《My Pirate System》Chapter 34: An Apology To The Abuser

The man walked close to her and said in a low voice, "Be a good bitch and stay here, or do you want to be sold as a slave?"
The man asked as his hands moved towards the girl's clothes. Due to the low quality of the cloth, it didn't take him so much effort to tear her clothes.
"NO! FATHER! LET ME GO!", the older girl yelled in a panicked voice.
Tanya also tried to stop her father by pulling him back.
Alas, her small stature was no match to the man's big body. She was immediately shoved to the side.
At this point, Shiro lost all sanity he had left as he remembered his late mother's similar situation.
Shiro opened his eyes and picked up the glass bottle from the table, before blasting it on the man's head.
*BAM*
The man fell down to the ground, hard.
"Argh!"
Blood was pouring out of the man's head. He groaned in pain as he held his painful head.
The glass bottle broke and bits of shards fell on the girls as well.
Luckily, both of them were quick to respond. The older girl got up and pushed her younger sister away from the glass.
The older girl had a small cut on her face and blood was oozing out of the cut.
However, she paid no attention to it as she inspected her sister to see whether she was hurt.
"Are you okay?", the older girl asked anxiously as she grabbed Tanya's shoulders.
Tanya nodded in a daze. Her eyes caught the sight of her older sister's face.
"Sister, your face…", the younger girl gasped in shock.
The older girl let go of her sister and touched her face. She winced in pain when her hand was in contact with the cut.

"It's okay, as long as you're alright."
While both girls were busy, Shiro was looking down on the man who was currently on his knees.
His eyes were as cold as ice as he glared at the man. His current look did not match his age at all.
The man trembled in fear as he saw the look on Shiro's face. The boy in front of him was very intimidating, which reminded him of the looks of the loan sharks he encountered while gambling. No, even their gazes seemed to be dull when compared to that of Shiro's.
"Who do you think you are?", Shiro yelled loudly.
"Are you even a human?"
"How could you think of selling your daughter!?"
The girls were bewildered by the scene in front of them.
This boy was only 8 years old, but he was lecturing their father who was almost half a century older than him.
The man looked at Shiro in confusion.
"Weren't you asleep?"
"No…"
"It doesn't even make sense that you woke up!"
"I poured all the sleeping powder on you. Not just waking up, you should actually be dead!"
Shiro glared at him.
"Ha…"
"What can a mere sleeping powder do to me?"
"I wasn't asleep, to begin with…", Shin said in a cold and deep tone, as if showing his dominance and superiority.
The man gulped as he realized Shiro had listened to all of his conversations with his daughters.
Without hesitating, Shiro kicked the man in the gut which made him pass out.
Blood was still flowing from the man's head, forming a small puddle of blood on the floor.
Shiro smiled as he believed he had done a great job. He had saved the girls from such a b*stard who dared to call himself a father.

Shiro turned around to see the girls, expecting to see tears of joy from them.
Instead, all he saw was the horror look on their face.
"Wh-what did you do?!", the older girl screamed as she rushed towards her father's side, ignoring all the piercing glass shards on her way.
Shiro was confused by her reaction. He looked at the younger girl and realized she was sobbing.
"He's our father! How dare you lay your hands on him?!", The younger girl yelled as she also rushed towards her father's side.
Her body was trembling in fear as soon as she saw the blood that was flowing out from her father's head, but she still ran to her father's side.
Their sick mother opened her eyes as soon as she heard her daughters' cries.
She was indeed a mother – even cracking sounds didn't wake her up while just mere cries of her daughters' did.
"What happened?", she asked weakly as her eyes trailed to the body that was lying unconscious on the ground.
Her eyes widened in shock as she saw that the body was actually her husband, and there was a small puddle of blood next to him.
She fell from the bed, hitting her face on the floor.
Shiro wanted to help her, but she was already crawling toward her husband.
Her face was ghastly pale and her body was scrawny.
Perhaps due to the fall earlier, her forehead was also turning red.
Shiro was confused at their reaction, rethinking his decision.
Did he do something wrong again?
His heart started to pain a bit as if a thorn was pierced. He gasped, panting at the same time, thinking what he did was right.
But no matter what, the blood around him, and the expressions on all their faces, made him think otherwise.
Without getting an actual answer, Shiro opened the inventory and withdrew 100 gold coins, half of what he had.
He turned to the older girl and placed the pouch filled with the gold coins he had just withdrawn on her palm.
"It will cost about 20 gold coins for your father's treatment… and maybe another 20 gold coins for your mother's treatment. As for the rest, I hope it'll help you live well for a few days, or you could start a business using the coins."
"Also, you can keep the previous 50 gold coins…"
As soon as Shiro said that, he stood up and left the house.
When he stepped out of the house, he looked behind one more time and apologized.
"Sorry."

The Infinity Islands
I was just supposed to be a normal guy! I was about to graduate from my normal university with my normal English degree, about to begin my first foray out into the real world. But somehow, I had ended up worlds away instead. Far, far away from home, in a world that should have been just like mine, running and fighting for my life in a war I didn't understand. None of us knew why or how we were there or what we were ultimately supposed to accomplish. But that didn't really matter, did it? In my new world, there was only one rule: survive! --- Hey all, I'm Ken, and this is my first time sharing a story online. This story is heavily inspired by Terror Infinity, if it wasn't obvious from the title. I've been interested in making a Terror Infinity story for a while now, but I have a lot of problems with its system and mechanics, so I decided to just make my own system instead of trying to adapt to that one. If you find any mistakes, typos, or awkward phrasing please let me know in the comments so I can fix it! I hope everyone can enjoy this story but, even if you don't, please let me know why and what you think I can do to improve. Thank you. (The original picture for the cover can be found here)
