Chapter 38 Naked Discussion???

“We’re back!” A day later, the yacht docked at Liberal Vista’s harbour. Nigel was overjoyed to be back on refreshing soil.

“This place looks even more beautiful.” Stepping onto the dock, Selene absorbed the beautiful scenery of Liberal Vista’s natural harmony. “My head feels lighter somehow.”

“That’s a given.” Babe came along and locked arms with Selene. “This place has refreshing Lignum plants growing all over the place. Come with me, I’ll take you to our leader. She’s expecting you.”

“She is? Alright.” Selene followed along. Last time she visited Liberal Vista was on an aircraft which took her directly to the Fahtier Rebels’ headquarters. Now she got to travel the lower scenic route, observing all of the island’s wondrous pleasures and attractions.

Couple minutes later, they arrived at the mansion atop the highest peak of Liberal Vista. Babe took Selene inside, led her to a private bathhouse and told her to go in by herself. Selene felt nervous meeting the leader alone. “You’re not coming in with me?”

“No. I will wait outside for when you are finished. Go ahead.” [Creek!] Babe opened the door for Selene to enter.

[Step! Step!] Travelling several paces after entering the capacious bathhouse, Selene discovered a middle-aged woman soaking her mature flesh in warm water while sipping fine wine. “Ah... Excuse me for interrupting…”

“Hmm?” Pomelo Epoch gave Selene an indecipherable gaze. “Come have a soak with me. We’re both women here. No need to be embarrassed.”

“Hum.” Selene gave her back to Pomelo Epoch while stripping down to her bare skin. She covered her naughty parts as she slowly alighted her feet into the bubbling bath. [Dip!] “Wuu, it’s hot.” Selene settled in opposing direction of Pomelo Epoch. “You wanted to see me about something?”

“Fu-ho-hu. A direct shooter, I see. Come have a sip.” Pomelo poured Selene a glass of fresh wine.

Selene accepted graciously rather than refusing courteously. “Thank you.” [Sip! Sip!]

“Good, girl. Drink up.” [Bubble!] Pomelo Epoch’s bosom was too big to stay submerged underwater. Their fabulous buoyancy kept them afloat. [Bubble!] “I heard about what happened to you after you left us. I’m glad to see that you are safe.”

“Thanks for caring. I should have stayed when you told me too. I only further made a mess of things.”

“No, don’t beat yourself up. Everyone has to learn from their mistakes at some point in time. Besides, it wasn’t your fault.”

“You believe me?”

“Of course. I know full well that you didn’t cause that biohazard attack on central Upaya and just in case you are wondering, it wasn’t us either.” Pomelo Epoch clarified.

“I know.” Selene responded. “That terror attack on central Upaya was all the doing of the WET-G. (World End Terrorist Group)”

“You know about them?” Pomelo Epoch was surprised when she heard Selene’s reply.

“I recently found out about them when I was briefly incarcerated.” Selene paused to adjust her breath. “My best friend, Iyana Shukow… She is in league with them. She was the person who set me up to take the fall for their crimes against humanity.”

“Poor child, you’ve been through a lot.” Pomelo Epoch could slightly relate to Selene’s suffering. “That name you just mentioned sounds familiar. Can you describe your friend for me?”

“She is no longer my friend.”

“I understand. Please tell me what you know about her.”

Selene told Pomelo Epoch all that she knew about her duplicitous friend, Iyana. Her explanation lasted for almost 30 minutes.

“I see. Based on what you told me so far. That girl fits the description of Death Gas’s daughter who vanished from the grid couple of years ago.”

“Death Gas? What is that? Is it a person?” Selene asked looking interested.

Pomelo Epoch took another sip of her wine then spoke. “He is the leader of WET-G and former co-founder of our Fahtier Rebel group.”

“Are you serious?” Selene was shocked to hear that the leader of WET-G was a partnering founder in the Fahtier Rebels’ establishment.

“It is a long story. One that I will tell you about some other time if you decide to join us. But you should know that we’ve parted ways a long time ago. Death Gas whose true name is, Diceman Shukow is no longer a part of our organisation.”

“Oh.” Selene pondered whether or not she should join the Fahtier Rebels. Coming to the understanding that she and Iyana had similar fates, Selene thought that it was best to fight against her oppressors with capable allies rather than cowering blindly. “What do I have to do to join you, people? Is there some sort of difficult inauguration?”

