How many times do I have to die? Is it really necessary?

I layed down in silence, slowly losing consciousness.

I stayed up too long, whoops.

You know, I think I have an assignment tommorow.

Chapter 1: A New Place To Call Home

I awoke in a small room, with a large window. There were shelves with many books on them, and a small board game on the ground titled, “Rhythm”

I looked out the window and saw a large city. There was no door, so I had to improvise my way out of this room.

I climbed out of the window, and looked closer at the buildings. They were all one story, and all in the same, old german-like architecture style.

There was no one in the city though.

I went through many of the buildings, and I eventually saw one person.

I went to approach them, but then,

My alarm rang.

I was only in that world for 30 minutes, yet it felt like hours.

Even though I got some sleep, I was still tired.

Enough so, that when I got to my homeroom class that day, not only did I not have my assignment, but I fell back asleep in the middle of class.

This time though, when I woke up, everyone was gone.

I looked at my watch, it was stuck at 8:30. I looked to the ceiling for answers, yet found nothing. I stared at the ceiling, lost. When I finally looked down, I looked at the whiteboard. On it, there was writing that said, “Reconstructing”

What was being reconstructed?

The handwriting was perfect. Too perfect.

But before I could process anything, I was in the sky, looking down at earth.

“You know, earth was one of my greatest creations. But I can understand why you would scrap it.” I looked up, and there was an old man talking to me.

I didn’t understand, his creation? What does he mean I scrapped it?

“Oh, I should probably tell you since you’re wondering, I am God.”

“God?” I replied, “And how did you-”

“I’m God, did you really think I couldn’t hear your thoughts?”

Well, he made a fair point.

I didn’t have a hard time believing he was the real god, considering I was flying thousands of miles away from earth, yet breathing perfectly. I spoke to the old man again,

“Could you answer my other question please? How did I scrap earth?”

“Well. I guess since you’ve already experienced a reconstruction, I can probably tell you. You are a wielder.”

“A wielder?”

“A wielder with a small amount of power. You can create and destroy small galaxies.”

“Small? Galaxy? Aren’t those antonyms?”

“Oh yes, your society hadn’t discovered the true size of everything. One day you will know, if you play it right.”

“If I play it right?”

“Oh yes, your goal… Is to make a perfect reality for every living thing. This means that space exploration is mandatory for your goal. In fact, the only way you can die is if you accomplish your goal.”

“Wait… I have to make a perfect reality? Don’t we all have different definitions of perfect?”

“Ah, you are perfect for this job. You already have a concept developed that many people don’t understand.”

“Could you please answer my question?”

“No need to rush, but I will answer. However, this is your last question. The rest of your information you must gain by yourself. Is there anything more important you would like to ask?”

“Yeah, I think I will choose something else… Is there any way I can get back in contact with you and ask more questions?”

“Well… It is difficult, but you can do that, yes. You can ask one question per planet conquered. Up to ten planets. Then it’s up to ten galaxies, then up to ten- Oh you get the point.”

I sat there in silence for a little bit, trying to absorb all this information. But that’s when God said his final words to me.

“There are a few mandatory things I must say.” God cleared his throat, “First, you will be born into a society that has been around on a planet called Akafwhuwa (Pronounced, aka-who-wa), for 500 years. Although, time hasn’t been kept very well, so the people don’t know this. They use generations as their calendars. Second, you will be born as a 10 year old boy, in the middle of the woods. You will have no name, and no family to guide you at the start. Third, magic exists on Akafwhuwa. It is a system that will be most useful if you want to gain attention. Fourth, for your time in this new galaxy, your aging will follow a different process. From your time age 10-20, one normal year of aging will take 4 years. When you reach age 20, it will take 100 years for a one year aging process. Once you reach the age of 40, your aging will completely stop. Your aging will follow this process because you are invincible in this galaxy. You can actually give this invincibility to other people, if you perform the ritual. Finally, Good luck.”

I sat there. He just said about a million words, and I was trying to process them.

God slowly disappeared. Just as the world I once lived in. I started to cry. I cried and cried.

The thing that finally stopped me, was the view of my new world. It was even more beautiful than earth.

I felt my soul blast off, to my new body. Just as God said, I was in the body of a ten year-old. In the middle of the woods. I picked a direction, and walked.
