TWELVE
Kerry spoke to Beth and the boy in a strange, gravelly voice. “I am not just some lower demon, you pathetic humans. I am Alastor! I will keep building my strength, weakening the thin barrier between this world and mine and bring over my demon kin. A mere excorsist will not be able to beat me.”
Then the voice changed. It was Kerry’s own voice. “If you know how to pray, pray! If you believe or not, the energy will affect the demon!”
The voice of Alastor returned, “You are quite strongwilled, Father. But now you will shut up!”
The muscles of Kerry’s face started to constrict. Like he was fighting to speak. It was his own voice that said, “If the prayers don’t help, hand me the plan B I bought and hid in the lower drawer of my desk.”
“Shut up, human!” Alastor growled, silencing Kerry again.
The boy understood he had to get to the desk before Alastor got the idea to look what was inside the drawer. As he did so, he started to pray. He wasn’t a religious person, but knew how to say a Hail Mary. As he ran to the desk he prayed. Beth followed his example.
The prayers seemed to bother the demon somewhat. “Stop that you idiots or I will tear out your hearts!”
The room started to shake, Kerry’s eyes lit up. Snakes started to crawl out of the ceiling. The boy knew he shouldn’t allow himself to be distracted. He had to get to the desk drawer.
“Keep praying!” he told Beth.
Beth had a hard time getting hold of her fear as the snakes started to crawl around the floor. She kicked one of the snakes away from her, sweat drenching her, shaking of fear. But she kept on praying.

The boy saw Kerry weakening, swaying. Like he had trouble standing upright. He opened the desk drawer and found what Kerry had hidden there. It was a small revolver.
“I will rip you to shreds!” Alastor screamed. Now, from the floor came thousands of scorpions.
Beth ran to the desk, climbing on top of it to protect herself from the scorpions. She kept praying as did the boy. He was hoping the prayers would weaken Alastor enough for Kerry to take control for a moment. He had an idea what Kerry’s plan was. He didn’t like it one bit, but he understood it might be the only way out of this.
“Now,” Kerry’s own voice sounded, his eyes his normal color again instead of demonic yellow. “Give it to me. Quickly, I can’t control myself much longer.”
The boy tossed the revolver, underhanded, to the priest. Father Kerry caught the revolver and put the barrel against his chin.
One eye went yellow, one stayed normal. Alastor’s gravelly voice said, “No! I won’t let you!”
“Go back to hell!” Kerry’s voice sounded.
The boy covered Beth’s eyes with his hands and closed his own. A loud deafening bang, then silence.
As he opened his eyes he saw the dead body of Father Kerry on the floor, his cranium opened by the gunshot. The scorpions, the snakes, alle gone. It looked like the priest’s sacrifice had not been in vain.
“Oh no! What happened?” Beth asked.
“I think Father Kerry went to heaven and Alastor back to hell,” the boy said.

Rise of the Firstborn
[A participant in the Royal Road Writathon Challenge]As the inhibitor rises and the eternal flame is quenched, our lands shall be freed, and only then will the Princess be set to flee. It began with ice. A relentless, bone-chilling tickle of frost that stretched across the lands of Axulran, crawling over the mountain crests and freezing the grassy meadows. Frozen in time, the kingdom fought for political control all across the region of Ellixus, paying no mind to the death and torment they may cause along the way. Cateline Bennett, a princess consumed with ice, found herself lost in a foreign kingdom with nothing but her wits to survive. As she explores this unknown land, she unravels her past and discovers that the magic she had concealed for so long could unleash chaos so intense, it could destroy the world as she knew it. With her untapped magic and new friends, Cateline must vanquish the enemies that threatened the world of Denzethea as they knew it, else they, and all they knew, would crumble to ruin. NOTE: A review on this fiction has indicated that certain themes were traumatizing. While I believe this to be exagerated, I have added the appropriate tag for those who may be sensitive to those themes (fever dreams, delusions, and trials and tribulations).

I Totally Don't Have Anger Problems!
Discontinued 7/11/2020 Sorry if anyone was hoping for more updates. It seems I'm losing interest in the character as time goes on - not sure if that's due to miscalculated character development direction or just a limited amount to express in the first place. If I do any writing projects in the future, I'll make sure the premise has a lot of room for long-term, interesting, development before posting anything. Thanks to everyone who gave feedback! I’m Talia Shimada, and my life just got a lot more complicated. One moment I was just doing some regular investigation of an interesting boy from my senior year in high school, and then suddenly, everything went wrong and I was stranded in another world in the middle of nowhere. It’s not my fault he left a clear line of sight to his house keys where they could be photographed and replicated on a 3D printer! Now I’m stuck in the middle of a giant forest with all these annoying creatures that keep attacking me until I SMASH THEM INTO PIECES AND STOMP ON THEIR REMAINS, surviving off of raw meat and, well, other kinds of raw meat. What, am I supposed to know which plants are edible in some far-away wilderness on another PLANET!? This is a planet right? It has to be! What did I do to deserve this? At least that class I got is useful. Now, when something doesn’t do what it’s supposed to, I can keep smashing it until it CAN’T BE A PROBLEM ANY MORE BECAUSE IT’S NOT ABLE TO DO ANYTHING AT ALL! If anyone else tries to get in the way of my plans, I’ll just PICK UP THEIR PUNY BODIES AND THROW THEM ASIDE and watch them sail away, never to trouble me again, because I am DONE having people mess with my life and not being able to do anything about it! From now on, anyone who tries will get to briefly realize their error as I SMASH THEM INTO PASTE BECAUSE THEY PICKED A FIGHT WITH THE WRONG WOMAN! I totally don’t have anger problems! Updates Sundays and Wednesdays, occassionaly Fridays