“Nothing difficult. You will have to take part in some special training along with other gifted people who wants to be a part of our organisation. All things considered, you are already a recommended ally but we still need to test your worth. It is a formality among us rebels. Babe will get you started.”

“Are there many people like us with the gift?”

“There is few, not a whole lot that I am aware of. Why do you ask?”

“I am just curious how large the Fahtier Rebel organisation is.”

“We do okay. We have other stations situated across Bay City. Not all of our members are made up of gifted people like yourself. Most of them are information gatherers, weapons’ engineers, medics and computer technicians. All this you can learn when you take part in our academic training. I’m looking forward to seeing how you will help propagate our agenda.”

“I will definitely try my best.” Selene sounded enthusiastic.

“Then that concludes our naked discussion. You can step out of the bath whenever you feel like it.”

“I understand. One more thing before I go.”

“Yes, what is it?”

“Ah, never mind. I forgot about what I wanted to ask.”

“Well, whenever you do remember. Don’t be afraid to ask. You can ask me anything you want.”

“Thanks for sheltering me. I’ll get out now.” What Selene wanted to ask Pomelo Epoch was how she knew her father, but she felt like it wasn’t the right time. She got out of the water, wrapped herself in a pink bathrobe then exited the bath.

[Creek!] Coming outside, Selene was greeted by Babe’s plush face. “Are you done? How was your session with the leader?”

“It was alright. We had an informative conversation.” Selene felt uncomfortable being in only a bathrobe. “Babe, is there a place where I can get into something more comfortable?”

“Certainly. Follow me. I’ll take you to where you will be staying while you are here.”

[Step! Step! Step!] Babe took Selene to the very same room in the mansion that she stayed at prior to her departure. Everything was still in place, the alluring bamboo furniture coupled with the natural ambience.

Selene took notice of the old apparels sitting neatly across the bed. They were the very same that she wore the first time she came to Liberal Vista. “Isn’t this the same room that I stayed at?”

“It is. The leader kept it reserved for you in the hopes that you would return and you did. Here you are. Hehe.” Babe smiled amiable then opened a window for Selene to look out through. The sun was still bright in the sky, showering Liberal Vista with its rays of life. “Isn’t it beautiful?”

“It is pretty.” Selene came along and looked out the window with Babe.

A while later, Babe stepped away from the window and directed Selene’s gaze to the central table by the living room. “Come take a look.” The table was populated with the following objects, a super-smartphone, a box of Lignum Masks, and mini-briefcase with various types of brand-name clothing.

“These are for you.” Babe handed over the phone to Selene after hitting the On switch. “This a specially made phone us rebel affiliates use. It is highly secure with 72,000 layers of encrypted protocols. So if you need to contact your parents you can use this, but your call must not exceed the 2 minutes timeline. You can access your funds without any sort of hitch as well. An account has already been set up for you. Here is the password.”

“Huh?” Selene glanced at the piece of paper handed to her. [Praise_B_2Farts] “Rather weird password don’t you think?”

“I think it is cool.”

“Oh…” Selene waited until the phone properly booted up then entered the password on the prompted screen. [Beep!] She was now brought to the special interface of the smartphone. For the wallpaper, it had the design of the Fahtier Rebels’ logo. Babe didn’t have to teach Selene how to navigate the brand new phone. She was technology savvy.

“These other stuff are yours too. The masks are specially made dependent on Lignum vitality, so take proper care of them.”

“Thanks, I will.” Selene sorted through the clothing provided for her. “Good stuff.” She was satisfied with their detailed design.

“I better get going now. I have prior matters to tend to.” Babe got ready to leave with her sexy hips swaying towards the exit.

“Wait a moment, Babe.”

“What is it?” Babe stopped and turned around.

“Ahm, that boss lady, Pomelo… she said that you will lead me through the process of becoming an official Fahtier Rebel.”

“Oh, yeah. That is a matter for tomorrow. For now, you should rest or try to make friends.” Babe grasped the handle of the room door. “I almost forgot to tell you this.”

“Tell me what?” Selene’s curiosity peaked.

“While you were busy conversing with our leader, Pac called. He said he already delivered your message and is on his way with your delivery. I think by the sunset he will arrive.”

“So he got it after all? I can’t’ wait until he gets here. I missed him so much.”

“You miss him already?” Babe had a strange expression on her face as she exited the room. She thought that Selene was referring to Pac, little did Babe know Selene was actually referring to her feathery friend.
