《Wilberforce》Chapter 59: The Seven Worlds

Similarly, Armad and Babara continued to walk slowly until sunset. Most of their conversations involved Babara asking Armad about his experience in the search for Triple Factor. As they caught sight of the north wall in the distance, Babara stopped and looked for a place to sit.

"I promised Zaikid I would teach you how to control your eyes and heal your mother, so from now on you and I will work together. Zaikid has left your mentorship as a student to me. I will like it if you give me the same respect you'll give him while I teach you."

Armad nodded. He was well disciplined and even if Babara didn't mention it, he had no intention of disrespecting him.

Babara looked at Armad again. "What do you know about the seven worlds? I want a detailed account."

Armad was silent for a moment, wondering what this question had to do with what Babara was going to teach him, but still decided to explain what he knew.

"The seven worlds are the only places where humans can exist. The worlds exist in parallel, one above another, from the first to the seventh world. The distance between these worlds is immeasurable and that is why no world can ever know about the existence of another except for the wall that connects them. The wall extends from the first to the seventh world. It stands since the beginning of time and it's still flowing. Many scholars have written about the gigantic waterfall known as the wall and why it keeps pouring for so long and the place where it was pouring to haven't flooded, but up to this time the only answer they got was ‘magic.’ That is to say, they do not know."

Armad took a deep breath and looked for a place to sit next to Babara before continuing, "I didn't know why the waterfall is called a wall, and the first time I saw it was the year I came to you. After I left, I met with Nostalgia and that was when I saw it. A waterfall of immeasurable height and width that was seen from everywhere. It stood like a wall of metal, hard and strong. I then realized why it was called a wall.

"There are two walls by the way: one wall on the right side and one on the left, the so-called north and south walls. These two walls cut through each world and divide them into three parts: the northern hemisphere on the right, the southern hemisphere on the left, and the middle region called the equatora.

"Each part is an independent world of millions of people. At any time of the year, the southern hemisphere is very cold and you often have snow, but the northern hemisphere is hot all year round. My grandfather Zaikid told me the equatora was both cold and hot: half a year hot, and half a year cold.

"There are only two routes that humans can travel from one world to another. The first route is called Eycigan and the second route is by sea. Eycigan is an Aldurish word meaning home. And so it is a fourteen-story housing system built in each of the seven worlds. No one knows how they are built or how they work but they have portals that take people wherever they want in the seven worlds. After opening that portal for me a few years ago, I discovered that the Eycigan looked just like it. Nostalgia also opened a similar portal for me a few days ago."

He stared at the ground in silence before he sighed and went on, "the second option is to use ships to travel from world to world on the wall. This method is not suited for most people. There are always pirates there to rob you and dordors to eat you. Even though the Eycigan route is very expensive, people still prefer it especially because of how fast it was. A ship would take several months to reach its destination despite the favoring currents."

Armad waited for Babara to praise him. There wasn't anything important in the seven worlds map that he failed to mention but Babara was giving him the kind of look that urged him to continue. Armad knitted his eyebrows in confusion. What was there left to say?

Babara shook his head. "Yeah... your explanation is right but you didn't tell me how to travel from one hemisphere to another in the same world? We are in the northern hemisphere of the third world now and we want to get to the southern hemisphere. How do we do that? You should know that even the Eycigan houses and the portals you see us opening can't take a person from one hemisphere to another."

Armad rolled his eyes in realization. He had never stopped and asked himself that question. In his mind, traveling from one world to another was difficult but traveling from one hemisphere to another in the same world wouldn't be so difficult.

Armad shook his head. "I... don't know."

Babara smiled, "Well, that's actually why I asked you to describe the seven worlds. I want you to understand the kind of trouble you're going to get into shortly."

"What trouble?" Armad couldn't keep quiet.

Babara pretended not to hear him and continued, "Breaking through the wall is a big deal that even powerful men are afraid of. The north and south walls are bigger than you think. I am one of those who believe that the world inside the wall is the most dangerous place in our existence. We are going to travel through the wall to this place, and in it, I will teach you how to control your power. I'm not going to lie or sugar-coat it, I have only been able to cross half of that place myself. You and I can all perish there. But I have made a promise to teach you and a true Bayajidda don't break their promise."
