Prologue

The Briars Corporation is one of the world’s leading companies, not to mention the number one in the whole world. They focus on relaxation and food chain businesses, but they also dabble on construction, trades, and other businesses. A lot of people say that the Briar Corporation controls the market and trends. There are also rumors, that they also control the black market. But those are only rumors. But one can be sure, that a lot of businesses, big or small, wants to be affiliated with the company and the sole owner, known as Black Rose. But no one knows the gender nor how the owner looks. Only Black Rose’s four ‘suits’ namely the King of Spades, The Jack of all Trades, The Ace of Hearts and the Upright Fool, shows their faces in the public.

A lot of people tried to portray as Black Rose, but with the four suits quick actions, all imposters were defamed, their status in society falling to the level of outcasts. Everyone started to fear this mysterious CEO.

Some say he’s an aged man, wearing a black suit, with a Black Rose on his lapel and a black diamond encrusted pin. They say he preferred black, just like how he leaves a trail of deaths and destroyed lives in the process.

Some say she’s a beautiful, enigmatic woman in her thirties, a young widow. They say she preferred black, because it reminded her of her lost love, hence she surrounded himself with the four suits. Swearing to never love again, in her wake, she leaves a trail of broken hearts and broken men.

They say, that with the help of Freius Albaster, the world-famous information broker and his mysterious company called Pandora, he offers those he deems worthy, a product he calls as ‘Privacy’ wherein he and a special team of specialists, will keep your identity a secret, any scandals, issues, cases prior and subsequent will be erased. He will offer you a clean slate, that even the CIA and other agencies will never find anything about you.

But in the end, these are all rumors, that only leaves a lot of questions unanswered; just who is Briars’ Corporation CEO, and when will the mysterious shroud draped on them be removed?
