Chapter 33 Duplicitous Friendship???
The moment the guards disappeared with Clifton Gomez, another guard came into the room with a petite lady garbed in dark apparels and said brusquely: “Make it quick! You will be the last visitor she ever sees before her execution!” [Boom!] The guard slammed the door behind him as he exited the room, allowing Selene some privacy to converse with her friend.
“Iyana is that really you?” Selene was veritably happy when she recognized her BFF’s (Best Friends Forever) arrival.
Iyana sat down at the table and replied: “It really is me, girl. As soon as I heard that you were incarcerated for those heinous crimes I tried coming to see you but they wouldn’t allow any visitors. It was only due to your father who contacted me before coming here why I was able to make this visit today.”
“I’m so glad that you came, Iyana. I know you must have heard really bad things about me on the media.”
“Yeah, I heard. They said that you were responsible for that major terror attack which took place in Upaya’s midtown.”
“No! Don’t believe them, Iyana. It’s all lies! You know I wouldn’t do those bad things right?” Selene desperately sought her friend’s support.
Iyana responded blithely. “You don’t have to convince me, girl. How long have we known each other?”
“Since middle-school.”
“That’s right. I know you like the back of my hand. Of course, you would never conspire such tragedy for our city.”
“Yeah! Yeah! I’m glad I have your support, Iyana. Now that we are on the topic I want to tell something.”
“Tell me what? I’m all ears.”
Selene pushed her lips closer to the glass and spoke softly. “Ahm, I think that I might have been set up by one of the officers at the precinct. They said that there was a ticking bomb inside that suitcase you gave me. It must have been secretly planted there by one of the officers who was going through my stuff. And also…”

Iyana sat there listening to Selene’s hypothesises without saying a word. Selene kept on whispering her thoughts on the matter.
“I shouldn’t have brought such an obvious suitcase with me. I only carried it because it was a gift from you. By the way, Iyana. What exactly did you pack for me inside that suitcase? I didn’t get a chance to peek inside that time because of my parents’ presence.”
Even though she’d been asked a question from her unfortunate friend, Iyana kept silent.
“Iyana, why aren’t you saying anything? Don’t misunderstand. I’m not accusing you of stashing that bomb into my bag if that’s why you are keeping silent. You are my best friend, I know that you would never do something like that…”
“How naïve.” Iyana finally broke her silence by interrupting Selene’s speech. Her face gradually acquired a sinister aura which startled Selene behind the glass. She had never seen this dark part of her friend before.
“Iyana, what did you call me?”
“You’re too trusting of others, Selene.”
“What do you mean by that Iyana? You’re scaring me with that dark tone of voice.”
“You still can’t figure it out can you?”
“Figure what out?” Selene had no idea what her friend was referring to.
“That’s why you are such a naïve fool, Selene. Let me spell it out for you since you’re incapable of reading between the lines.” Iyana pushed her face closer to the glass and whispered with an evil grin. “The cops weren’t the ones who planted that bomb into your suitcase.”
“What?” Selene was taken aback by this revelation. “Then who was it? Are you trying to tell me that it was all your doing after all?”
“Bingo.” Iyana responded with a silent nod.
“But why would you, Iyana? We’re best friends aren’t we?” Selene demanded more clarification. She was also starting to tear up.

