《Dragon God Resurrection》Chapter 3: Request for a bounty hunter.

A huge man using a cape that covered his whole head was walking around the market. He got close to a fruit stand where the vendor was announcing his product.
"Apples, buy your apples! Red, beautiful and tasty apples come get yours!"
The man in the cape took an apple as he threw a coin towards the vendor. The vendor grabbed the coin in midair making sure it was a copper before keeping it.
Suddenly, a commotion was heard, as one of the stand owners, could be seen chasing a burly man, with a scar in the shape of an "X" in his arm. As he ran after the man he screamed for help.
"Help! A Thief! Catch him!"
As they kept running a slender silhouette appeared out of thin air right next to the thief, the newcomer hit the burly man in the back of his head, with the handle of his dagger.
The thief tripped, as the pain of the attack hit him, making him faint on the spot.
When the burly man hit the floor, the man in the cape who had an apple in his mouth, jumped on top of him as he bounded the thief's hands.
The slender newcomer got close to the man in the cape as he said.
"Be sure to bound him correctly, we don't want anything like Caldeon happening again!"
The big man in the cape took off his hood, revealing a head full of Bronze colored scales that shined with the sun and deep blue eyes that were staring at that slender person.
"Dayermorn, that was a onetime accident that happened 3 years ago, would you please, let it go?"
The slender man, also took his hood off, revealing his handsome face. He had delicate features resembling that of an elf, pointy ears, and long silver colored hair. His eyes where completely blue having no pupils and a pearl-like luster.
"Don't give me that shit, we lost five thousand golds that time, and had to sleep in a barn!"
Marr got up and carried the thief over his shoulder as if carrying a hay sack, he looked at the Eladrin in front of him and said.
"We wouldn't have slept in a barn if some crazy elf wannabe, hadn't lost all of our money gambling!"
Both of them kept squabbling with each other while walking in the direction of the guard house.
As they entered the guard house, both of them turned serious. They got to the front desk and showed the burly man to the guard behind it. When the guard saw the thief, he pointed at a cell and went to look for the captain of the guard.
Marr threw the man into a cell and locked it, in an experienced way, making it seem like he had done this action hundreds of times.
As he got back to the desk a Dwarf with a long gray beard went up to them and sat down in a small chair behind the desk.
He let out some puffs of smoke from his stone pipe as he said to the two bounty hunters.
"You boys again, you have captured the last person in our wanted wall."
The Dwarf sighed and let out more smoke out of his pipe as he took out a small pouch from under the desk.
"500 gold pieces, you can count it if you want."
The Eladrin grabbed the pouch as he looked at the dwarf.

"No need, it's a pleasure doing business with you, old man."
The dwarf stared at Dayermorn and the small puffs of smoke coming out of the pipe, in the captain's mouth got a little faster.
"Who are you calling old, Fairy, I have just turned a 100."
Marr, seeing the mood of the captain turning worse, hit his friend in the back of the head as he said.
"You are over 200 hundred Dayer, so the only old man here is you."
The dwarf laughed aloud and he let out a big puff of smoke.
"We will be taking our leave Blackstone, it's time for us to go to the next city."
Marr grabbed his friend by the back of his cape as he said his goodbyes. He was about to leave the place but was stopped by the Dwarf, who invited them into his office in the back of the house.
When they got there, the Dwarf locked the door and sat down in the chair behind his desk.
Marr sat down in front of him and asked.
"Why did you bring us here captain, what is it you need?"
The Dwarf looked at both of them as he took, from a small chest in his desk, three badges, and a letter. He gave the items to them as he explained.
"This request came in this morning. It's an invitation for three bounty hunters, the letter doesn't specify who or what you will be hunting. But it came directly from his majesty."
Marr read the contents of the letter as the dwarf explained the situation.
"Old man, wouldn't we be short of one member for this invitation?"
The dwarf sighed again as he let out more puffs of smoke out of his pipe.
"The two of you are the best bounty hunters to come here in the last 30 years, I can't think of anyone better for this invitation than you two."
Marr finished reading the letter, and he looked at the dwarf.
"What is this place mentioned in the letter?"
"That's the mansion of Supreme General Raven. He is the most powerful person in the kingdom of Alberta, and the biggest support of the royal family."
Marr looked at the Eladrin by his side, and the latter nodded at him giving his approval.
"We will take it then! Thanks, captain."
The captain only raised his hand, in an acknowledging gesture as he went back to his tasks.
When they went out of the guard's house, they decided to go to the tavern and have some fun, since the meeting wasn't happening for another 2 days.
When they got to the tavern, there were men brawling in a corner, and a bard was playing the lute as he sang to everybody.
The two friends sat down, and talked about their last bounty.
While they were talking a small shadow got into the bar. And sat down in a corner.

Time went on and the tavern got empty. The only people still there besides Marr and Dayer, where the bard who was smoking a cigar outside of the tavern, and that small silhouette using a black cape.
As Marr saw this man sitting in the corner, all alone for so long without drinking anything, he found it quite strange and went up to the small man.
"Is everything all right, sir? Do you need help with anything?"
The small silhouette heard this voice and seemed to tremble, he stared at the huge Dragonborn in front of him as he asked.
"Yes, yes! You wouldn't… happen to know where I could get some Kobold Wine right?"
As Marr heard this his eyes darted towards the man's face. The man took his hood off showing the small and vibrant face of a Halfling.
Marr laughed out loud as he saw who the small man was, he called Dayermorn and asked for some kobold wine from the attendant of the tavern.
"Dayer this is Merrich, that old friend from that orc warlord story."
When Dayer came over and heard this introduction, an amused look appeared in his eyes as he, trying to hold off the laughter, said.
"Oh, the one who ended up married to the orc's daughter?"
As Merrich heard this he couldn't help spitting the wine is his mouth.
"Damn it Marr, couldn't you keep that to yourself?"
Marr laughed it off and patted his little friend in the back. He then asked the Halfling what he was doing in town.
"I was doing some work in a nearby village, while I was leaving the village I realized my supplies were about to run out, so I came here to resupply."
Dayer seemed interested and asked.
"Work? what is it you do?"
"He is a bounty hunter Dayer, just like us."
The halfling stared at Marr as he laughed.
"No one is a bounty hunter like you Marr. I mean, who else would have drunk that wine out of a cup made of bones like you?"
The three of them laughed together as they talked and shared stories about their adventures and experiences.
When the Halfling was about to go up to his room to turn in for the night. Dayer gave Marr a look as he pointed toward the halfling with his chin.
Marr called the halfling back as he got serious and said.
"How would you feel about a doing a bounty mission with us?"
Merrich stared at the two friends in front of him, he smiled and said.
"Count me in!"
