.
Inside the mind of the Orc’s scenes of war and battles where playing thanks to the music, this was their dreams and the thing they loved.
Out of nowhere, a strange blue colored mist appeared around the room. The mist slowly entered the Orc’s bodies through their mouths and noses.
Suddenly a miserable scream sounded from one of the Orcs as he grabbed his head and fell to the floor. His eyes were completely white, and he bled from the seven orifices on his head.
More screams were heard as many orcs fell to the floor in the same situation as that first one.
After a few minutes, no sounds but the melody of the lute could be heard, Merrich stopped playing as he went around the room looking for clues.
-------------------------------------------
Dayer reached the back entrance of the base, this was where the small river came out though.
The Eladrin went in and after a few meters, he could see the bridge that leads to the other side of the river.
Dayer used “Shadow Path” and disappeared into the shadows, as the ability was activating he walked toward the bridge.
On the other side of the bridge, he saw two Orcs with huge bows on their backs guarding the door. He slowly got close to one of the Orcs and took out his dagger. He deactivated his “Shadow Path”
Dayer suddenly appeared as he thrust his dagger toward the Orc’s left chest. When the dagger completely went in he twisted the dagger destroying the Orc’s heart, the Orc was completely unable to scream as his chest filled with air because of the location of the wound.
As the other Orc was about to scream, a hand suddenly appeared on his mouth as a dagger slit his throat from behind him. At this moment the Orc realized that his comrade was on the floor but that Silver-Haired guy was nowhere to be seen.
Dayer slowly puts the body of the Orc on the floor, suddenly as he was getting up he heard some miserable screams from somewhere on the cave, He gave a wry smile and went back into the “Shadow Path”.
The Eladrin slowly walked along the pathway that leads to the next room. When he got there, he realized there were 30 Orcs in this room. A lot of boxes and tents could be seen around, and there were various firepits all over the room.
Dayer got his two daggers out as he prepared himself, he calculated he would be able to kill around 20 of them.
The other 10 would probably run away and would be caught by Marr and Merrich.
He deactivated “Shadow Path” and appeared on the middle of the room, an Orc realized this and was about to scream when a dagger suddenly went into his throat. Dayer started appearing and disappearing all over the place, every time he reappeared an Orc would die. After a little more than two minutes, 21 orc’s bodies were lying around the floor with a clean cut either to their throats or their hearts.
While Dayer was cleaning his dagger, he heard some screams coming from the corridor as a smile appeared on his face.
He inspected the room as a tall Dragonborn and a Halfling came in. As they saw the scene in front them a stunned expression could be seen in their faces.
Marr quickly got bat to his sense as he said.
"Well, let’s see what we can find!"

Chronicles Of The Storylord: 12th Chronicle - Origin
Twelve souls were chosen to expand into the void surrounding the known universe(s), and were given a grace period in which they would experience a relatively safe expansion of their domains. Once that period is up, however, they are free to interact with each other...and what lurks in the depths of the Abyss, the Void, and the Primordial Chaos. I am the 12th soul, but I am not as those others are, for I am merely a shard. My purpose: begin the Tale anew. For I am the Storylord, and I am the Tale. The Tale is all, and all is the Tale, yet the Tale is myself, for I am all in my domain. This is my story, the saga of many, the legend… of the Tale. Just remember this: “This world is but a story, and all the stories are true...” This story is in the same general multiverse as RE: Deity by lightningwarrior21, but will be almost completely separate except in a few chapters. I have permission from him to use his base multiverse, and you should go check out his fiction, it’s really good. http://royalroadl.com/fiction/9597 This ‘fiction’ will be updated sporadically, so don’t expect much of a steady stream of chapters. (I’ll try to do one chapter a week, but no promises.) Suggestions on how to improve this universe helps with the management, so comments are welcome, as are Grammar Nazis. I’ve had this fiction mostly as scattered notes in my google drive, and only recently had enough time to actually put it together, like I promised lightning back in January. (Writer’s block and schoolwork do not mix well.) The cover is not owned by me, I found the image on google images. Anyway, I’ll be back yesterday… or was that tomorrow? (I really need to get that damn causality generator fixed, me-damnit!) See ya!
