《Wilberforce》Chapter 143: Armad's Soul (3)

When she was done transferring years of pol to the statue, Hidaya turned to Miki Abbas with a meaningful look before vanishing into thin air.

Miki shook his head and sighed. He would probably have to wait there for some time.

Meanwhile, Hidaya reappeared at the island of Psuedo-Ururu - the same place where Ururu trained their young ones. Nowadays, only the guards remained on the island ever since it was mysteriously attacked.

From there, Hidaya flew to the first world, undetected. Neither the guards nor the barriers set to protect the island and restrict trespassing could detect her.

When the giant Black Stone became visible from a distance, Hidaya brought out a slate from her bag. She cut her palm and put a drop of her blood on the slate.

The slate glowed with a golden light as the blood touched it. The glow immediately transformed into a light spear and passed through her chest. It then flowed out again, this time reddish and without any form or shape.

Hidaya's face darkened and became older. She spat some blood and gasped for a while.

The light, on the other hand, started to spin around her. It was so fast that she became dizzy just by looking at it. When it stopped an hour later, the scenery had changed. She was no longer alone. There was an explosion from the distance. Then the cries of panic came as children ran helter-skelter.

Hidaya watched as the old guardian opened a door on the Black Stone. The evacuation began. The guards searched each child before they allowed them passage.

Then an ordinary-looking girl went to the guardian and told him she was carrying a strange soul with her.

"So it was you?" Hidaya murmured.

She immediately appeared beside the girl and snatched the soul from her body. She stored the soul in her bag of holding before the girl could even turn her head.

When that happened, Hidaya vanished and the scene changed. She was now alone and in the middle of nowhere. The children were gone. The Black Stone was gone.

Heeda spat a mouthful of blood and her hair turned grey. She took some pills before vanishing back to the city of Khan

When Hidaya returned, Miki Abbas was still standing where she'd left him. She didn't say a word and just placed her hand on the statue. The soul passed through her hand and into the statue.

The statue glowed brightly. It moved its massive legs, making the earth shake. Hidaya said some incantations and the statue stilled once more.

"Time travel is a very risky thing," Miki Abbas said. "Whenever a person travels back in time, they are always at risk of breaking their pol and getting trapped. That is why only a few dares try it. But you did it as if it was nothing. I still have a lot to know about you."

"It wasn't nothing. I stored pol for two years before trying it. And it still wounded me. I wouldn't have done it for anyone except Armad," Heeda said, shaking her head, then she vanished again.

Miki Abbas silently stared at her disappearing figure. She always liked to leave without saying goodbye.

~The Battlefield

Armad was still in the darkness of Kuyurussa'ayi's pocket dimension, battling Dordor. But they kept multiplying. While his years of pol kept depreciating. It had been hours already.

Back in the real world, Daljari was surrounded by enemies. His face was full of hatred and sadness.

While on the other side of the field, Uznu wondered about how Armad was able to damage him. He had just vomited blood.

Judgement Dance. He hadn't seen this coming. Anyone else would have died from the damage, but being Uznu, he survived it.

"Not bad," Yarsaira commented. "That technique he used is surely something. But he isn't going to make trouble anymore."

"You are right about that," Uznu said. He considered the battlefield once more before he nodded and said, "There is still a lot of fighting to be done in this war, but our mission is already accomplished. It's about time we leave."

Uznu walked away from the battlefield. Yarsaira followed him behind. Another ally of Daljari was gone. The King was so angry that his eyes turned bloodshot.

"Asifu, Red Rider," Daljari said, turning to his commanders. "Use everything you've got. Don't hold back anymore."

The two commanders nodded. They now stood without an ally, a contrast to the start of the battle.

Meanwhile, a brown light was seen in the sky. At first, it looked like a miniature sun, but then, it expanded and began flowing earthward.

"What is that?"

"It's brown, I haven't seen anything like it before."

"It must be Daljari cursing his enemies. He did curse Bihanzin a long time ago. Perhaps, he's a master of curses."

"Er... I don't think so."

The soldiers discussed the ball of brown light descending upon the battlefield.
