Nestor waking up screaming loudly, "Stop!!" After regaining his senses, he saw a small unfamiliar room without windows, his body was covered with some bandages, and his body stinks from medicine smell. "W.. Where I am," he wondered. Then he recalled all that happens to him the imprisoned, the besets, that massacre the wolf, and the falling. The Room door opens roughly, and an old man entered the room in a rage. "Damn this boy screaming every time he wants to give me a heart attack, I will close his mouth..." The old man did not continue his talk when he saw Nestor awake. Nestor saw the old was bold. His high was 146 cm (4.8 feet) have a small white beard wearing a long grey robe, almost covering his toes. Seeing Nestor awake, the old man said, "ooh, finally you're awake! How do you feel? You've been out for 2 days since I found you". Nestor still does not know what happened while he was out, but he knew that he was saved by this old man. Then Nestor, with his shaky voice, replayed. "I am good. It seems you saved me, thank you." He paused for a second then said, "can you tell me what happened?" Then the old man shook his head, "No need to thank me. My name is Baran" then he sat on the floor and continues his talk. "I found you when I was coming from near town, saw you lying in the ground surrounding by 3 magical beasts. I was shocked aside form wolf, none of them were lower than rank 5 beast. Usually, rank 5 and above only exist in the forbidding lands, and I did not know how you ended up lying there. When I saw your body near one of the beasts, I did not even dare to hope you survived. but you were alive after all, but what shocked me that you don't have any essence yet how did you end up near these beasts?" Then he turned to Nestor and said, "Who are you? From where are you? and just what happened to you?" When Nestor heard these questions, he was dead silence. He was nervous to answer, who should believe him when he says he is from another world? The massacre that happened, a wolf that he didn't know saved him, and on top of that, he survived a fall that could kill magical beasts! Then he said to himself. 'If I told him, he will never believe me and think I am crazy or lying. the best thing is to say I lost my memories' He replied, "My name is Nestor, and that's the only thing I remember." Baran saw how nervous and scared Nestor was. He said to himself, 'It seems the injury he had wasn't just physical; it's also in his mind and soul.' So, he did not want to pressure him with more questions. "It seems whatever happens to you affect more than your memory. Just take a rest, and maybe your memory will come back to you". Nestor turned to him and said, "thank you again, mister Baran, for saving my life." Baran stood up and left. Nestor laid on his side and start shaken because of fear. Who could blame him? A boy in his teenage witness a massacre, and he was almost dead. The impact he had was not small in that situation. Even adults will lose their minds and go crazy. He could not rest or close his eye. He was just thinking of what happened and what will happen to him. 'those people who got killed like they were nothing and for no reason.' Thinking of the massacre and the screams imprinted in Nestor's mind. Nestor closes his eye and recalls what happened and said, "I don't want to be like them, killed like I was nothing but a mere bug." Nestor made up his mind "since I am in a world where magic exists, I need to learn it, moping down is never going to get me anywhere." Two days have passed since Nestor was awake. He did not eat anything in those days and could not sleep either. Thinking of what happened to him, his family. He said to himself, " I need to know what happened to my family and what happened to me. before i got teleported, that sound and that earthquake were strange." Nestor got some theory of what happens to him. First, By some weird chance, he teleported between space and time. Second, he was summoned like some fantasy since they can use magic here, but who did it, and why? Third, this is earth, but at a different time! All the theories were crazy, but nothing he comes up could explain what happens to him. After Nestor got a little better, he took a walk around. It is his first time to leave the room. The house was not big. It was a small cabin with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a small open area around a fireplace, so he went outside. He saw a magical place, a large tree estimated to be thousands of years old that shaded a small house, vast green fields and colorful flowers, near them a clear river and small animals drinking from it, high mountains touching clouds. Nestor forgot himself a breathtaking place. He even did not see Baran sitting in his chair, but Baran saw Nestor's eyes on how he was amazed and how he forgets himself. Baran smiled, and he did not disturb him; he let Nestor sink in his awe. After a minute, Nestor regains his senses and saw Baran, and he was smiling. "Good morning Nestor, how do you feel today?" Nestor was