FOUR
Beth got chills down her spine just thinking about how real the images had gotten lately. She told the boy about the old man and the maggots she had seen in her room just before he’d arrived at her door. But there had been more instances.
“A few days ago the walls seemed to melt. As the plaster and bricks dribbled down on the floor they started to light up, suddenly on fire. They surrounded me, closing me in. I screamed and the fire was gone, the walls back to normal. A bit longer ago I saw something crawl on the ceiling. It was a thin woman with eight legs, sticking out a forked tongue. Suddenly that creature was gone again. But they were there, in front of my eyes, not just in my mind. I feel like I am truly, slowly going crazy.”
“Sounds like some sort of bad acid trip or something,” the boy said. He’d been on a few of them, hoping to unlock the part of his brain that withheld him from feeling fear. It hadn’t done that, but had given him some interesting visions.
“I guess. I’ve never used any drugs, though. So it isn’t that. It’s like Alastor is messing with my head or something. Oh, you must think I’m just totally batshit crazy.”
“I’ve seen a few strange things during my travels, don’t worry about that. I don’t think you’re crazy,” the boy said.
“Well, I just don’t know how long I will be able to take this. The images are getting more real every day and…” That’s when she smelled the sulfur. The smell was so strong she felt nauseous.
“What’s wrong?” the boy asked her.
“Don’t you smell it? The stink?”
The boy sniffed. “No, I don’t think so.”

Behind the boy a grey shape appeared, like it had been sitting down behind the chair all of the time. It rose. It looked like a demon, sinewy and veined grey arms, large ears, glowing red eyes. It had a black tongue that flicked in and out of a mouth full of fangs. It stroked the boy’s hair with a clawed hand.
The boy asked Beth, “What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?”
She pointed a finger at what she saw, trying to warn the boy. No words left her mouth.
The boy scratched his head, like something had bothered him there. Was he able to feel the demon, just not see it?
The demon scratched the boy’s cheek, drawing blood. The blood dribbled down his cheek. He jumped up, feeling the pain obviously. As he jumped up, the chair he had been sitting in fell down to the floor and the demon was gone as was the smell of sulfur.
“What the hell was that?” the boy said. He put a finger against his cheek. He looked at it, seeing the blood. “That hurt.”
“What the hell is right. It was some kind of demon and it was right behind you. It scratched you,” Beth said.
“Freaky,” the boy said. “Pretty interesting too. Sounds like your visions are indeed becoming real. I think we should maybe see if we can put a stop to it.”
“My first thought would have been to get myself institutionalized but as how it looks like that thing was indeed real that might not be the way to end this,” Beth said.
“If we’re dealing with demons, maybe we should ask some help from someone who knows more about them,” the boy said. “Before things get worse. Now it was just a scratch. Next time this demon might want to tear of my head. I can’t die before I have fulfilled my journey and have felt fear for the first time.”
Beth couldn’t believe the boy hadn’t felt any fear after what had happened there. Her own heart was racing.

Isoptera
Reincarnated, Crete finds himself not in some overpowered human body with the basic kill the demon lord cliche. No, he is reincarnated as a weak, powerless, and quite frankly worthless existence. Maybe his was a mistake, as he wasn't even reincarnated as a human but instead a humble and meek existence, A termite. Follow Crete as he adventures, without the memories of his previous life intact, in this New World, Honera. He trudges on endlessly with his indomitable willpower and journeys as a meek termite who is fraught with trials and tribulations; as he seeks for the power to just live in peace and without the prejudice everyone seems to have against his kind. Upload Schedule: M-W-F Hey guys this is my first attempt at a novel, based on the type of fiction I enjoy, it'll be mostly slow-paced at the start as I try to work out the kinks and learn more about "Isopterans". However, if y'all enjoy it leave a few nice reviews, or if you don't, leave some constructive criticism. Both would be appreciated. I also would be setting up a Patreon if any are interested in donating to help fund the story or you can send a donation through PayPal directly. I want to create something that we as RRoaders can enjoy together. You can also access the Discord here [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

It almost feels like Mira is cursed. Her life is going from bad to worse, and just when it feels like she’s bottomed out, she gets kidnapped by a demon named Jorath and taken to another world. She quickly learns that worse is a relative term, and that her life’s trajectory is on a steep decline. Now all she wants is to find a way back to Earth, to her normal boring life in a too-small apartment with a crappy retail job. Jorath has other ideas. He’s tired of being a slave, and he thinks Mira might just be the key to his freedom. He’ll return her home for a price. All she has to do is somehow survive long enough to confront the King of Demons and carve out his heart. Updates Mondays and Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. eastern time.

(Hello this is a story that I'm making and is basically just my fantasy of what it would be like to be a human with god-like powers and the MC is going to have my personality so you are reading some of my desires.) Everyone has at least once thought what it would it would be like to be GOD but only so many people have actually thought about it deeply and this story is going to be through my thoughts as what it would be like to be a god-like being that was once human (because it would be no fun to read or write what it would be like to be GOD since there are no obstacles as the definition of GOD.) (I'm writing this because my new favorite novel "Michael Ammers: My OP leisure life" has been dropped or is on a really long hiatus.

Sometimes I wonder why the world isn't decorated with something as cool as magic... Why can't we manipulate the laws of the world? Why does the story about God sound too fake to be believed? Why the hope for this world to be saved from the bottom of everyone's heart can never be fulfilled... Then I landed on each conclusion from each of those questions... That humans are the most cunning, meanest and stupidest creatures who are most desperately expected to not have any power including magic itself. That it is not God that we should believe in, because they themselves do not believe in how disgusting human nature really is. That everyone's hope is not for the world to be saved, but for the world to be destroyed in order to save their own selves. That the world from the beginning, was not meant to be saved... (I frequently revise and update the use of sentences in the previous chapters without disturbing the original storyline. so sometimes it takes me a little longer to publish a new chapter.) I have the same novel posted on another website (Webnovel.com , creativenovels.com) with the same name (RELINQUISH)