Iyana settled her sinister expression and said: “We were friends. To be honest I didn’t want to tarnish our relationship. But after seeing you got abducted by those Fahtier rebels it donned on me that I could use you as a scapegoat to take the fall for us. In doing so the FPD wouldn’t have to search very far for a target to blame. You.” Iyana pointed at Selene with her index finger.
“Me?” Selene couldn’t fully wrap her head around her best friend’s betrayal. Iyana who she trusted so much to the point of inviting her to her home, shared a bed with her, even took showers together. This amiable person actually set her up to die? “But they’re not just going to lock me up for what you did. They are going to publicly execute me!”
“Even better.” Iyana replied with a cruel smirk. “The sooner you are out of the picture, the sooner we can make our next move.”
“We? Who are you working for, Iyana? What corrupt bastard made you turned out this way?”
“I shouldn’t say, but I see no harm in telling a person that is about to be dead very soon.” Iyana placed her duplicitous lips against the glass then enlightened Selene of her devious affiliation. “The organisation that I’m currently working for is called, WET-G (World End Terrorist Group). Bye-bye. I’m looking forward to your imminent execution.”
Iyana got up to leave the visitor’s room. Seeing her deceptive friend sudden motion of escape, Selene called out to her and tried alerting the guards outside. “Iyana! Iyana! Get back here you wicked bitch! Guards! Guard! Capture that deceptive woman! She’s the one that you’re after not me!”
Right after Iyana came outside the guards rushed into the room and roughly grabbed up Selene from the counter. “Settle down terrorist wench! Your visiting days are over! We’re taking you back to your damn cell! Where you will await your execution.”
“No! Please listen to me! That lady is the one that you want! She is working for that terrorist organisation that destroyed Upaya!”
“I said shut it!” [Bam!] The two male guards who were transferring Selene to her cell abused her face which forced her to halt her fidgeting and quiet her spouting lips.
After tossing the misbehaving criminal into her cell, the guards lingered for a while and drank in her voluptuous appearance. “That sexy body of yours is soon to expire. Might as well we have some fun with it before you’re 6 feet under.”
“Yeah, might as well. I’ve never eaten a terrorist moist flesh before. Fu-ha-ha.” [Reach!]
“No! Get your filthy hands away from me you perverts!” Selene struggled to knock away the guards groping arms from her bulky parts.
“Shut up! Who are you calling perverts?” [Spank! Spank!] The guard slapped Selene’s face a couple of times then spat on the floor before walking out of her cell. “Just you wait, woman. We’ll come by later tonight to play with your lady parts. Make sure to wash down there properly for us. Fu-ha-ha-ha. Dorio let’s go.”
“Lead the way.” The two lascivious guards removed their presence from Selene’s prison cell with a devious grin on their faces. “Fu-ha-ha-ha.”

The Dungeon Calls for a Sage
Archimedes was the ego behind one of the most powerful dungeons ever created. He grew and developed his halls, filling them with powerful monsters and beasts, over the course of thousands of years. He was a grand structure of ten thousand floors which even heroes had failed to defeat. However, an Evil God had come from another world, calling himself the Demon King, and a party of heroes were sent to do battle with it. Through their victory, they obtained enough strength to breeze through Archimedes' dungeon like it was nothing. Forseeing the end of his life, and realizing how pointless his pursuit of power had been, Archimedes destroyed himself, taking the heroes down with him. Still, Archimedes felt despair that he had lived a worthless life as something as pitiful and futile as a dungeon. Sensing his regret and potential, the voice of the world presented Archimedes with the chance to start anew and live a more meaningful life. Thrilled and hopeful for the first time in eons, Archimedes accepted the offer, only to be reborn again as a dungeon core with not a single room or monster to his name. Just what was the meaning of this?! Archimedes couldn't figure out what the voice of the world was thinking. Somehow, he would have to draw a sage into his dungeon to figure it out for him. _______________________ DCS is now a member of the WriTEr's Pledge, which means I have sworn to see it through to a satisfying end.

Macabre Mim
*Note: This story is on hiatus. I intend to pick it up again, but the mood of my life has shifted for the time being and I'm going to be working on a side project for a bit.* What would you give to live the life of your dreams? What kind of deal would you make? And when you were there, forced to stare your dreams in the eye and live them every day, how long would it be... before they broke you? Author's note: This is my first excursion outside the realm of villain fan fiction and I welcome feedback. The thing I've loved most about RRL so far is the potential for writing to be an interactive experience with excited readers. That said, also, the primary genre this is intended for is the blossoming realm of LitRPG. Namely, a slice of life tale in the manner of Grimgar or Re:Zero. So, likewise, I don't expect there will ever be a clear beginning-middle-and-end type of pattern to this story. It will likewise always be a bit more of a reactionary, exploratory novel into realms unknown - much like the 1800 travel-novel theme used by Jules Verne. Or, at least, that is my ambition.

House of Wolves
“The forest grew still as the bastard sword took its' last life that night. The beast's shirt was saturated with blood and sweat, clinging to his skin after the heat of battle. The demons that drove him insane were dead, but his broken sanity failed to mend. Left standing in a pool of scarlet, his mind shrouded in the ecstasy of massacre, only one thought remained—more.†-Ch.9Dead to the world and the property of insanity, a former death row inmate is thrown into a new world, thrown to the wolves with two goals: send those running the experiment to hell, and enjoy whatever blood spills along the way. This is the third iteration of my fiction. The earlier titles are Imperator which revised to become Reaper which became this original web novel. House of Wolves is still a work in progress so any suggestions and comments are welcome.