somewhat embarrassed, he smiled, "thank you, mister, I feel better." Baran asked, "And your memories?" Nestor shook his head and replayed, "still, I don't know about anything." Baran took a sigh. "It seems you took a hard hit in your head." Then Nestor sat on the ground, looking to that magical place healing his wounded soul. Both were silent for a moment enjoying the scene. Baran questioned, "Since you lost your memories, how about we go to the city, maybe someone will recognize you, or you will remember something? I also have some business there." Nestor paused for a bit, "yes, let's go." Though he was lying about his memory loss, he can only say yes. After that, they left that magical place heading to the town. On a dirt path, Nestor was like a tourist looking all over the hills, the landscape, trees with different colors and shapes. It was just too magical for him, Nestor then asked Baran, "Is there no magical beast out here?" Barna answered, "of course they are" Nestor got nervous when he hears that. Baran laughs, "Haha, don't be nervous. The beasts here are weak, mostly rank two, and if they show up, I will erase them. After all, I am a mage." Nestor was startled. 'He is a mage? He can use magic! This is a great chance for me to learn magic.' Since he made up his mind, what he needed the most was to protect himself from this wild and dangerous world. So he decided to ask him, but as he tried to speak, Baran cut him and said, "oh yes, about the magical beasts I forget" then he took a small bag out and gave it to Nestor. Baran continued his talk, "those are the magical crystal I took out from the beasts when I found you. They naturally belong to you". Nestor was startled and wondered while he was looking at the crystals, "I don't know what they used for, and since you saved me, please take them as thanks." Baran laughs, "you know I thought you were lying about your memory, but it seems you were telling the truth " Nestor got nervous for a second 'This old man didn't believe me! I need to be careful saying things since I want him to teach me the magic. I will wait for a chance then ask him.' Baran said, "those crystal used for crafting magical items, and the more they are pure, the more they got expensive. If you sell it, you will live your life without worrying about food and house." Then he pauses and turns to Nestor, "but they are yours. Do what you want with them, and my advice is to sell them in some auction until then, hid them, or even the nobles will send an army to get them." Nestor startled he did not know how much priceless they are and how much scary. he encountered an army before so he knows it will be his end if anyone knew about these crystals, so he hid them as Baran said After about 4 hours of walking, they approached the city. But Nestor was shocked. There were two cities, one floating in the sky and the other beneath it. The floating city was vast and beautiful, tall white buildings can be seen from far away, And in every corner of the town, there was a radiant tower made of blue crystals. The second city was half destroyed, and the simply constructed by wood almost worn out. Some of the houses even did not have walls or roofs. Covered by clothes or Tree branches. Such a vast difference like two different worlds in the same view.

Dreams or Another World - Not a Zero (Update 09/19/21)
(Updated 09/19/21) Hello and welcome. If you made it this far and the book title sounds interesting, I'm hoping you'll read a few chapters. Here's a sample from chapter 1 of "Dreams or Another World - Not a Zero."Slowly starting to wake up, I become aware. It's like coming out of a fog.Head hurts.Body hurts. There's a conversation in the room. This isn't my bed. Someone is touching my arm. I crack my eyes to look. She doesn't notice. Is she praying for me? Her hands do feel good…do feel... Slipping back unconscious, my eyes slowly close. I didn't notice the soft green glow under Jenn’s hands.*******************"It does look like he saved them or at least stalled them long enough for us to get there." says the man dressed more like a park ranger than an officer of the law. "I did think he was part of it at first" he continues "but the evidence shows he wasn't there and they were certainly fighting on that back road where we found them""I don't care who he is." says a woman as she enters the room. "He saved and protected my Jenn. I will make sure there's not a mark or a scar on him before he leaves". As she continues the few steps over to the men speaking, even though dressed simply in common clothes, there is no doubt the race of elves is in her heritage. The grace and lines of her form. The elegance and lightness of her step. She glances at her daughter, still watching over the young man in the bed. "Do we know who he is yet?" she asks no one in particular."Not yet dear" a man in a white coat responds. A handsome middle-aged man. Fit, but not that of a fighter or ranger. "I asked Talon to bring another identification stone with him. I was hoping ours was just broke, but