《Wilberforce》Chapter 118: The First Army Arrived

While Suwainah deceived Armad's soul to his capture, in Jekis, celebrations were held without a stop. Armad had gone to almost every major road in the city. Gradually, they came to the central market where they met a large crowd waiting for them.
Everyone was cheering and throwing colorful flowers to show their support. Armad was so tired he could only respond by nodding his head and smiling. Nostalgia didn't mind the crowd in the slightest. All her attention was on Armad and nothing stopped her from pinching him from time to time.
Armad ignored her. He would have his revenge later.
As they passed through the market, a middle-aged man jumped from the crowd and hugged Armad. The guards with the market surveillance team quickly reacted by taking the man away forcefully. Some began to shout 'he is a spy' and 'the enemy sent him, while others were envious and wanted to change places with the man.
"Wait," Armad stopped the guards. He looked at the man and asked, "Who are you? And what brought you here?"
The man raised his head and looked at Armad with wide, happy eyes and said, "I wanted to see you from the moment I saw your statue of Daikirin in Khán. I came here from Khan only to see you. I'll happily die with a smile now."
Armad looked into the man's eyes for a while before finally taking a deep breath. He took one of the flowers and gave it to the man.
The man couldn't believe it. When his hands touched the flower, his eyes went wide with excitement and joy.
"What's your name?" Armad asked him.
"My name is Miki Zarru," the man jumped in excitement.
Armad nodded his appreciation and then turned and left. Since that incident, the guards surrounded Armad and Nostalgia, making sure nobody went near them. When King Bihanzin heard about the incident, he ordered the Walk to be stopped.

Armad and Nostalgia were escorted to their new home in the palace. But the rest of the people continued to celebrate.
It was midnight and the groom was finally alone with his bride.
Armad looked at her and said, "Didn't you say the Consummation Day would wait until you're eighteen. According to you, you're still seventeen."
Nostalgia looked away in embarrassment. She said, "When the bride and groom are married, they have to live in the same house, but the house must belong to the woman's family. The Consummation Day involves the bride moving to her husband's house or his relatives."
Armad breathed deeply in exhaustion. It was a weird custom but he could live with it.
So now what?
"Ever since I was a kid I've had a dream. I don't know if you can help me fulfill it," Armad said.
Nostalgia was surprised to hear that. 'What dream is he talking about? He wouldn't be thinking of doing 'that thing' right away, would he?'
Seeing the look in her eyes, Armad was frightened. He quickly shook his head. "Stop. It's not that... I just want my bride to dance for me on our first night. Can you dance?"
Surprised, Nostalgia raised her head and looked at Armad. "Do you want me to?"
Armad nodded his head violently. He would like that more than anything.
Nostalgia walked forward from the bed and stood in front of Armad. Then she removed the veil over her head and untied the knot on her hair.
Then she danced. She raised both her hands up until her chest seemed like it would burst at any moment and then began to turn her body around as if there were no bones in her body. It was difficult, Armad could see that, but at the same time, the princess was able to execute it with grace. He had never seen anything so beautiful. Nostalgia wasn't only beautiful but also talented.

A few minutes later, Armad began to hear the sound of music in his ears. He looked at Nostalgia's mouth and saw no movement. He wanted to ask her about it but he felt like he would disrupt the rhythmic movements called dance, so he kept quiet and watch.
"I don't know either," the princess said as if reading his thoughts. "It's said that when the women of the Nara tribe dance, even djinns came down and watch. And when they are happy with what they see, they sing."
Armad looked around angrily. Who would dare furtively look at his wife? But there was no one there. The sound was coming from all over the room and there was no place where you could say it was louder.
Armad sighed and gave up. He didn't have the energy to look into it, not now.
The princess' beauty was something else. He could go as far as saying that even Nostalgia couldn't give herself such looks if she was asked to create herself. Unbeknownst to Armad, even the djinns witnessing the event praised the princess.
Five minutes later.
The bride and groom took off their dress. The oldest and most primal of desires overtook them.
And just like that, they spent the night as husband and wife for the first time in history. They danced, laughed, and cheered until they couldn't.
***
Meanwhile, as Armad and Nostalgia spent their night in the arms of each other, on the coast of the kingdom of Sisiya, an army of seventeen thousand horsemen waited for orders. They lined up in the direction of the capital city, Jekis.
Every one of them was wearing black clothes with white stripes on the shoulder and a very conspicuous iron helmet. And in their hands were huge weapons of various kinds.
After a moment, Uznu Ururu appeared before the army with a stern face. The whole seventeen thousand soldiers uniformly bowed their heads and greeted him. It was so coordinated that it looked otherworldly and just made you want to bow to the man.
Uznu murmured some indistinct words and clapped his hands in a gesture. In response, the solid ground turned into liquid, and the army slowly sunk inside.
In just a minute, everyone disappeared and only Uznu remained there. He smiled wickedly and also disappeared.
After an unspecified time, Uznu and his army emerged from the solid ground behind the walls of Jekis, the same city where Armad's marriage was being celebrated.
Time passed slowly as the army emerged. It was first their armored heads. Then their torsos and finally their legs.
Once the fleet appeared, the pandemonium set in. The guards on duty outside the gate changed into battle formations.
The captain thought it was ridiculous and he said, "What are you doing? Come inside and close the damn gates."
"Eh?" The guards had confused expressions. But then they realized their mistake. It was seventeen thousand jinzidal army soldiers against twenty ordinary guards. They quickly abandoned their positions and ran into the city and closed the gate.
Everyone had seen how the jinzidal army got there. They didn't look tired at all and their clothes were as good as new. In other words, there was no sign of traveling or tiredness in them.
Did they come to take Armad away?

