《Wilberforce》Chapter 154: Heeda (2)

The earth quaked as the two strikes collided with each other. Each pushed against the other. After seven seconds, the raven exploded and took the seven worlds with it.
"You Are Not Worthy," Hidaya said calmly. Her tone carried meaning beyond the words communicated. Each word turned into an incantation as Hidaya spoke them, then each condensed into a seal. The four seals came together to form a representation of an unusual dagger that looked like an otherworldly talisman.
It went for Bihanzin.
For the first time, Bihanzin looked scared. He pulled all the ravens that bound Nostalgia and Daljari to defend himself.
The ravens matted together and formed a sturdy shield around Bihanzin. But when the dagger hit the shield, it shattered it in an instant and then went straight for Bihanzin. It was too fast that Bihanzin couldn't even react, especially since he didn't expect his shield to go down so easily. An inch away from Bihanzin, the dagger transformed into a hexagonal seal. It hit Bihanzin on the chest and imprinted on his body.
In just a blink, the seal spread around his body and then compressed itself to crush Bihanzin. The King's broken ribs pierced his heart and his skull crushed his brain. His lifeless body fell on the ground and his blood dyed the soil red.
Daljari's men cheered, while Bihanzin's wept.
"It's finally over."
"The Dark Orphan is gone."
"That's one hell of a crazy woman."
"Who's she exactly? I don't remember seeing her anywhere. Is she also King Daljari's salsa?"
"No. I heard my lead captain said she's the famous Black Flame of the First Dawn."
"I don't care who she is, man. She saved us and that's what matters."
"You are right."
Hidaya knelt beside her little brother and felt his forehead with her palm. She transferred her pol to him. Armad was revived almost instantly.

"Sister..."
He still couldn't believe his eyes.
Heeda nodded with a smile. "You're too old for a piggyback so don't even ask."
'Those words and voice...' It was her. Armad leaped into her arms.
She didn't try to stop him from hugging her or crying.
A minute passed and Armad finally released her.
"Hmm. He's still the little crybaby I know," she murmured to herself.
Armad rolled his eyes, saying, "I'm different now. Do you know the strength of my pol? I am the last Heir of Wilberforce, the master of Daikirin in Khan, and of Eyrion's Sikai. I am the killer of..."
Hidaya shook her head in a little exasperation.
"If you don't believe me you can ask my 'follower' Babara." He emphasized the word 'follower'.
"Okay, I believe you. Come closer."
He moved closer.
"Show me your cheek."
He turned his cheek to her and she kissed it, saying: "I was told you wept when you heard about my demise, is that true?"
There was a moment of silence. Then Armad punched her on the stomach, and warned, "Don't ever do that again."
"Ouch... It hurts!" She feigned pain and held her stomach with a hand. Armad laughed and hugged her.
The sudden show of affection by the infamous Black Flame left everyone in wonder. She was the fear that lived in the hearts of the Black-eyed. She was the danger that lurked in the open but couldn't be dealt with and so people pretended she didn't exist. The queen of gravity and swords. Did legends like her have their soft spot? Daljari shook his head. It had been long since he last saw Hidaya and she was even better than the last time they met. Maybe there was some hope left for the fallen Wilberforces, after all.

On the other hand, Armad's face clouded when he saw Nostalgia lying on the ground. He left his sister there and ran to her.
Blood still oozed from the princess' chest, but she wasn't in any immediate danger. The spear had missed her heart.
She looked at him and forced a smile. "Y... Your child is alright," she said, patting her stomach.
"Shh... Stop talking," Armad said embarrassingly.
A little ahead of them was Daljari talking to his son: "Hidaya rescued us today, but we don't know what tomorrow holds. Here, take this." He handed Nazara an enchanted slate. "Keep this for the rainy day."
Nazara knelt before his father and hailed, "My life is yours and so is my death, oh Father."
The old man just chuckled at his son and looked away. He would never have imagined Hidaya of all people to save him.
"You look better like this," Daljari said, smiling at his son's blood shield.
Niyashi looked at his entire skin covered by a thin layer of blood and chuckled. "No, old man Dalja, I don't. How long will it take to dissipate?"
"A month."
Niyashi gave him a helpless look.
"Ok. A week. Maybe more."
Niyashi sighed. The shield didn't look bad but it was a sign that he was saved on the battlefield. He wouldn't want to address the people of Rafiya like that.
"Well, we should leave as well."
Armad decided to introduce Nostalgia to his sister, while Daljari prepared to leave the battlefield. The old man had no intention of killing the remaining soldiers left behind by Bihanzin.