it's reading the same.""What do you think is wrong?" Talon asks."I'm thinking we just have to wait until he recovers. I have heard of cases where the stone didn't work. Powerful spells can hide or wipe a person clean. I doubt he's a spy or a criminal. Spells like that are just too high level if, they're used at all. My best guess is, there is just some disconnect with him being unconscious. When he wakes, we can ask him or use the stone again then."I find myself waking up in a hospital bed. The attending Doctor finds it odd that he cannot identify my class. An Officer says I’m a Hero for saving a girl from being kidnapped, but he’s asking too many questions for my liking. I know an accusing tone when I hear it. I don’t remember any of it and I need to find my way home.Author’s notes. Original work. First draft and update of chapters 1-16. Inspired by various fantasy games and books. Written with a focus on character development and interaction. Combat, progression, leveling, classes, but no numbers or stats. I’ll try to keep the language clean, PG-13, no smut. I’m in the US, writing in English. Almost fifty chapters are completed as I pen this introduction. I intend to complete this story or at least bring it to a proper ending. I have a destination in mind. I find as I write, doors and ideas open, while others close and are discarded. The tentative release schedule will be once a week. I'm new to creating. My apologies now while I learn. I have not settled on a book cover or artwork, still looking for something that fits. Registered & Protected #20VjeKDv2U6nynW6

Statless
Summary Alexander Weiss, an intelligent and slightly unusual man, always dreamt of becoming a mage. Sadly, reality is harsh and even his best efforts never allowed him to achieve his goal during his lifetime... or did they? One has to be careful what they wish for, lest they might live to see it fulfilled. Description Follow Alex, a man whose pursuit of magic could not even be stopped by his non-magical reality, going as far as to create it himself, only to encounter an unsurmountable obstacle shortly before achieving his lifes goal, denying him all access to these powers. His journey will take him through a miraculous world, full of wonders, magic and manic beasts trying to devour him! He will learn much about this world during his adventures, exploring individual aspects of the System and the various monsters that came from it... or did they? Strong points What you'll get from this novel is the following (read with overly enthusiastic salesman-voice) : • An ending! I'll complete it, no matter what. Well, not "no matter what", but as long as I don't unexpectedly end, this novel won't either! • Good grammar! Might not be perfect, but it's definitely good enough to not detract from the story in the slightest. I'll also fix any reported mistakes as soon as possible, be they grammatical, syntactical or just inconsistencies. • No plot-armor! Or plot-weapons! Or plot-... potions? And no plot-holes! If you see some, it's most likely information that is being witheld for future revelations! But in the (hopefully) very unlikely case of such a vile beast being encountered, please inform me immediately and I'll see to slaying it without grace! (Translation: If you see plot-holes, tell me and I'll fix them) • Logic! [Hidden : Spoilers][Hidden : More Spoilers] [Moved to Chapter [Hidden Spoiler]'s Author's Note] Marvelous, I know! • Blue Boxes! And maybe something more! • Sensible retroactive edits! Not to be confused with radioactive edits! You'll not have to re-read previous chapters, even if they get some major edits. If they were to receive new information, I'll add that very information to the newly released chapters too, in a reasonable way. • Realism! Shocking, I know! Especially considering the tag related to that and the point about "Logic!". This also means that the story will be... well, realistically depicting a pretty messed up world. Don't expect bunnies... at least not cute ones. • Relatively faster paced! No long and boring descriptions of irrelevant stuff. There will be some longer descriptions about important things, but that's gonna be necessary world- and/or character-building! • Short action! Might not be a plus for some, but you won't have to look at a whole (or, god forbit, multiple) chapter describing a fight against the same enemy... • Strategy and hard progression! It's a dog-eat-dog world! No grinding/power-creep! If you're up against three enemies of your level at once, you've already lost! • Understanding! It will be mostly about discovering the wonders of this new world and how it became like that, all while trying to survive. So there will be enough action nonetheless! • Humor! Sometimes dark, sometimes light, always at the worst moment! • Constructive critics, welcome! Destructive critics, nope... I can handle criticism though, so don't go easy on me! Just make sure it's really a mistake when complaining about something. • Will add more in the future! If I can think of more stuff...