The Paths of Magick
Credits: Story by Xcaliburnt. Cover Art by @Bervolart. Magick, the power to bend the laws of reality. All because of a mystical substance known as mana. Mages follow the Paths to achieve power, for there is no more addictive chase. Each Path winds and twists, forcing mages through the flames of adversity and challenge. Though the operative word is "path", the reality is far less straightforward. Instead of a road, Paths are like the branches of world trees, erupting into the heavens, intertwining, and ending in sharp snaps. Only the strongest reach the sky. There are several Paths, and many Ways to walk them—variations of the same Path, and like the stars, they are endless. Magick is the sacred flame that scours the fat, rendering the truest self. Superfluous flesh melting away to show the skeleton of one's being. A chance for ascension—apotheosis. Though not every mage works to godhood, if they survive long enough, It is inescapable. Witness the lives of those that tread the knife's edge of self-destruction. Each one intertwined in their search for answers, revenge, and, most of all: power. These individuals have all lost something precious—irreplaceable—and In search of filling the void left behind, they have taken up the mantle of a mage. Per aspera ad astra. Ad mortem vel divinitatis. (Through adversity to the stars. To death or divinity.) There is no consistent release schedule except my consistent inconsistency. Besides, there’s like a thousand pages worth of content, how can—you already read it? Goddamn. Oh, and there is a very long hiatus between volumes as I intend to edit and rewrite a lot. What to Expect: This story is progression fantasy, so expect a healthy dose of training. It's also heavy on slice of life, and it isn't entirely overarching-plot-driven. Expect characters to live their lives, and not always be on some quest to save the world. There's a lot of magic theory and discussion about it in the story. So, if you don't like impromptu lessons on sorcerous theory by traveling monster slayers, this might not be for you. But if you do like it, rejoice! For there is a lot of it. This is also heavy on prose, purple as a bruised eye. I use outdated, uneccesarily collegiate-level terms and play around with the writing style just for the heck of it. I find it fun to wax and wane poetic, and that might grate on you—I don’t plan to change this aspect of the Paths much if at all. Onto the viewer discretion is advised parts: This is grim-dark/ grim-heart. Take the tags seriously. There will be combat scenes that are brutal and horrifying. Fights to the death tend to be. This is a tale about medieval mercenaries (quite literal killers for hire), man-eating monsters, and eldritch gods beyond the material plane. Beside that, there will be traumatic events that are best left unread. I do not detail certain acts I find heinous enough, instead leaving some parts unwritten but still alludded to if not outright stated; there is simply no graphic narration thereof. This is not for the faint of heart.

Read this to know if she's going to choose the son of Captain Hook or Cruella De Vil's son.**This was supposed to be an 'X OC' Fanfic but I decided to change it into an 'X Reader' because that's really more ideal than the other**

Blind As a Bat [1st book complete]
Book 1 He was cast to the edges of his clan. His father could not stand to even look at him. His baby sister probably didn't even know he was her brother... All because he, unlike all other vampire (The correct terminology will be Wanpyrkos; van-peer-coe-s) kind, was born blind. And what do all creatures do to those that are different, those that do not fit society, those that they think should not have been born to this civilized society...? [Book Cover Made by the wonderful THEMIDNIGHTECLIPSE13] - thank you! I'm only introducing the perspective of the main character for the first part. Things change drastically soon after that. [BDSM entries are clearly marked and written so they can be skipped without affecting the story] ***A couple scenes to whet your palate*** 1. "Uh, we heal from pretty much everything and anything. Have you ever tried physically damaging your eyes to see if they would fully heal?" "N-no. No, it doesn't work," I forced out, my voice a little strangled and cracking before hardening. "And stuff like that, isn't that just wrong?! Hurting someone just to 'fix' them." 2. I leaned and he met me, our soft lips touching and moving perfectly on each other's. I felt as his tongue ran the slit of my lips, my tongue coming to graze it as it passed over, knowing doing so was like catnip to him. He leaned closer, and I shivered as his hands ran from low on my hips and grazed along and up my ribs, pulling my chest closer to his so my body arched and rubbed against him. I hummed in appreciation. [warning: so far aggressive or physical bullying and maybe a little kidnappage and sexual themes as well as possible trigger warnings]
