Chapter 31 Thorn Passion Penitentiary
[Vrm! Vrm!] Pac was escorting a high-end official through the streets of Liberal Vista with Babe as his backup. When they pulled over their vehicle at a gas station to refill the depleted tank, they noticed a lot of people having their gazes fixated on a TV monitor nearby. Taking a gander at the monitor they saw for themselves what the exciting commotion was about.
“Babe, are you seeing this? Upaya was almost overrun by those fart ghouls and it seems like that snobby blond girl was at the centre of it.”
“I recognize those Fart Mutants. The outside world might be thinking that their existence is new but the truth is they appeared several years ago at a remote village that no one really cared about. It seems that the WET-Group has surfaced again after so many years of keeping under the radar. The boss must have already been informed.”
“But are you hearing this, Babe. The news people are saying that our organisation was behind this terror attack. How unbelievable.”
“They are just looking for a scapegoat to pin everything on and since the Fahtier rebels have skyrocketed in popularity recently that makes us their best choice.”
“Tsk, bunch of lying bastards.”
“Come on, Pac. The tank has already been filled up. We have to keep on going.”
“Yeah, I’ll be right there.” [Thud! Thud!] They returned to their vehicle then drove off. [Vrrrm!]
……
[Whoosh] Unsettled waves splashed against the rocky borders of a small island located at the north-west region of Bay City. This isle was given the name, Thorn Passion. It served as a detainment site for Bay City’s nefarious individuals who were unlucky enough to be caught by the law. Occupying the port of Thorn Passion were numerous transport ferries. This meant that a major event was taking place on the island due to the amount of visitors’ arrival.

Several days after the virulent particles have completely vanished from Upaya’s downtown airspace, a throng of angry protesting individuals who had suffered major losses during the terrorist attack on Bay City were gathered outside the sealed yard of Thorn Passion Penitentiary. The angry mob was tossing their negative thoughts at Selene who was currently being held behind bars. They blamed her for massacring their love ones and for ruining their lives. The security guards present were doing all that they could to prevent the angry mob from breaking into the prison.
“Drag that wicked bitch who turned my little girl into an effing monster out of there!”
“What the hell do you people think you’re doing protecting that terrorist?”
“Why is she sleeping in a sound bed? Why does she get to eat three meals a day? She shouldn’t get to live such a comfy life with our tax money!”
“You murderer! Get your ass out here! I will personally rip your smelly ass to pieces!”
“You think the former senator can protect your stinking ass forever! You wicked woman I must have my revenge!”
“Your father’s connections won’t save you! Soon you will regret forcing your head out of your mother’s smelly snatch!”
“We will burn this prison down if we have to! My vengeance must be repaid with blood!”
“Stop stalling and bring her out already! What the hell are you official bastards doing inside there?”
“Bring her out and let her face justice!”
“This is the first time in my life I ever want to kill a woman so badly!”
“No mercy! No mercy!”
An elegant lady garbed in red gave her report. “Good morning Bay City. I am Dadra Gordon from CN7 news joining you live from Thorn Passion Penitentiary. As you might be hearing from the angry individuals behind me, everyone is displeased with the way how our justice department is currently handling the detainment of the 22-year old terrorist, Selene L. Gomez. They are all demanding for stricter measures to be implemented, even some of our trusted FPD officers have joined the violent protest. It was reported several days ago that the 22-year-old criminal had smuggled a portion of the biohazard that wreak havoc on our beautiful city into the central FPD station of Upaya. Her diabolical actions claimed the lives of many hardworking officers. I was also caught up in the creatures’ rampaging line of fire that day. Had it not been for the assistance of my versatile crew I would not have been able to share this report with you today. Keep tuning in for further updates.”

“My goodness. Look at this mess.” The warden of Thorn Passion Penitentiary was looking outside his office window down at the angry crowd gnawing at his doorstep and pushing against the fence. He felt miffed by their unruly presence. Joining him in his office were the stiff company of Lieutenant Fain and General Vragpuss.
“Warden Cho, how much information have you extracted from her thus for?”
“That young lady is a tough nut to crack. No matter how many times we grill her, she is still holding onto her claim that she had nothing to do with that terror attack. And do you want to hear the funny part? I’m starting to believe her. Usually, psycho-terrorist would be pleased of biting on the ownership of their crimes to make themselves famous but I don’t get that feeling with her. Are you sure that you capture the right person, Lieutenant Fain?”
Lieutenant Fain got upset when she heard this ridiculous question rushing into her ears. “Do you take me for a common simpleton, Warden Cho? I witnessed her cruelty first hand. She was definitely in cahoots with those Fahtier terrorists and that evidence is irrefutable. So don’t you dare mention again that I’ve snagged the wrong fish.”
“Alright, calm your tongue, Lieutenant Fain.” General Vragpuss voiced his thoughts on the matter. “Whether that child is the culprit or not is irrelevant at this point. The public has already believed that we’ve caught the mastermind behind that incident. If she maintains her unwillingness to cooperate with our investigation then you can just feed her corpse to that bloodthirsty mob outside your prison. Doing this will also appease their aching stomachs. I’ve said what I wanted to. I’ll see myself out now.” General Vragpuss left the warden’s office as soon as he finished speaking.
Lieutenant Fain watched the General leave then gave her attention back to Warden Cho. “I best be off too. I will make one last visit to the prisoner before leaving if that’s ok.”
“Feel free to do as you like with her. Very soon I will have to do as General Vragpuss’s suggested and used her corpse to satisfy the angry mob outside.”
“Farewell, Warden Cho.” Lieutenant Fain said her goodbye to Warden Cho then walked out of his office. Waiting for her on the other side of the door was officer Hizen.
“How did it go inside, Lieutenant? I noticed General Vragpuss storming outside earlier.”
Lieutenant Fain spared her mentor a glance. “Soon that girl’s flesh will be given as an offering to appease the unsettling crowd before a major riot breaks out.”
“I see. That is a wise choice. Are we heading back to Upaya now?”
“Not yet. I will make one last visit to her cell before we go.”
“Then I’ll assist you.” Officer Hizen followed Lieutenant Fain to a location in the prison where she would get to have a sit down with Selene. [Step! Step! Step!]
