Chapter 11: Goodbye.

It all was normal that morning.

Until she left.

As that had happened,

I went after

The girl I loved.

Where we left off,

Was good enough for Gowa.

But not for me.

So I used a spell, and found her.

I found her far away.

In another land.

Separated from her blood.

But more importantly, separated from me.

I approached her small log house.

I said,

“Why did you come here?”

But all she said was,

“I needed to.”

The more I pressed on, the further she fell away.

Until suddenly, she gave up with looks.

“I came from Earth. I barely had enough mental energy to comprehend what was going on, but for some reason I came with you. I came with you to this strange planet. I asked god why. But he didn’t reply. I got some info from another source, and found out the secret to immortality, it was you. You were the secret. With immortality, I could stay with my family, my friends! So I went straight to you. I played along til I got my wish, I got my immortality. So I left. I never felt at home in a royal castle.” Gowa paused, “I left you, so why did you come after me? Did you really think I would just say, you’re right, and come back with you? You’re a fool, so leave me alone now!”

So Gowa was a lie. A lie through and through. All those years, all that time I spent. All a lie. All just for Gowa to steal my immortality power.

“Gowa, please. I’ll give you whatever you want, so please, give this up. Please just come home with me.”

“I never felt an ounce of love for you, so leave.”

Have it your way.

But you’ll have to pay the price.

I pulled out a scrap of paper, and wrote the word, “Reconstructing…” on it.

“Goodbye.” I said firmly. As the fall leaves blew past my face, I was lifted away.
