Chapter 35 Explosive Prison Break!
[Alarm! Alarm! Alarm!] The female ward of Thorn Passion Penitentiary was in disarray. Flashing red lights accompanied by thunderous sirens was constantly alerting the inmates and guards of the terrorist escapee.
[Creek!] Someone burst into Warden Cho’s office, informing him of why his prison was in an uproar. “Sir, the terrorist inmate that was set to be executed tomorrow has escaped her cell after assaulting 2 of our officers. She is currently on the run somewhere inside the prison.”
“Find her immediately!” [Break!] Warden Cho tossed a fragile cup from his desk which crashed at the informant’s feet and shattered.
“Yes, sir! We’ll definitely find her. She might have crawled out of her cell but there is no way for her to escape this penitentiary. The Robot Hounds have already been released on her trail, it’s only a matter of time before we locate her scent. Then excuse me.” [Creek!]
After the guard stepped outside to further his search for the runaway criminal, Warden Cho clenched his fists tightly as he glanced out of his office window, looking at the nightly view of the rough bay. “That duplicitous wench was playing possum all along? Now that she is backed into a corner she bares her fangs. I should have known better to toss her stinking ass into the hole down in the basement rather than placing her in some lavish cell. She must not escape from here, otherwise, my career might be in jeopardy. That terrorist must be publicly executed tomorrow to calm down the disturbed public.” [Crack! Crack!] He was clenching his fist so tightly, his fingers actually cricked.
[Chep! Chep! Chep!] Selene was running stealthily towards the lower prison floor while disguised in the guard’s uniform that she had stolen. Along the way, she discovered a squadron of guards rushing up the stairway while being followed by automated dogs. She hurriedly dashed back up the stairs and ducked behind a corner.
Being unable to suppress her heavy breathing, Selene covered her mouth as she spied on the alerted guards who disappeared down the opposite hallway. “Shoot, I was almost discovered. I was so close to the exit too. There must be another way out of here.”

[Chep! Chep! Chep!] Selene made sure to avoid the multiple cameras set up around the prison while directing her legs towards the rooftop. The female ward was puzzling for Selene to smoothly navigate, especially while being chased after by numerous guards.
Sometime later, Selene arrived at the last floor that would have taken her to the rooftop had it not been for a nosy female guard who walked by her and thought that her outfit looked suspicious.
“You there, which unit do you belong to? I can’t recall seeing you on this floor before.” The guard was getting more suspicious of Selene when she realized that she wasn’t turning around nor answering her questions.
“Slowly turn around so that I can have a good look at your face.” While saying this, the guard was reaching for her Rump Imprisoner. “I won’t ask you again.”
‘Shoot, my disguise is too obvious. This uniform is too big for me to blend in properly. What to do? What to do?’ As Selene sieved through her thoughts for a suitable evasion tactic, she felt a cold hand rested on her shoulder.
“Turn around now.”
“Dammit!” [Whoosh!] Selene suddenly spun around while tossing out a violent fist at the female guard. Because she had already anticipated that something was off about Selene’s decorum, the guard swiftly caught Selene’s fist then twisted her forearm.
“Awe!” Selene cried out in pain. The female guard pinned her against a windowpane as she called for backup.
“Alert central. This is Meredith from the top floor of the female ward. I’ve caught the escaped terrorist. I repeat. I’ve caught the escaped terrorist!”
“All search parties did you hear that? The criminal has been caught on the upper floor. All of you rendezvous up there and secure the terrorist before she slips away again. And make sure to be on your guard. She brutally injured 2 of our best already.” Finished speaking through the microphone, Warden Cho sat at his desk then directed his fixed gaze at the monitors that were displaying interior footages of the female ward. [Switch! Switch!] “Huh, there you are.”

“Go! Go! Go! We must not let her escape again!” [Chep! Chep! Chep!] While being pinned against the windowpane, Selene heard the multiple footsteps dashing closer to where she was.
“This is bad. I can’t let them catch me again.” [Punch! Punch!] Selene tried fisting her way out of the guard’s strict embrace, but her punches were quickly dealt with easily.
“Stay put and settle, dirty scum!” [Boom!] The guard smashed Selene’s face against the window which formed a crack. It was by this painful action when a brilliant idea came to Selene’s mind.
Glancing outside the window, Selene recognized the open yard surrounded by tall electrical fences. “The exit is just down there. Can I make it?” Selene did a swift mental calculation to judge the distance she was at from the ground. “62 meters. That Fahtier Rebel, Babe leapt over a greater distance while carrying me. If I mimic her stunt will I be able to pull it off?”
[Chep! Chep! Chep!] “There she is!” The reinforcements finally made it to the upper floor to witness Selene’s unexpected escape.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t want to be executed for crimes I did not commit.”
“What?”
[Prick!] Selene bit down on the guard’s arm which was pressed against her neck, moreover, she kneed the guard in her clothed vagina. [Boom!]
“Awe!” The guard removed her oppressive force from Selene to tend to her hurting groin. As she writhed in pain, Selene attempted to open the window.
“She’s planning to jump! Stop her!”
“Can she even survive from this distance?”
“You idiot! Don’t underestimate the abilities of a terrorist whose devious plots have claimed the lives of thousands of people.”
“We won’t get to her in time. Send out the hounds!”
[Bark! Bark!] 2 automated dogs leapt out of the gathering guards and shot off towards Selene’s proximity.
“Shoot!” [Creek!] Selene forced open the window then dashed outside before the automated hounds could bite a chunk out of her leg. [Bark! Bark!]
From outside the borders of the female ward, two suspicious figures were concealing their presence behind some high grown vegetation. They were none other than Pac and Babe.
“Babe, do you think it is that girl producing this commotion?”
“Who else could it be causing such a loud ruckus? I can smell the strong stench of onions all the way from here.” [Boom!]
“Babe, look over there by the window.”
“WAAAAAH!” While falling headlong towards the tough concrete, Selene urged her flatus to respond to her will. “Please! Please shoot it out! Just like her.” Selene thought about her first encounter with Pomelo Epoch when she witnessed the utilization of her gift. To mimic this memory, Selene clenched the muscular tissues of her bowels until her flatus became stimulated by the onion impetus within.
[Voopf!] Selene quickly positioned her bottom to face the ground then unleashed vaporous series of destructive onions that cushioned her landing. [Thud!]
“I did it! I survived the fall.” Selene was elated that she got her fart out in time.
“What was that?” Warden Cho who was keeping a close watch on the monitors was bewildered when he witnessed how Selene had secured her landing in the front yard. “Isn’t that the ability that those Fahtier Rebels use to pollute our atmosphere? So she also lied about being in league with them. Now I am 100% certain that detestable organization was responsible for wreaking havoc to central Upaya.”

This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.
